The max. OS X system for Powerbook G4 is 10.5?

just got to know via wikipedia, that for powerbook G4, the max. software could be 10.5;
mine is 12'' powerbook G4 running 10.4.11 at this moment; any possibility to upgrade the system, so I can use iCloud?

iCloud Requirements http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4759
Leopard 10.5 is the max OS for PowerPC processor Macs. To go highre, you need a Mac with an Intel processor.

  • Is Mountain Lion the most current operating system for MacBook Pro?

I am wondering if Mountain Lion is the most current operating system for the MacBook Pro.  I am under the impression that 'Mavericks' is for the desktop Mac, am I correct?  Thank You.

Actually, Mavericks is the current version of OS X replacing Mountain Lion. Mavericks will be replaced later this year by Yosemite. The upgrade to Mavericks is free. You can download the installer from the App Store.

  • Where do I find the "Number of Qualifying Systems for Right To Copy? I qualified for a free upgrade of montain lion.

I was filling the form to get a free upgrade for the mountain lion. I qualified for that because I bought it in the time stipulated. When they asked me about the number of qualifying systems for right to copy I don't know what to write.

That's for organizations with group licenses. If you are applying as an individual, you can ignore that field.

  • Max Hard drive size for Powerbook 1.5

I need to increase the internal hard drive on my '15 Powerbook 1.5Ghz. What is the max size that the Powerbook can handle? I would like to get one that's at least 160g.

The maximum drive size that your PB can handle is far larger than any currently available drive. The largest drive available (or likely to become available) is this 320GB Western Digital drive:
    http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16822136345
It's also available from other vendors, of course; to find other vendors selling it, just Google its Western Digital model number.

  • Set the max bytes per packet for an input stream

    Hi,
    I got this problem:
I want to store some images into a DB. Now if the images are huge, the DB told me, that the packet size is too large
maybe like that : 'Packet for query is too large (1668641 > 1048576)'
I use an ByteArrayInputStream for the transmission to the DB.
So if I am not able to set the max. packet size of the DB is it possible to cut the input stream into pieces to send them to the DB ?
    regards,
    Olek

None of this makes any sense.
The MySQL driver will be using TCP to talk to the database server. TCP is a stream oriented protocol. You can't control the size of the packets (other than the maximum by frigging with OS settings - don't do that). Neither can the server detect the sizes of incoming packets. It just sees a stream of bytes and has no idea where the write() boundries are or how the TCP protocol split that into IP packets - it's just a stream of bytes arriving in the same order they were sent.
And... the max TCP segment size is nowhere near 32Mb, so that doesn't make any sense eeither.
So, I conclude (especially in light of the answer about the config settings) that "packet" is a badly abused term by MySQL that allows it to limit the size of individual requests in order to provide some kind of protection against badly written clients and/or malicious attacks. If you need to send more data than this, just up the limit - especially if this is an intranet application where the client is under your control and attacks are unlikely.

  • What is the Max import file size for Aperture

I'll some times shoot film and get very large scans done as Tiffs or Jpegs. 500MB+ What is the Max that Aperture can manage, or is it only determined by the Mac configuration?

I'm curious to know this as well before upgrading. Hopefully it has been improved in Aperture 3. I know Aperture 2 only supported up to 250MB which was near useless if you'd ever made any significant adjustments and edits in Ps and saved it as a .psd.
All my medium format (digital and film scans) and large format scans give me the maroon "Unsupported Image Format" error while trying to view in Aperture 2.

  • Changing the ABAP Back-End System for the UME

    Hi,
    I went through many forums; sap notes (943498, 764417, 943602, 940893, 810434) and at help.sap.com
    (http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw70/helpdata/en/9e/fdcf3d4f902d10e10000000a114084/frameset.htm)
I am not able to resolve the issue.
Problem: We already have SSO configured between Portal (EP7) and backend R/3 system (ECC 6) which is working fine. Scenario is that we have dual maintenance system going on. Now we want to move our SSO configuration for Portal to point to new R/3 system, which is exactly same except different server name (same SID, system #, using same ports on different servers). Here is the catch service file for both R/3 system have same service name and port number defined.
    R/3 current: sapmsXXX    3601/tcp
    R/3 new sys: sapmsXXX     3601/tcp
Will this be causing hte problem or could be something else.
Thank in advance for your inputs!!

    Hi Patel,
It seems that the portal cannot attach backend system via load balancing.
1- Can you access to port# 3601 on 156.44.162.55 via telnet, from your portal system?
2- Did you checked your firewall settings on both systems?

  • Is Oracle Partitioning req'd in the Source R/3 system for SBIW Setup Table?

We have ECC6.0 as our Source System.  My BI team is trying to load 3 years of SALES history into the BI7.0 system, and then the APO system will pull 1 of those 3 years into it.  To begin this process, they are using SBIW to Manage the Extract Structures and create the Setup Tables.
I got an alert that these Setup Tables were created with Partitions.  We are not licensed for partitioning in our ECC(R/3) system, only in BI and APO.
1.)  Is Partitioning really necessary for these Setup Tables?
2.)  It appears that the Setup jobs create these tables by default as partitioned?  How do I disable or change that?
    Thanks,
    Richard (Basis)

    Hi Neeraj,
    thank you for the reply.
Yes, i have checked tRFCs and logs , everything looks ok, we are getting expected records in BW but job is not ending in the backend system and BW load is always showing YELLOW.
looks like our developer using  custom FM to extract data and i feel that something code issue which is going endless loop. they need to write code to terminate process after last record in the extract process. i will update you once i get root cause of the issue.
    thanks again..
    thanks

  • What is the MAX amount of DATA for JDBC?

    Hello,
Did anybody had any expericence with how jdbc works with large amount of data SAY
    > 1/2 GIG or more?
    Any help apprecieated
    Thanks.
    Paul

Always depends on the driver implementation. Each
    driver/database combination deals with massiveamounts
of data in a single transaction differently. Canyou
be more specific? In general Most Drivers of
commercial grade quality and/or shipped with the
    top
    5
RDBMS have pretty solid implementations limitedsoley
by network bandwidth to carry this info. A good
developer however will not rely on the driver to
manage this much info and will develop a scheme
    to
minimize the impact of such large data transferson
    an
    unsuspecting database or client.
LThis is what I thought. I just need moreinformation
if for example I have a JAVA process which feedsdata
from RDMBS and the amount of data the processreceives
SAY 2GIG My guess this all get in "ResultSet"object
and thus all feeds in VM( memory) so I have to
designing my process SUCH that it takes only asmall
sample of data and iterate this until I get all the
    information from my query. Ex.
select * from test where data between 1 and 2000000;I
have to brake this down by "DAYS"
so my code will be something like
    for (int i=0 ;i<2000000 ;i++) {
    String select=null;
    select="select * from test where data="+i+;
    do( something else)
Am I close far? Is there another way that may beJDBC
    driver handless this behind scenes?
Well personally I think you should be structuring your
SQL better than that. Making 2000000 calls over a
network in a for loop is suicidal..and lets not forget
how something like that will block your application.
First you can do something like "select * from test
where data <= 2000000" in one shot. Now you get the
whole set and you can scroll through and do your
operation ( of course this is slow too, but its much
better than running the query 2000000 times ).
the other thing you have to consider is : is it
necessary to really block during an operation like
this? Can it be done in another thread? a daemon
process even? Some service which can be polled for
    results when needed?
This is a tricky example and I'd be interested to know
more about what you are trying to do.
When you were talking about large data I was under the
impression of something like a blob, clob, or any sort
of single query with 2gb of data in the result.
Can you break up your query? Doing things in batch in
an alternative thread can yield to other processes
    perhaps?
Loh, and also: Can the Database itself take care of this business? Stored Procedures and Internal Functions are all built to handle massive amounts of data with minimal impact. Can you leverage the technology within the Database to accomplish your goal? Sometimes a well written procedure can save you tons of work in your business logic tier.
The right tools for the right job..

Well I checked at PC Progress and I found a Thermaltake Volocano 10+ and a Thermaltake Volcano 12+ for reasonable prices.
Are these good CPU/Heatsinks and if they are...
Would it be better for me to go with the 12+ instead of the 10+ because it's a higher number? What is the difference between those two models?
