The microphone of my iPhone 4S doesn't work. However, when I use it with FaceTime or Skype it does. What can I do?
I just got my iPhone 4S and when I call someone the other part can not listen me. I've tried using the speakers, FaceTime and Skype and then the microphone works properly. The problem is when I've to use the cellphone. I've reinstalled the system twice and the problem persists. I need help please!!!!!
Sounds like your iPhone is locked to your home carrier.
See if they offer unlocking and if you qualify. Otherwise,
there is nothing you can do besides rent/but a cheap
phone for your month in Argentina.

I'm very disappointed with Apple products! I was 15 days without my Iphone 5, because it stopped working and the had to be replaced by authorized apple. Then i bought an iphone 5s in two days it stopped working. Doesn't read the sim card. I call to Apple suport and discovery that the model A1533 is not warranted in Brazil and need to be replaced, because there is a hardware problem. In a moment i don't have anyone Phone. Why Apple does not send other equipment equal to authorized to exchange my Iphone, because in Brasil doesn't have the same model? I liked a lot this Apple phone, but i can't use, i have one brand new, but doen'st work. I don't have anybody in USA to exchange in one Apple store. Please help me!

The sound on my phone has stopped working. Went to play music and didn't work. Adjusted all side buttons, still doesn't work. Won't let me turn up volume. Silent button is off.
Did you check the long verticle silver button on the left side of the phone? It is above the + & - Keys. If it is pushed down, you will have no volume. THis is a key to quickly shut off the volume if you forgot to trun it down during a meeting, funeral, etc. If that is okay, go into settings and see if volume is turned on. "vibrate" is no longer an option by itsself.

Try a reset by pressing the home and sleep buttons until you see the Apple logo, ignoring the slider. Takes about 5-15 secs of button holding and you won't lose any data or settings.

I've had the iPhone 5 for about 3 or 4 months and today I noticed that no sound comes out of the left side of the speaker when I'm listening to music or watching something on Netflix
Is it a problem with the actual phone or is it some sort of glitch?If you are referring to the "speakers" along the bottom, there is only one speaker and one microphone.

I have this problem with my iPhone 4S,the sound stopped working on the speakers or even if I put the earphones in e.g. i made a video and i wanted to listen to it so i press play and i saw it won't work,i pressed the bottons on the side and it came up with the speaker sing but without the little squares,so i put my earphones in and it did work,but not for long cause when the sound stopped so did the video.Suprisinglly Siri worked perfectlly for some reason.
Lots of people advice me to go to an apple store to let them check it out for me,but all the apple stores are very far away from me.Is there anyway i can make it work again whitout me going to the apple store?

There may be some lost data from apps such as game status, but would you prefer to maintain that data or have a functional device?
If the issue turns out to be hardware, it is possible to later restore from backup to get put the device back to the same functional state once the hardware is replaced.
