The upper volume button on my iPhone 4s is not working

Okay so I dropped my iphone in the parking lot garages of my apartment complex and the ground was cement, when i picked it up the screen wasn't cracked or anything so i thought it was okay but once i started listening to music and I wanted to lower the volume and so I pushed the low volume button but nothing happen....The high volume button works fine but now the low volume button so if you want to lower the volume on my phone now you have to do it manually....Also after the drop i turned off silent mode on the side and the clicking sound wasn't there and I checked in the settings, it said it was on and the volume was on but I heard no clicking sound!!! How can I solve these two problems? Can I go to an Apple Store and let them fix my iphone if I don't have AppleCare?

Dont buy this model again, this is the most common problem and i have gone through 4 of these 6th gen nanos all with the same problem. You can find youtube videos that show you how to fix it yourself but you run the risk of breaking your ipod, also opening the ipod voids any warrently.

Try closing the Camera app completely and see if it works properly when you re-open the app : from the home screen (i.e. not with the Camera app 'open' on-screen) double-click the home button to bring up the taskbar, then press and hold any of the apps on the taskbar for a couple of seconds or so until they start shaking, then press the '-' in the top left of the Camera app to close it, and touch any part of the screen above the taskbar so as to stop the shaking and close the taskbar.
If that doesn't work also do a reset (unless this is what you mean by powering off and restarting) : press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds (ignore the red slider), after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the iPad equivalent of a reboot.

Sent in my iPod Touch for repair because of lower volume button, and...

...Apple is sending it back to me because "No problems found." I sent in my iPod because the bottom volume button was at first hard to press and now it only works sometiems when I press it. I CLEARLY described that the bottom volume button only works half of the time and I took the time to give them my iPod so I basically just gave them my iPod for no reason? What should I do since the problem is still going to occur when I get my iPod back?

Take it to the Genius Bar while you are still under warranty and they should be able to fix it. I went, one day after my warranty expired. While they confirmed the problem in my iPhone 5, they said it would be $269 to fix. The tech did helpfully show me how there's a much less convenient softkey workaround using General >Accessibility > AssistiveTouch. Not happy about it.

If you only restored from backup, restore to factory defaults/new iPod. If you then still have the problem it is likely a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

Try:
- iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
- Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode
How to put iPod touch / iPhone into DFU mode « Karthik's scribblings
- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
- If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

I have an iPhone5 bought in late Dec 2012.
I've noticed on rare occassions that the volume down button some times would not respond.
Starting yesterday, the volume down button would not respond more consistently.
Sometimes a reset would fix it, sometimes a reset network would fix it, but the problem would come back.
Came across this thread, and pressing gently on the upper right hand corner fixed it!
I remember seeing some video on Youtube or iFixit that shows how to replace the power button. It appears that the volume buttons and the power buttons are tied in together on the same piece of connector. I supposed taking the iphone in and out of cases may have warped or twisted the connector inside the case ever so slightly that the sensor for the down volume button got shifted.
The down volume button works now, after doing the trick you suggested. I'll wait and see if it comes back before taking it in for warranty repair.

Reset preferences. Hold down Option key and start Bridge. You will get a reset window.

Pressing the "low latency" button isn't bypassing FX on Master channel...?

I love the "low latency" button on the transport bar, it's great when you have a channel full of complex effects, and you press the button and Logic chooses to ditch one or two effects (and turns them orange in that channel so you know which ones!) so you can have low-latency feedback while you record.
But the other night I was doing some recording on a channel with a few effects. However, on the Master channel, I had about six or seven effects.
There was a considerably lag when recording and using software monitoring. I thought pressing the "low latency" button would do its usual magic. It didn't!
So my question is... does this feature only drop out effects on the channel that you're using, and not the Master channel (even if the Master effects are going to cause a significant lag?)

Low latency does not work on master... now...
in the previous Logic 8 versions 8.0.1 it was working...
I really don't know if is a Leopard behavior
