The jnlp update process is corrupting the cache through hotspot network
Hi all,
This post is about a problem from the Java cache. We have a jnlp file responsible of updating our app (so we cannot put it “offline”). The problem is that some of our users run the application behind a hotspot network through wireless. In this case, they have no access to Internet but the java webstart mechanism try to download the JNLP in despite of this. In this case, JWS downloads the HTML login page and put it in its cache without any check. In consequence, the next access through shortcut is impossible.
Is it a known issue and is there a workaround?

FYI
We have removed the tag href from jnlp file and it's now ok. The jnlp is never updating but it's ok for us.

Creative Cloud update fails with "the download appears to be corrupted" when tried through our company's firewall, but succeeds if the computer is taken outside the firewall. The IT guys have opened up the ports and URL's specified in the Adobe documentation. Ok so I'm trying to update my iPad, and it keeps "timing out." I got to the actual update process, and it failed and asked me to restore my iPad, but I just can't lose all of my apps and photos! I payed for a lot of my apps, and my photos are just too important. Someone please help!
If rhe apps and photos are that important you made sure that you took the steps in order to keep them safe in an event like this didn't you?
You did backup the iPad before you decided to update the iPad correct?
And you did transfer all of your apps and other purchases into iTunes before you decided to update correct?
If you did, just restore the iPad and then restore from the backup at the end of fhe process and follow that with a sync with iTunes and you will lose nothing,
Now if you didn't do any of the precautionary steps .... -
My I4S went through the update process,but at the end said it could not update it. Can anyone help.
Well, the support document that you used to link here talks about restore error codes. Did you find the error code you received on that sheet? Do you have the latest version of iTunes loaded (v10.7) on the computer?

Ever since I updated Safari to 7.1 on my MacBook Air on Friday, I've been getting this pop up every couple of hours. It tells me that the computer will restart automatically in five minutes if action is not taken. So I can either restart manually or postpone the restart. I've never seen this type of pop up on a Mac before so I hesitate to restart. It just doesn't look like an update Apple would have. Attached is a screen grab. It not only allows Creative Cloud users to install their applications but also downloads and applies applicable updates. In addition it is also responsible for the licensing and managing your agreement to the terms and conditions of the EULA.
2. this could be due to you selecting a trial subscription to the Creative Cloud? If you go to one of the Adobe Creative products and select Help>Updates it will launch the update portion of the Adobe Application Manager which I believe is the portion you are looking for?
#3 I believe this was already mostly covered in the answer to #2.
#4 the Adobe Application Manager also receives periodic updates which affects both perpetual and Creative Cloud subscription users.

You cannot update it if you can't get the latest version of iTunes. Actually, the latest version of iTunes will run in XP if you have Service Pack 2. Also, you posted in the iPad forum, and your profile shows you have an iPad, but in your post, you say it is an iPod. Is it an iPad or an iPod?

i just downloaded the new update for itunes and the itunes store wont open up it is taking a long time it still hasnt loaded since 5pm, i also cant sighn in either it just keeps on saying accessing itunes....
Close your iTunes,
Go to command Prompt -
(Win 7/Vista) - START/ALL PROGRAMS/ACCESSORIES, right mouse click "Command Prompt", choose "Run as Administrator".
(Win XP SP2 & above) - START/ALL PROGRAMS/ACCESSORIES/Command Prompt
In the "Command Prompt" screen, type in
netsh winsock reset
Hit "ENTER" key
Restart your computer.
If you do get a prompt after restart windows to remap LSP, just click NO.
Now launch your iTunes and see if it is working now.
If you are still having these type of problems after trying the winsock reset, refer to this article to identify which software in your system is inserting LSP:

When I go to edit a picture from Lightroom to Photoshop it does not open in Photoshop, it use to work before the latest update, but I deleted the last version of Photoshop CC and now it isn't editing photos!

I want to download the new updates I think to the 10.9 but our mac was given to us and when it comes to the last page it asks for the user name and password but this mac was wiped clean. If you don't have the user name and password used to set up the machine then you need to purchase the apps for yourself. -

My iphone 5 got suddenly slipped into recovery mode when i was updating my phone with the latest update. I request the officials to act fast and come up with a recovery solution because the phone is unable to get restored on itunes due to "error 3" when ever i am trying to restore and neither of the istores have the solution for the same.

I tried updating my iPhone with the latest update. It downloads the update to my computer fine, but when it tries to update the phone, I keep getting a fault code of 3014. I've tried it four times.
Try taking it to the nearest Apple Store. They should have computers there that they can use to get your iPhone out of recovery mode. Make an appointment first.
