The leave encashment exemption

the leave encashment exemption has not subtracted from the income .
its coming in /4e7 .
but not reflected in /133

/130 is update for the month in which leave enchantments entry is there.
like leave enchantments entry in IT0416b is for the month of april and we have to run the payroll of dec.
when we rum the payroll and chcek the log
/130 having the correct value for april month
but its not reflect in dec rt.

Error in leave encashment

Dear Experts,
For some of the employees leave encashment is paying excess for the month of january 2012, we are using Info type 416 for this
Excess amount is as follows
Rs 28.34
Rs 20.59
Rs 12.11
Rs 9.96
Rs 13.99
Rs 5.65
Please let me know the solution

I never worked on +ve TM but how ever try this config may be it may help you
PA - PD - Leave Compensation - V_T556U (give your com test and link to your absence quota)
Copy Wt from MLE0 to custome wt
VV_52D7_B_0416_AL0
In WT Char give days under Timeunit/measure and leave indirect val tab empty
V_T512Z
Go to payroll india - Time quota comp - VV_T556W_A__AL0
Add in PE51 your WT
Go to table v_512w_b and there choose your WT and under cumulation tab give valuatiion base 01,your wt,% Rate 800(i.e 8 Hrs)
Go to pa30 and select 0416 and try giving no.com days and check
This config is i worked in Negative mgt so just try whether will it be usefull for +ve

Leave Encashment in ESS MSS NWBC

Hi all gurus,
We have implemented Leave request, Travel request, PMS via ESS using standard SAP role SAP_EMPLOYEE_ESS_WDA_3.
Now we got a requirement to do Leave Encashment in ESS MSS through NWBC.
How can I do that.? Is there any standard roles by which I can get Leave Encashment Application in ESS ??

Manager is not able to Approve the leave

Dear Freinds,
Please help me in solving this below issues.
EE has applied for leave thro ESS. Manager have recd a confirmation from Work flow system . But the same is not reflecting in Manager MSS . Therefore he is not able to approve the same . However, Manager is able to approve the leave for others.
I cheked in PO13 and the realationship and dates are perfect. Can anyone tell me what could be the reason.
IS there any T-code to check the Email communication that both had.

Please check the workflow log in the system using transaction SWI1 for the date on which the EE has applied for leave,
check the Agent assigned for approving the leave by clicking on the Agent button - confirm that this is the same manager.
Also this is assuming that in MSS under the UWL other employees leave requests are visible,
so as to eliminate portal side issues.

How to read the comment field of the Leave of absence Workflow.

I have attached a custom Workflow template to the
Standard class "CL_HRASR00_WF_PROCESS_OBJECT" and event "TRIGGERED" for my Personal leave of absence approval.
During the Workflow step, once the approval goes to the final approval step and it is there in the Benifit Administrator's inbox (Portal) for approval, the Benift Admin is having an option of Withdrawing the process(Withdraw Process button). After filling the comments field, once he clicks this withdraw button the standard class "CL_HRASR00_WF_PROCESS_OBJECT" event "WITHDRAWN" gets triggered and it calls a separate workflow.
I need to capture this comment in the new Workflow but not able to do the same.
Can anyone let me know how can I do this. The event container does have any parameter to pass this value to the workflow container. And since the Step_Object GUID also changes I am unable to read it in the second workflow.
Looking for some real help as this has become critical for the project.

Thanks for your reply Trevor, but I guess you misunderstood my question. What I am not looking for is not the absence data. Basically I need to capture the comments put in by the Benifit administrator in the Leave of absence application form (Personal or Maternity/child care ), incase when he goes for withdrawing the Application submitted by the Employee.
To elaborate it functionality step by step...
1. An employee logs on to portal and submits a LOA application with a few mandatory field ( Commencing date,Returning Date, Reason).
This kicks of a Workflow say WF1 attached to
ABAP Class- CL_HRASR00_WF_PROCESS_OBJECT, Event- TRIGGERED.
2. Then after executing a few tasks to retrive data it goes to the Manager for approval. Once the manager appoves it goes to the Benifit Administrator.
3. The Benifit Administrator can approve the application or has an option of withdrawing it.
4. In case the Benifit Administrator goes for Withdrawal, after putting some comments in the form, it triggers the Event-WITHDRAWN of ABAP Class-CL_HRASR00_WF_PROCESS_OBJECT.
5. This event in turn starts a new Workflow WF2.
6. In this Workflow WF2 I need to pull in the comments put in by the Benifit Admin.
How can I pull this comment?

Error in the UWL while approving the leave.

Hi all,
We configured the ESS business package.UWL is configured and the leave requests are coming into the UWLo of approver.But when he is trying to approve it is giving the error .
URL http://hostname of backend system: 8000/webdynpro/dispatcher/sap.com/ess~lea/LeaveRequestApprover call was terminated because the corresponding service is not available.
The termination occurred in system D01 with error code 404 and for the reason Not found.
I checked the package in SWFVISU and its correct>.I reregistered the systems in UWL and administration.
What is the service for Leave request approver?Any suggestions please

This error message comes usually when the uwl service is not running on the server.
Try to restart Uwl using the steps described below:
Restart UWL Service
1.Go to http://server:port/nwa (Netweaver Administration)->System->Start & Stop
2.Click on the Java EE Applications on the left side.
3.Select #com.sap.netweaver.bc.uwl# from the Application List (you can use filter: write UWL in the Name filter and press enter)
4.After you selected #com.sap.netweaver.bc.uwl# component scroll down to Application Details
5.Click on Stop button and select On All Instances
6.Click Refresh button to ensure the application status is STOPPED.
7.Click on Start button and select On All Instances
8.Click Refresh button to ensure the application status is STARTED.
If the UWL status is IMPLICIT_STOPPED after restart then some hard dependencies might
be missing in the portal and the deployment logs are needed for further analyse.

Request for help in the following leave accrual:
Jan-Jun 5 days (CL and SL) and July-Dec 5 days(CL and SL) is the company's policy and any person who is joining in the months other than Jan and July, the leave entitlement should be accrued accordingly. I require to calculate the number of leaves for the persons joing in the months other than Jan and July and work accordingly.

take formdate, add 12 months
add_months(r.formdate, 12)then apply the to_char format mask - basic syntax
to_char(date, 'MM/DD/YYYY')Compare to your syntax:
to_char(add_months(r.formdate, 'MM/DD/YYYY'),12) "formdate2"You will see your format string inside the call to add_months, and your 12 inside the call to to_char.

Employee not able to view the Leave/Absence Types

I have done the settings of Workflow with leave types in table V_T544S_WEB with grouping 40 against the leave type.
Workflow task iD is TS21500004.
The User Grp is set to 40.
But when the empolyee checks system shows no data available .
Can anybody please put some insight.

I hope you are using the standard workflow id and you have assigned the same to the rue group and absence type in table VV_T554S_WEB.
But for the absence to be displayed check the table VV_PTARQ_TCONSTR_LIST and the settings against the rule group.
Also you can check the applied leave and the status in the Create Leave Request application - Overview of Leave tab. There is another application Leave Overview where also you can check the status of the applied leave.

Cusomize the Leave Approve view when approve from UWL

The user is approving the leave from the UWL.
when they click on the work item then in the Pop Up window the java application starts.
Now we want to hide the Duration field from the last confirmation field.
I tried to hide these fields from the Leave Request Approval iView, but it did not help.

Hi Vishal,
I have worked on this requirement before. What you need to do is copy the standard iview of the LeaveRequestApprover application into your customer space. Then hide the buttons in this iview through webdynpro personalisation.
After that you have to download the xml file which gets called for the LeaveRequestApprover application (you can find this by switching on the UWL Support Information) and change the action to 'iviewlauncher' and in the 'property' provide the pcd location of the iview in the customer space.Then re-register the UWL.
Hence when you will click on the Leave Request Workitem from the UWL, this custom iview (already personalised by you) will be launched and not the webdynpro application.
Please see the required details for changing UWL xml code for ivew launcher in SAP Help Library.
