GIMME YOUR OLD JUNKY WATCH PLEASE.. !!!!!
i GOT this watch so I could time polaroids and do film developement in cans ( time the chemicals etc )...and it was cool cause it has a second hand ( not minutes and hours alone.. has a cool hand that shows 'seconds'. When I bought it there were very few watches in the world you could buy that actually HAD that feature, cause most watches were showing current time with digital numbers and had other more important features.. like maybe you could tell what time it was in COWTOWN USA even though you lived in VIENNA ... but it was just a digital display and didn't have a little hand that moved around in seconds.
The first thing that got whacky with this watch is the calendar thing.. cause it no longer knows what year it is or what month it is depending on the leap year... that setting has been crazed for a couple years.. but luckily I rarely CARE what day it is according to my watch. I figure, " If I know what day it is and what date it is .... from local newsapaper and just asking my neighbors ... I am okay with my watch not being accurate about the date and day"
Of course it would be nice if it was accurate about that..but I didn't have the money to send the watch to CITIZEN to have it totally rebuilt which would cost about a gazillion dollars for all new inner works etc.
So now it suddenly stopped moving the second hand ! It moves then stops.. then ( and this is the show stopper IMO ) it GOES BACKWARDS ! LIKE, it stops and goes back one second then stops again and then moves on.. and then stops and then goes forward, and then stops and GOES BACKWARDS again !
IMO IT IS OUT OF ITS MIND !
Since it is happy with sunlight to power up the secret battery thing and since it's been a long winter with NO SUNLIGHT for about 6 freakin months .. I now have put it on the window sill where there is a small amount of light coming through the grey clouds up there.... so maybe it will get invigorated or happy again... ????
Meantime, I am pretty much fed up with this stupid watch.. so I know there are big watch collectors out there who come around here... and so I'm wondering.. do you have some simple watch with a second hand ( to count seconds , not minutes and hours.. but " seconds " )... that you are not using and is not precious to you .... that you can send me ???? I would appreciate it.
You are welcome to have this piece of junk if you think it's worth your collection and wanna get it fixed...

col, its only gonna get worse.. it's the cc " only " plan... and the market it attracts.... is gonna be normal soon...
at some point the forum will have to make it more plain this isn't ADOBE.. just users.. right off the bat...so they know what to expect if people dont respond to their posts.
anyway, I am still without a watch which I threw into garbage yesterday.. and hear my camera shooting a single frame every minute now... as the snow melts off the tree and sun moves across the sky .. etc.. and I saw some nice cardinal in the tree a little while ago.. sooooo, I got the idea to maybe put a fake bird on the tree so I could get a few shots of the bird being there.. on the branch I'm shooting.. you know ???? just cheat a little bit and have a nice bird in the pic.....or several pics if it stays there long enough....
I know this might be hard to follow my logic here.. but first I was thinking of watches flying into the garbage.. along with emperor heads flying out windows ... ( books I'm reading about decline and fall of roman empire which may take the rest of my life to finish reading ) ... and the image of " THAR SHE BLOWS " came into my head.. cause that was my biggest fear.. if I put a fake bird on the branch out there .. would it get blown up so much that it would ROCKET OFF INTO SPACE ??? which would ruin my photo sequence.....

jpmarkques post is a good start point, after folling his directions, you can try detect displays. Also try different rsolution and refresh rates.
Most of the projectors I have used support a 1024X768 res.
Youcan also try a pram reset if it still does not detect.
Leave theproctor connected and powered up, power down the MBP.
Power back up the MBP and hold the following keys before you hear the start up chime:
Option, command, P,R (no commas) continue to hold these keys till you hear the start up chime 2 times. -

Put in a request for another verification e-mail to be sent to you.
Start here, change your country if necessary and go to manage your account.
Also check your Mail rules and filtering, the verification mail may be going to a junk folder or even being deleted altogether. You may also wish to contact your mail provider to see if their spam filters are removing the email before it gets to you. -

First, are you sure you changed your email address associated with your Apple ID and did not creat a new Apple ID?
Try signing out of your Apple ID on your iPad then sign back in. Use the Settings app.
Settings > iTunes and App Store > tap on your Apple ID > sign out
Then sign in to your Apple ID. What happens? -

I backed up my phone on i cloud and now I am trying to set up my new Iphone 5 from the i cloud. I have got all my data and some very important numbers in the last back up.
Now when I try to back up from the i cloud it is saying back up incomplete. PLease guys I need some help in order to restore the data back on to my phone.

Settings>iCloud>Storage & Backup>manage Storage, tap your device name in the Backups section, then look under Backup options. Turn off all apps from backup and then do a manual backup. If that doesn't work, then this post will not help. If the backup works, then go back to the app list and turn some on and try another backup. If successful, keep repeating these steps. If it fails at some point, then try to zero in on the one app that seems to make the backup fail. (I had this problem and found one app failing, probably due to a corrupt data file.)
This process will take time, but if a backup works with no app data being used but clearly fails with the original settings, then somewhere in the mix of apps is a "bad" one. -
New to the Apple 'Newton' Messagepad 2100/2000 Can Some One Help?
So I've just recently discovered the world of the Apple Messagepad. I've been searching for a while now for a pda that best suites my interests and needs. When I came across this old ad for the Messagepad I totally got excited as I love Apple products and seriously loved the look and features that the device boasted. So - now I've put some bids on a couple of 2100 models on ebay and am waiting, I've also found some resellers, I'm definitely going to get a hold of one of these devices. I've done some research on the devices and am concerned mostly with the just how difficult it will be to install software and/or upgrades onto the device from my G5 Powermac. Is there anyone out there with advice and/or suggestions for this Newton Newbie? Any info you can offer me about anything having to do with Messagepads would be surely helpful.

In addition to the links already posted you will really need to look carefully at www.unna.org - specifically the wikiwikinewt which is a goldmine of information. Also after reading that if you have any questions you can post them on www.newtontalk.net.
To get going on the install of software you have to overcome the "bootstrapping" problem (see wikiwikinewt). If you don't have access to someone with a Newt (you can then use iRDA) or can't get hold of a PCMCIA card from another Newt owner, then you will need a serial cable setup + a serial/USB adapter + a dongle for the Newt. The dongle adapts the Newt connector to the old Mac serial cable and the adapter makes it possible to connect to the latest Macs (this is what I use) (Keypsan produce a good adapter).

i upgraded my iphone 3gs to os 5.1 and since then i have not been able to register it in order to use it, anytime i try to activate it a notification that "the activation server is temporarily unavailable".if i connect it to itunes too, the system tells me to insert SIM card meanwhile, i already have inserted a SIM.

Some people have had success only deleting everything in the cookies folder

Flash player no longer fast forwards, it restarts from the begining when I try. Can any one help?

Can I get a leather band for the Apple Watch Sport?
Are the bands on the Apple Watch Sport interchangeable or are you only able to have the rubber strap it comes with?
From what I've read the bands are interchangeable with all watches of the same size. The Sport watch will come with two bands, one of each size. You will be able to purchase additional bands.

A while ago I recall bits and pieces said the e-mail script being posted and discussed here. Might be worthwhile searching for that - using Google of course as it does a better and more flexible job than Jives's very own search function. Simply add the site:forums.oracle.com to your Google search strings to restrict the search to OTN forums. Those postings may shed some light on exactly how the e-mail feature works (or don''t work).

After the recent update of iOS 7.0.6 my phone is having issues with wifi connectivity. It gets disconnected most of the time. I went through support page and done with "Reset Network settings" too but it doesn't help. It is very toublesome while watching videos, sending pics, chatting and so on. Please advise.
It works fine in LTE network. The problem is with WIFI only.

Is the directory watcher multi-threaded once it calls the cfc?
the docs say there's a single thread that watches the directory. But say for example it finds 3 files and calls the cfc. At that point do all 3 files run one at a time on a single thread in the order they came in, or do they run at the same time on multi-threads?
I think I understood your questions. There were more than one, some implicit. Here are my answers:
ColdFusion runs the directory-watcher in a single thread.
During the execution of the same thread, ColdFusion detects whether of not a file has, or any number of files have, been added, deleted or changed.
When ColdFusion calls the CFC, it does so in that same single thread. My guess is that any file add-events, delete-events and change-events are queued and handled one after the other.
