The media buttons no longer work in Mavericks

I have a MacBook Pro 13", late 2011 and i'm using clementine i don't know if it always happens..
If someone can do something helpful i would apreciate it!

My original thought was maybe it was a VLC thing but when I saw someone had the problem with another player I went and tried a few different one. Whatever bug I was seeing cleared up though just by trying out different players
- With only VLC open pressing play opened iTunes
- With no media players open pressing play opened iTunes
- then again with only VLC open pressing play opened iTunes
- then with only Quicktime Player open pressing play controlled Quicktime
- then with only spotify open play controller Spotify
- then going back and trying just VLC open it controlled VLC.
I will see if I see it comes back.

Start Firefox in <u>[[Safe Mode]]</u> to check if one of the extensions or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox (Tools) > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).
*Don't make any changes on the Safe mode start window.

If it does work in Safe-mode then disable all extensions and then try to find which is causing it by enabling one at a time until the problem reappears.

Another possible cause is a problem with the file places.sqlite that stores the bookmarks and the history.

The share button no longer works in pages so I can email documents to others

When I first got my Mac and started using it, I discovered the share button at the top of pages, where I could email the document to others without having to export it and then attach it to an email. After installing Mountain Lion, I found that this function would no longer work. I took it to the apple store and they said we should reinstall the OS system. So after backing everything up and spending almost two hours in the store, then another 30 minutes reinstalling backups, I find it it is still not working. I click the share button, choose email, PDF, the button high lights, then there is a popping sound, then the high light disappears and nothing happens.

Since updating to Mavericks OS, I cannot stream my iTunes content to my PS3 using PS3 Media Server. It all worked fine until I did the update. How can I sort this out?

My lock button no longer works on my ipod touch and now i have all kinds of problems with it freezing and kicking me out of apps. Is there any way to get this fixed and were would i go to get it fixed?

I have an ipod touch 4th gen. and since the last update the lock button no longer works, this has caused it to have a lot of problems now like freezing all the time, kicking me out of almost all my apps, some times even when if locks on its own its not locked and buttons with be pushed in my pocket, and this causes the battiery to die fast. I really love my ipod and would like to just get it fix if possible for a reasonable about of money. Anyone know of a place I can get it fixed in Ft Lauderdale Fl area or is there something I can do?

Media buttons do not work in Satellite P300-21E using Win 7

after shutting down my laptop, one week ago, the media buttons suddenly stopped working.
The weird thing is that they are flashing all the time, even when the laptop is off.
I downloaded the VAP from toshiba website (although the version was a 2009 one, if there is a new one for my laptop please let me know. Maybe I can use a VAP of a similar model.
My system is Windows 7
the other weird thing is that I disabled the illumination option from the F2 setup but the media buttons are still on.
I also tried to take the battery off, etc but nothing
any ideas?

The VAP is an Toshiba software and as far as I know you can use the other version of VAP which was released for other notebook series.
For example you could use the VAP released for Satellite P500, P750 series or higher.
But Im wondering why the buttons led is still ON even if the Illumination is disabled in BIOS.

This was also my idea disconnect AC adaptor, remove battery, press and hold power button 30sec long.
Then connect the AC adaptor and check the Multimedia button functionality.

On my Macbook Pro you have to hold the power button down a moment till a little window pops up and asks what you would like to do. Also you can go to:
(  ) Menu > Shut down ...
to shutdown your Mac. Or are you saying that these options do not work?

Back button no longer works in some specific situations; also, it appears that clearing cache isn't working.

The "back" button no longer works in certain specific situations on certain specific websites -- especially on the very website on which I need to use it very frequently. This has been going on for a couple of weeks.
Also, I noticed today that the "clear cache now" command doesn't seem to be working. Formerly, when I cleared the cache, I had to re-login to those websites that normally "remember" my login (because clearing the cache erased that "memory") -- but today, after using the "clear cache now" command, those websites still "remember" my login, which leads me to believe the cache didn't get cleared. Is there any other way to check whether it got cleared?
I was attempting to clear the cache in the faint hope that this might help the above "back" button problem, as no one has yet given me a solution for this that has worked. One person suggested having Firefox re-create the possibly damaged "places.sqlite" and "places.sqlite-journal" files. I tried this, but there was no change to the problem.
I think this problem started around the time I had a few Firefox crashes while using YouTube and doing something else on the computer at the same time.
I just today learned about the "crash signature" -- how to look it up, and to include it in a forum question. However, the crash log did not show these recent crashes, only some others from a few months ago. So, I'm unable to show the crash signature for this.
I'm guessing there's a chance that upgrading to a newer version of Firefox might fix this problem -- but I hesitate to do that, because it occurs to me that it also may be possible that changing the program before fixing this might make it harder to fix. I don't have enough knowledge of this software to know which is more likely, and I don't like to try things at random, in ignorance of the possible results. Also, after reading today several other forum comments from people who are unhappy with their Firefox upgrades, I hesitate to upgrade for that reason, also.

Since bundle 2921 some of my buttons no longer work

I updated phone to version 6 bundle 2921 over the weekend and now the following buttons no longer work, 'S,G,H,L,W' and my scroll button no longer works either. These speed dials no longer work (speed dials to other letters are fine.)
I have not dropped it, got it wet or let the battery run out. I figure it is a software issue as I didn't have any of these issues before the update. Also, when I do a battery pull, the buttons work for a short time (1 minute) and then no longer work.
Is there an update to the update or can I roll back to my previous version?

The simplest way is to, on a PC (you cannot do this on MAC):
1) Uninstall, from your PC, any BB OS packages
2) Make sure you have the BB Desktop Software already installed

3) Download and install, to your PC, the BB OS package you desire:
http://us.blackberry.com/support/downloads/download_sites.jsp
4) If that OS package is from a carrier other than the carrier for which your BB was originally manufactured, then delete, on your PC, all copies of VENDOR.XML (there will be at least one, perhaps 2)
5) Launch the Desktop Software and connect your BB...the software should offer you the OS package you installed to your PC. If, during the process, your BB presents a "507" error, simply unplug the USB cord from the BB and re-insert it...don't do anything else...this should allow the install to continue.
Don't forget to backup.
If you are on MAC, you are limited to only your carriers sanctioned OS packages...but can still use any levels that they currently sanction. See this procedure:

I have a suggestion though. Swipe up from the bottom of the screen, assuming that you have multitouch gestures enabled to get to the task bar/recents tray. Tap and hold down on any app icon until they all start to wiggle. Then tap the red minus sign in the corner of each icon in order to close them. Close every app in the recents tray. Tap the screen above the recents tray.
Then restart the iPad and see if the home button will work.
Restart the iPad by holding down on the sleep button until the red slider appears and then slide to shut off. To power up hold the sleep button until the Apple logo appears and let go of the button.

Spamming has made app reviews pointless and report button no longer works

The app reviews have become useless to me because of all of the spamming. And to make matters worse, the report button no longer works so the spamming posts can't be reported. Who do we contact to report spam?

My guess is that you have a scope problem. By putting the button inside a movieclip you have made the buttons scope the same as that clip.
So if you add a trace inside the release event handler, what do you get?

I'm guessing it is "_level0.mc_anim_backdrops_menu," right?
So since you are using the global function of gotoAndPlay() it is looking for that label in the current timeline and not finding it.
You should probably use the MovieClip method and specifiy which timeline it should look in.
_root.gotoAndPlay("Why");
_level0.gotoAndPlay("Why")
_parent.gotoAndPlay("Why");
both would probably work. I would never use the first two, other than to make sure that there wasn't something else going on...

Went around the long way and reinstalled Mavericks since the Mac was acting a little flakey occasionally of late, and now the printer as once again been installed and works ok by wire. Have not yet had time to try to connect wirelessy yet, so...

Music buttons on the lock screen no longer work with ios7.

on my 4S, when ios 7 was loaded, bluetooth music play buttons and the music buttons on the lock screen no longer work. Hence, I can neither use the music buttons at the lock screen nor can I use the control on my car (bluetooth...) to change songs. Volume adjust at the lock screen appears to work. Can't pause/play or move to the next/prior music.

I did the RESET DEVICE only to mine (i.e., did not reset all settings...) and it did work to fix the buttons (haven't tested on the car, but it'll likely be OK now...). Certainly there is a bug somewhere that needs fixed...
