The lightness of my Mac pro Screen changed
I have a Mac pro . Suddenly the lightness of the screen changed I don't mean it's darker but the color ,which is dark green, is more daze very pale. What happened?

My Mac Mini was not sending a signal to the monitor. I powered down using the power button and now it will not start. When i power up I get a strange 2 tone sound, like a warning alarm. The fan starts, and the light comes on, but no screen.
I have tried with a wired USB keyboard and mouse using a single screen. Powered up with option pressed. No change.
Reset SMC no changeRun the Apple hardware test to see what it tells you. Run the extended test when prompted, which can take awhile.

The keyboard and the mouse on my Mac Pro suddenly stopped working, the mouse light is on but not working, the mouse cursor doesn't even appear on the screen, I've tryed with different keyboards in all the usb ports and nothing, none of them worked.It is a easy fix to this problem.

Graphics card: ATI Radeon HD 2600 Pro 256 MB .
This is what you do.
1. open app store.
2.go to the update tab.
Yuo will see the imovie icon waiting to install.
3.clic the sub menu tab and select "try apdate in an hour" option from the sub menu.
4.leave the app store window open and came back in an 1hr .
Like magic you will see the imovie app being upgrade it in the lunch pad .

When you fail to give information on the exact model MBP that you have, how do you expect anyone to provide you with any specific information?
I suggest that you go to the iFixit.com and Powerbookmedic.com and look for parts and prices. That naturally assumes that you know what parts are defective and need to be replaced.

You're allowed to have it installed and activated on two computers at once but you can never copy an installed copy of PSE. You need to install it from scratch on the Mac Pro. If you need the file, you can download it here:

JamesAs long as the report ends up with 'Permissions repair complete' then, as far as permissions go, you are fine. You can ignore the various statements in the report:

Using 'should be -rw-r--r-- , they are lrw-r--r--' as an example, you will see the that the permissions are not changed, but the | indicates a different location. This is because an update to Leopard onwards changed the location of a number of system components.

boot your MacBook Pro into Recovery mode by holding down a Command key and the R key as it starts up. Once the OS X Utilities menu appears, select Disk Utility. On the left-hand side of the Disk Utility window, select your internal disk’s boot partition (typically called “Macintosh HD”). On the right-hand side, press the Verify Disk button if it’s not greyed out; if it is greyed out, or if it reports that errors were found, press the Repair Disk button. Once the verification/repair is completed, exit Disk Utility and select Restart from the Apple menu to restart in normal mode. Is your display still grey? -

The iCal on my Mac Pro (Lion 10.7.3) and the iCal on my iPhone (iOS 5.1) don't sync - why? Not very impressed with iCloud at the moment.
You're looking on the wrong page, Anne. Look at the top of that screen; you should see Summary, Info, Apps, Music, and a few other buttons up there. Click on the "Info" button. Then you'll find the options for synching calendars and contacts.

I can't download movies. I'm taking a cinema class where I am required to watch movies. My professor provides the link on an electronic blackboard for the movies. I can't access the link on my mac pro notebook. Is there an app or software download that can help with this? I can access the link fine on a pc.
The "right click" is a function of the OS and those keyboard commands do not work on the iPad at all with the built in virtual keyboard. I don't use an external keyboard - so I cannot attest to the possibility of that working - but there are no keyboard shortcuts with the iPad keyboard.

My internal hard drive isn't being recognized on my macbook pro but when I put the HD in my Mac Pro (desktop), the desktop computer recognizes the HD. When I insert the installer CD on my laptop, it also doesn't recognize my hard drive. Please help! Thank you!

I have HP LaserJet 200 colorMFP M276nw and trying to install the driver on my mac pro; it gives me the error message that the driver is not available.Typically this is caused by the internal list of compatible devices in the Mac being out of date. All you should need to do is disconnect the printer from the Mac, run Apple Software Update (even if there are no updates, the list will still update), restart the Mac, connect the printer to the Mac, and add the print queue. If that doesn't work, let me know.

i noticed they said that facetime will basically be taking over video calls on the mac and that Messager will take over ichat, but i'm worried they're going to drop all the nice features they had on ichat, like being able to share screens while video chatting with someone. or being able to chat with 2 people at once on a video call.

You can start a Video chat with one Buddy and then chose Screen Share and providing you and the Buddy are using UPnP to open ports it will instantly convert to a Screen Share.
A Screen Share is only 1-1 and is technically an Audio Chat +
The Plus bit is an VNC connection alongside the Audio Chat.
This VNC connection uses a random port - hence the need to use UPnP to open the ports in the router (Or Port Mapping Protocol) in Apple Base Station.
There used to be Add-ons that allowed the Desktop as Video Feed which would have been a sort of Screen Share but none of these have been updated for Lion.
An Example is iUSBCam (ShowMacster was another - My link no longer works)
CamCamX maybe a possibility if it works in Lion (It does say it neess iUSBCam for iChat)
