The Managed servers are going down  frequently due to leasing renewal.

We have 3 SOA Managed Servers in our Production Environment running each of them on 3 different Machines.
The servers are going down frequently due to leasing renewal issue.
Please see the errors below. SOA_MS3 was the Cluster Leader.

Thanks,

Its been many days support working on this, they do not have any clue. we escalated, not much of clue they have yet.
So, wanted put it across industry experts on SOA.
Any idea on what causes this Leasing renewal issue and the potential resolution?
Thanks

  • Listeners are going down frequently..

    Hi,
I have two node cluster databases.in that cluster 5 databases are running. We have configuared 2 listeners for each database and registered in OCR.But frequently some listeners are going down or UNKNOWN state from first node only. everything is running fine from second node. How to troubleshoot this?
    Thanks in advance

We have configuared 2 listeners for each database and registered in OCR.As I understand, you are running 5 RAC databases on the same cluster (meaning 5 RAC instances per node), with each instance having 2 listeners, resulting in 10 listeners per node?
What on earth for? Why? What problem/issue are you trying to address that way?
But frequently some listeners are going down or UNKNOWN state from first node only. everything is running fine from second node. How to troubleshoot this? RAC is only as robust as
    a) the architecture it is implemented on (server h/w, Interconnect, etc)
    b) how well it adheres to Oracle concepts and fundamentals
5 RAC instances on the same 2 nodes, using 10 listeners per node? That is anything but adhering to Oracle fundamentals. More like total madness IMO.
Cannot recall ever having a listener (stand-alone or on any of our RACs) simply going down and not working as designed. So I doubt strongly that your are dealing with an Oracle issue here. Seems to be a case of an unnecessary self inflicted wound.

  • SOA managed derver is going down frequently

    Hi,
We are facing one specific issue in SOA 11g environment .
SOA managed server is hosted on WebLogic Server Version: 10.3.4.0.
Server is keep on going down even after restart, after each restart it iwll come up for 15-20 minutes max and then again soa managed serve will go down.
Also in nohup logs we observed below warning :
    oracle.adf.share.ADFContext> <BEA-000000>
    +<Automatically initializing a DefaultContext for getCurrent.+
Caller should ensure that a DefaultContext is proper for this use.
Memory leaks and/or unexpected behaviour may occur if the automatic initialization is
    performed improperly.
This message may be avoided by performing initADFContext before using getCurrent().
To see the stack trace for thread that is initializing this, set the logging level of
    oracle.adf.share.ADFContext to FINEST>
Also some error messages like :
    +<BEA-000000> <ServletContainerAdapter manager not initialized correctly.>+
+<BEA-000000> <Could not find saved view state for token lb617ahaj>+
Could some once please let us know what could be reason for this .

    Hi,
These are not an issue but you need couple of tuning on server side.
Make sure to increase your Max permsize to 1024m in case of 64 bit or 512m in case of 32 bit.
Try to increase chunk size and chunkpool size to 8k.
    Enable tunneling on your server.
Make your min and max heap size as equal.
try to changes these settings and still you see the issue let me know.
    Regards,
    Kal

  • Can a gateway server alert me that the management servers are unavailable?

I have an environment spread across four countries. In the main country is my MS cluster and the Operations and OperationsDW Dbs. This works great. Until something happens to the Operations and OperationsDW Dbs which also kills our exchange server in the
    main country.
Can a gateway server tell me that this is happening so I know to resolve?

Email alerts arr handled by the RMS server. The client are acting based on the MP which is downloaded to the local server and the agent will pass on the ginfo to the gateway server and it will in turn send to MS and RMS. If RMS is. It available, the information
or trigger will be queued at the gateway until rms is available

  • Node Manager not shutting down the Managed Servers

I have WebLogic Server 8.1 SP4 installed on around 9 separate boxes - 3 servers form one WLS domain of one admin + two managed servers. The managed servers are started using Node Manager from the admin console.
On one domain start/shutdown using Admin Console works just fine however the other two domains the managed servers startup fine but shutdown fails - or takes over 15 minutes. I see the following error in the Node Manager logs
NMMessage: Command read failed 'Connection reset' on socket/ <ip_address>
Any ideas on what I can do to fix this ? The servers which will not shutdown have EJB's installed on them. Dont think this could be related as shutting down the application results in the same problem as listed above.
    Thanks,
    Kevin.

The name of remote machine configured on admin server it must to be resolved on same machine in /etc/hosts:
    Example:
On the admin server is configured the unix machine N1234
On the machine N1234 in the file nodemanager.hosts it must be present the IP of admin server
On the admin server in /etc/hosts it must be present
    IP_N1234 N1234

  • Interconnect Repository and Adapters going down frequently

    Hi,
We are using 9iAs interconnect as messaging middleware between Oracle applications CRM and Main frames systems.
The 9iAs repository and adapters (DB and http) are going down frequently in Production environment.
Every time we had an issue of servers going down, we used to restart them.
Sometimes they are working fine after the first bounce; otherwise we are bouncing them again.
    The behavior is very intermittent.
We need some suggestions on the following:
Is there any potential risk involved if we bounce the 9iAs interconnect repository and adapters daily?
Will there be any impact in the performance if we enable the log level to verbose for all the adapters? (As of now, the log level is set to log only errors)
Any help in this regard is much appreciated
    Thanks,
    Lahari

    Hi SThiyag,
Based on your error message, it may be related to the “SecureConnectionLevel” in the RSReportServer.config file. Please go to C:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\MSRS11.MSSQLSERVER\Reporting Services\ReportServer, use Notepad to open the RSReportServer.config,
    modify <Add Key="SecureConnectionLevel" Value="0"/>, change the value into "1" or "2".
(Note: Please backup the file before modify it.)
    Acceptable values are:
3 Most secure—Use SSL for absolutely everything.
2 Secure—Use SSL for rendering and methods that pass credentials but don't insist on it for all SOAP calls.
1 Basic Security—Accepts http but rejects any calls that might be involved in the passing of credentials.
0 Least Secure—Don't use SSL at all
Here is a blog for error message "The underlying connection was closed...", please refer to the link below:

  • Admin server is going down, but managed servers are fine.

    HI,
Admin server is going after sometime of starting, but nodemanger and managed servers are running fine, I didn't anything in admin.log everything looks fine.
    WebLogic Server 8.1 SP4
    jrockit81sp4_142_05
Pls let me whats the problem with admin server.

Way too little information to go on. What operating system? Are you looking at stdout and stderr for messages? Do any random files show up in the directory in which you started the adminserver (core files, hotspot error files, etc)? Does it occur if you switch to using Sun's JDK? Have you tried undeploying any applications (other than the console, of course) or startup classes from the admin server?

MS SQL server is going down frequently(10 days of gap) with exception message: "A severe error occurred
on the current command. The results, if any, should be discarded". We are facing this issue for past two month. But funny thing is server will be up automatically with out any service restart manually.  Also if we try to restart the SQL
server service manually then SQL server will be in a dead lock situation and it will not come up even if we wait for long time. Then we should do a windows server machine restart to
make the SQL sever up. As a suggestion from Microsoft to fix this kind of similar issue,
we have installed service pack 3 for SQL Server. But even after we are facing same issue.

Server OS: Windows Server 2008 R2
Two type of database servers are installed on server:

  • It looks like the email servers are down.

It looks like the email servers are down, I am unable to retrieve my mail from either on-line or the local mail app. Is there an Apple Rep that can give us an ETA for the mail service to come back on-line?

Yep, me too.  Just got off the phone with Apple Rep, no ETA as yet.  Guess I am one of the unlucky few.    Thank goodness for gmail.

    Wow!

  • Offline/Local Activation option/tool for when the cloud servers are gone ?

I hope that someone in HP will release a tool to allow to all the phones / tablets to activate locally, to be used once the online services are gone.
Providing a copy of the online Help that's accessible from phone/tablet would also be very appreciated.
You took our money, and I think we are entitled to be able to use the hardware we bought until it works.
I would like to see an official answer, and I think that all the users of webosnations share the same interest.

In relation to my first post,
even if I was contacted privately from an executive support representative, I have still to get an official answer to what I originally asked/wrote.
Given that the 15th of January is closer now ( close to two months were lost, up to now ), I would appreciate the option of having a constructive dialogue with an hp representative that is actually knowing what webos and the online servers are.
That you cannot find someone on the phone at HP support who is knowledgeable about webOS, is not surprising.  HP ceased active support for webOS (other than keeping Cloud Services and support downloads alive) in 2011.
You have options from the webOS developer and user community.  There is a wealth of information and assistance available from http://www.webosnation.com and http://www.webos-internals.org including options to backup your device without the webOS servers after January 15.
No one feels your pain and anxiety any more than we (WyreNut and I) do.  HP made a decision to shut down the servers because the active user base does not justify the cost.  I don't personally understand what those costs are, but I do believe what I have been told about it, and honestly, your energies are better spent using the remaining time to plan going forward without beating a dead horse (webOS Cloud Services).
