What about before you start the game? After you start the game do this:
Open Activity Monitor in the Utilities folder. Select All Processes from the Processes dropdown menu. Click twice on the CPU% column header to display in descending order. If you find a process using a large amount of CPU time (>=70,) then select the process and click on the Quit icon in the toolbar. Click on the Force Quit button to kill the process. See if that helps. Be sure to note the name of the runaway process so you can track down the cause of the problem.
If it's the game causing the problem then either something is wrong with the game or it's not compatible with Lion.

From your post I understand you're not getting any audio output from your speakers when you're playing games. Follow the steps below to resolve the issue:
Verify that the volume is set to a level you would normally be able to hear.
Ensure that there is nothing plugged in to the headset jack or the dock connector.
If the iPhone is in a protective case, make sure that the speaker port isn't blocked by the case.
Make sure that the speaker and dock port aren't clogged with debris. If necessary, clean it with a clean, small, dry, soft-bristled brush. Carefully and gently brush away any debris.
If an audio issue occurs when using a specific application, try testing other applications to see if the issue persists.
If the iPhone is paired with a Bluetooth headset or car kit:
Try turning off Bluetooth.
If you experience difficulties with the Bluetooth feature, follow these troubleshooting steps.
Restart the iPhone.
If restarting doesn't fix the issue, ensure that your iPhone is updated to the latest version of iOS.
If the issue is not resolved, please contact Apple Support.

Hi,
As the Other threads suggests I would check the Date and Time settings on the Mac and compare that with the settings in the router.
Messages (and iChat before that) send Time stamped info to Login and to send IMs.
Obviously most people set their Macs to their Time Zone and nearest city/town.
What people sometimes forget is that their Router/Modem device(s) have to be set correctly as well.

Also Add a Public DNS server to your System Preferences> Network > Advanced Button > DNS tab
A Google one such as 8.8.4.4 or 8.8.8.8 seem to work well for most people

When I play music there is a sound. But when I play all my game apps, there is no sound. I have check the volumes and make sure the volume is up but can't seem to make it work. Have you got notifications muted ? Only notifications (including games) get muted, so the iPod and Videos apps, and headphones, still get sound.
Depending on what you've got Settings > General > Use Side Switch To set to (mute or rotation lock), then you can mute notifications by the switch on the right hand side of the iPad, or via the taskbar : double-click the home button; slide from the left; and it's the icon far left; press home again to exit the taskbar. It doesn't sound like any of my regular applications. Maybe it is the lock noise but I can't tell for sure. More movement makes more beeps. Even walking with my phone in my pocket creates beeps. Hi, once in a while the screen on my 5K imac turns black and white when I'm on youtube watching videos in fullscreen mode. It also exits the fullscreen mode automatically from one second to the next and a warning pops up saying how I can exit the fullscreen mode. Does anyone have an idea why this happens and if this is a software or hardware problem?

I'm using a Dell laptop with Windows 7. I've set the resolution to 1024x768, though the maximum resolution on this can go as high as 1366x768. So this is a problem that no one has been able to figure out? I've ran lots of other Flash-based applications that went fullscreen with no problem, so I'm wondering what other methods there are to try, if possible.

That's a real tough one, trying to figure out why one or two CDs out of a dozen will not work...? Most likely they are slightly warped, out of round, off center or have some sort of film or blemesh that your superdrive doesn't like...?
You might try burning them to blank discs on another Mac or PC and see if they'll work that way.

Presuming you get the chime, most of your Mac hardware is working and has passed the first part of the power-on self-test.
If the screen comes on, basic graphics is working.
The dark gray Apple is not present inside the Mac -- it must be loaded from a boot device. If the dark gray Apple appears, at least one of your boot devices has some capabilities. The flower petal/gear moves while Darwin is initializing and loading. If it stops immediately, something is terribly wrong.
When the screen turns blue, Mac OS X has loaded and your graphics card transitions to Interrupt-driven operation. LoginWindow task draws the login screen, and Mac OS X is ready for login.
What could be the problem depends on where in the process it stops, and whether the power light is blinking.

I've restored the phone using iTunes on my laptop and checked all the volumes are turned up and the button at the left hand Side of the phone is in the correct position.

Try inserting and re-inserting your headphones 7 or 8 times. Also try cleaning out the headphone jack in case of debris that might be interfering with the connection/disconnection.
