The master data table of char. 0LOGSYS is not generated

Hi,
When I checking Infosource 0ORGUNIT i can see that the transfer rules of 0LOGSYS is not available, what can I do? I need It to consolidated the information in my Corporative BW System.

if your std datasource doesn't provide an R/3 field that the system can use when it creates a transfer rules proposal, you can enhnace it by appending in R/3 datasource an additional field that you have to fill with R/3 logical system name and pass this custom field in your transfer rule for 0LOGSYS infobject...
go in rsa6 and for 0ORGUNIT_ATTR enhance his structure...

How can i make indexes on the Master data table

Hi Gurus,
I got a query, in this one i have an Infoobject with many values, like to say invoice number, and i filter and need a lot of Nav Attr of this IO, for this reason the query performance its really bad but i dont know what to do, some friend advice me this : So I would suggest some indexes on the Master data table of your IO for the navigationnal attributer you want to use.
what else can you tell me? if i put this IO in Line item dimension? , or just with flag high cardinality ? help guys.....

Look.........Line item dimension and High Cardinality r related to each other..............Characteristic which has High Cardinality..we will use it as Line item dimension..........But........A dimension marked as a line item cannot subsequently include additional characteristics.......... This is only possible with normal dimensions...........If u r very sure.............then u can go for Line item dimension............no issues........
U can also try to Create index..............

Deleted and adjusted the Master data table, sid table and text table

Deleted and adjusted the master data table, sid table and text table of an zinfoobject after removing and adding attributes to that zinfoobject and was trying to activate it and system was giving me messages that cannot activate infoobject something like this.
So, i deleted and adjusted the master data table, sid table and text table. Since then getting messages right after executing the query because in that query that infoobject is getting used.
So the messages i am getting is:
SID 9 for characteristic Zinfoobject could not be converted CL_RSDM_READ_MASTER_DATA->_SIDVAL_DIRECT_READ2
System error in program SAPLRRK0 and form MEGA_SORT_M_02-02- (see long text)
Please help me in fixing this whole thing.

SAP BW,
After adjusting your Master Data IOBJ and deleting and reloading the data - run a change run to adjust the references to the SIDs and then see if your query runs - run program RSDDS_AGGREGATES_MAINTAIN from se38 and select your IOBJ in the next screen..

How to find the number of entries in a master data table

Hi Experts,
I am trying to find the entries in 0CUSTOMER master data.
BW>LISTCUBE>Data target: 0CUSTOMER and selected the fields that I need.
I would like to know how to find the "number of entrees". I tried to run the SUM for a count field, but it is taking forever as there are huge number of records .

Hi Dev,
Go to the change/display mode of the info object (0CUSTOMER) in your case. Go to the Master data/Text tab. Here you will find the master data tables according to your settings (P orQ or X or Y). Double click on the table name and it will take you to the SE11 display. From there, you can check the number of records as you do in any transparent table.

   I am trying to load the Master Data Table using the Flat File.Now how to check the records in Master Data Table?
I done the following way:
Info Provider->Info Object->Right Click->Display Data or Maintain Master Data
But it's not showing the records.It's asking like CID from......To......
                                                                    CID(SID)from.............To.......
                                                                     here CID means customer id(characteristic).
and showing some settings.

Go to T- code RSD1 and type your info object name and open the P- table in the infoobject then select execute symbol to see the updated data in to master data info object.

Delete data from Q table of the master data

Hi ,
I had incorrect data loaded into the master data table of a particular object.
Upon repairing info object, the incorrect data got deleted from all the tables of the object except from the Q table.
After running repair multiple times also, these records in Q table are not getting deleted.
HOw can i delete these records from the Q table of the object ?

How to find the size of the master data objects in the BW system?

Hi,
We would like to understand the size of the master data tables overall for a specific source system (Logical name is Ex.ABCD, which supplies all master data to BW). Can you please advise the procedure to find out this?
Is there any table that will allows to see all the master data objects related to specific sources system so that we can find out that table size? Thanks.

You can find out all the master data tales used in the BW system by
Tcode : SE11
Enter as /BIC/P* for master data tables and press F4 which gives list of master data tables currently used in BW system.
Similarly for Texts /BIC/T* and press F4
Similarly for Hierarchies /BIC/H-* press F4
and can know the size of the all tables.

Use M table as it it the view on time dependent(P table) and time independent(Q table) tables.
M table is view on time dependent and time independent attributes, you can see characteristic values and all the attributes for the Characteristic.
The tables that go in the view are the Master Data Table and the Time-Dependent Master Data Table. If the characteristic only has time-dependent attributes, only the time-dependent master data table goes in. If the characteristic has only non-time-dependent attributes, only the master data table goes in.

Field not being updated in Master Data table

Hi guys,
I'm pulling data from master data in BW... specifically 0ven_compc. I haven't added any new fields to this maser data table, and one field that I'm trying to pull is not being populated. In the master data table this field is blank, but in the PSA there are values. Somehow the values are not being loaded into the master data table. I've checked the transfer rules and communication structure and everything looks fine. Why is this happening?

Hi Anthony,
The problem may be that there is an inconsistency with the target master data infoobject. Please make a dummy change to the target infoobject (i.e you can change the description), save this change and then click on the activate icon. Please then check if the field is filled with the next load.
If the problem still exists please let us know your BI version and support package level.

Multiprovider not taking info from master data table?

Hi all,
i've a problem with a multiprovider and some navigational attributes of zmaterial.
There are several infocubes in the multiprovider and they all have zmaterial, the problem is that the data from one of these cubes is taking the values of some navigational attribute from the cube itself, not from the master data table of zmaterial even if i changed the assignment from the multiprovider.
Is there any option i must check/look to get this thing work?

It seems the identificaiton are still incorrect.
Just try to put the identification for those characteristics from the navigational attribute option in the multiprovider and not from the infoobject present in the cube.
So for ZMaterial_A it should be identified with ZMaterial_A in the multicube from the respective cubes.

TDTIM: Reduce Master Data Table

Hi Experts,
Would like to know whether TDMS can be used to reduce further Master Data Tables and which are the Master Data Tables can be good candidates to exclude or reduced from transfer? We are currently using TDTIM scenario and archiving is not done actively. Examples: old batch data from MCHA, MCHB, QMEL etc etc..

No TDMS does not have a process to reduce master data. Master data is transferred in full.
