The links in the sidebar does not show

Hi all,
I have created a menu structure according to the requirements
and it is as followed:
Responsibility Menu
|
Home Page (attached to Responsibility Menu)
|
HTML Tab (attached to Home Page, with prompt)
|
HTML Sub Tab (attached to HTML Tab, with prompt)
|
HTML SideBar(attached to HTML Sub Tab)
|
Function (attached to HTML SideBar, prompt given for function Test Sidebar)
After creating the above menu structure the link in the sidebar is not shown.
(the sidebar is not shown at all)
(the tab with the horizontal navigation is shown and the test side is shown)
(I have also bounced apache, but it does not help)
Does anyone have any ideas of how I can get this working?
(we use 11.5.10)

In the manual it says "log in to your computer user account before connecting iPad". I am the only user of this PC...does this mean some other user account. I am confused. I need "baby steps" to tell me how to do all this....very senior and just learning about this wonderful machine. I will very much appreciate your help.

If you are the only user on your computer you probably don't have multiple user accounts set up and can disregard that. If you are using iTunes 11 go to View>Show Sidebar. Now see if your iPad appears under Devices on the left side when you connect it. If it does, click on the name of your iPad on the left side and your iTunes sync settings options will appear in folders with tabbed headings to the right.

Most likely you have set the wrong file as the external editor. You don't want the obvious one; that's just a link to the welcome screen. Go back and choose this one, which is hidden away inside the folder Support Files:

Do you have the latest version of iTunes for Windows installed? I would turn on the sidebar and the menu bar just to make sure you are seeing everything. If the iPhone is still not recognized in iTunes, follow these troubleshooting steps:

If you have iTunes 11 on your computer then you can enable the left-hand sidebar on it via option-command-S on a Mac, control-S on a PC - when connected (and if your computer's iTunes is up-to-date) your iPad should then appear on that sidebar under a 'Devices' heading :
If you select the iPad on that sidebar you can then use the Movies tab on the right-hand side of the iTunes screen to select and sync that film to your iPad's Videos app.

1. Open iTunes.
2. Click the View option in the iTunes menu.
3. Select the Show Sidebar option.
Connect your phone, select it in the Sidebar...the various tabs will now show as before.

Yes it is done through iTunes. The iPhone will never show up in Finder as a device. Version 11.1.5.5 of iTunes was just released today. If you update to that, does that help with the recognition troubles?

Best practices says plug the USB cable into the computer, then plug the 30 pin connector into the iPhone.
If everything is working correctly, you should be able to plug the iPhone in at any time. Before or after opening iTunes.
Depending on what settings are selected in iTunes, the program may or may not automatically open when you connect the device.

How do I get my photos off my phone and onto iPhoto with iOS5. The phone does not show up in the list of devices.

Now that I have upgraded iPhoto and my iPhone, when I connect my phone to the computer, the phone does not show up in iPhoto and I no longer am asked if I wasnt to import my photos. I haven't upgraded to iCloud yet.

Missing "message" from above: The iPad "DGMTR" is synced with another iTunes library on DGMTR's MacBook Pro. Do you want to erase this iPad and sync with this iTunes library? An iPad can be synched with only one iTunes library at a time. Erasing and syncing replaces the contents of this iTunes library.
