The missing "Notification Center" in ios8 settings

I can't seem to find the settings for my "Notification Center", the issue is that, the "Today" tab isn't showing in the notification center on the lock screen but the home screen has it. I searched many places and saw people going to  [Setting>Notification Center] but i only see [Setting>Notification].
ps. i've got IPhone 5s 32gb iOS 8.x.x

  • How do I get all day events to show back up in my notification center after iOS8 update?

    I have a iPhone 5, with iOS 8, 16GB
OK, none of my calender events are showing up in my notification center, and I have all type's of events on my calender, I have tried going in to my settings < then notifications < then calender < now, on this screen it shows that I am allowing notifications, so I went to upcoming events < and everything on this screen is on, I don't know what to do. How do I fix this? Can someone please help me?

Unfortunately, iOS 7 and iOS 8 do not show All-day-events in the Notification Centre.
Try to do a search within the forums or just google it and you will see that this is how ios7 and 8 have been designed from the start, and a major issue in my opinion.

  • In iOS 7, how do you clear the "Missed" section of the Notification Center?

The "Missed" seciton doesn't have the Clear button like the "Recent" seciton does, and I can't seem to get rid of the missed calls in that list. I even went as far as to erase all my missed and recent phone calls in the Phone list, but the notification center won't clear out.

I've been trying to grok the new notification center on ios7 with Apple so notoriously light with the documentation so here goes:
    - missed notifications (the rightmost tab in ios7 notification center) collates all of your notifications that you got when the phone was locked (the ones you get on the lock screen only) so that you dont have to worry about unlocking the phone and losing those.
    - they sorted in reverse chronological order from newest to oldest
    - 'missed' only covers the last 24 hours so the oldest notification you will see is 24 hours old. this is seemingly by design and i guess its logical to assume people will check their phone once every 24 hours.

  • ¿How can I see more than a day in the calendar view of the notification center?

Hi guys! I wanna know if there's any option to see more than a day in the calendar view of the notication center. I swear I saw a friend of mine who could see more than a day in the notification center.
    Than

In Settings > Notification Center, try turning "on" all the six buttons under "Today View".  Also turn "on" the top two buttons under "Access on Lock Screen".  Doing that should show you "Tomorrow" at the bottom of Noticiation Center.

  • Notification center keeps popping up in the middle of a game.

The new Notification Center is great, but now every time I'm playing a game, every time I need to tap and drag on the top of the screen to play the game, the Notification Center keeps popping up, and it's basically ruining the game for me.  Specifically, the course of playing this one specific game requires dragging items across the screen.  It basically makes it so that every time I need to drag and move anything from the top part of the screen, it becomes extremely aggravating.  It would be great if you could disable that pull-down bar, even if it's just while playing games or other certain apps.  Anyone else having issues like this?

Press and hold the 'keyboard' key at the bottom right of the keyboard and after a second or so you should get a popup - slide your finger up to 'Dock' on that popup and remove your finger from the screen and the keyboard should move back to the bottom of the screen.
You can also turn off the ability to undock and split the keyboard into two halves via Settings > General > Keyboard > Split Keyboard 'off'

  • In Mountain Lion, where can I change the kinds of Facebook notifications I want to receive in the notification center?

Can I get the actual notifications in the notification center or just the messages?

No email or text. By the new notification center (10.8.2). But it seems it can only get the messages.

  • How to get rid of the notifications center from the menu?

I unchecked all the "in notifications center" boxes so there is nothing in there. But the notifications center icon is still up there on the menu, over on the right side.
Is there a way to just get rid of it completely?
    Thanks,
    doug

From the OS X Finder, hit Command+Shift+G and enter the path to /System/Library/CoreServices/
Locate “Notification Center.app” and click on the name to rename it to “Notification Center-disabled.app”, authenticate the change when prompted
Now launch Terminal, found in /Applications/Utilities/ and type the following command:
    killall NotificationCenterQuit out of Terminal
Notifications will no longer be posted, alerts will be gone, and the menu bar icon is no longer visible. If you do attempt to get to Notification Center either through a keyboard shortcut or the sideways swipe, you’ll be presented with a blank side of the screen.

  • Notification Center on the Lock Screen as in the Home Screen?(iOS5)

Do you see the same Notification Center on the Lock Screen as in the Home Screen?
Anyone? Are you able to see the same stuff in both parts? Like weather, is it in the LockScreen on any iPhone out there?
    Thanks for answering !

No. Not working for me either.
Many people have the same problem.

  • Is there a way to prevent hidden calendars from appearing in Notification Center?

I have 4 calendars syncing with my iPhone -- now running iOS5.
One of those calendars is my Google Calendar, which includes birthdays of all my contacts.
However, the iOS also offers a special "Birthdays" calendar that pulls birthdays from the Contacts app.  I have that calendar hidden because it is duplicative of my Google Calendar.
Yet, despite the fact that it is hidden from showing in the Calendar app, those entries appear in the new Notifications Center.  As a result, birthdays appear twice.
While this is far, far from a big deal and certainly something I can live with, it would be nice if hidden calendars didn't appear in Notification Center.  Is there a setting somewhere that I'm missing?

Well, since you have multiple calendars synced to one account, this may not work.  I was syncing one Yahoo calendar and that's the one that was giving me the duplicate entries on the notification screen.  On my iphone I went to Settings -- Mail, Contacts, Calendars -- chose my Yahoo account (which was already inactive) and turned off Reminders (which curiously has an icon next to it that looks like the iOS5 reminders app). I've noticed that not all of my email/calendar accounts have this option, though.  Very strange.

  • Notification center interferes with full-screen apps (incl. games)

The new notification center interferes with games.
When you are making control movements on the screen, a little grey tab keeps appearing at the top middle of the screen.
Just from using it, it seems the notification center has a full-screen mode and a normal mode. For apps which are running in full-screen (includes games, but also built in apps such as YouTube and Photos when they are in full-screen mode), the gesture which normally brings down the full notification center just brings down a little gray tab at the top middle of the screen. You can then slide that tab down, if you really want the notification center.
But in games, the tab keeps appearing when you don't want it, and it has nothing to do with the gameplay. Even in Photos and YouTube, I would be quite happy if the tab did not appear at all in full-screen mode (a single click on these apps takes them out of full-screen mode, then you can drag down the notification center anyway).
It would be very appreciated if an iOS update could add a notification center Settings option to disable the notification center tab drag-down, in full-screen mode.
I can understand that Apple are very unlikely to add an option to disable all notifications in full-screen mode; fair enough. And if a new notification does appear during a full-screen app, then of course dragging that down should still bring in the full notification center. What I don't want is the little grey tab appearing - when I'm just operating with an app in full screen mode, and no new notifications have arrived.
    Mike

I agree with both posts and have the exact same issues with iOs 5.  I also feel that I've been juked by Apple into upgrading to iOs 5.  I had absolutely no desire to slow down my games and add a feature that would interfere with said games, which is all I've gotten with the notification center.  No disable option?  Seriously, that is just one of the most absurd things I can imagine.
And I hate to burst Apple's bubble, but your CPUs and iOs do NOT multi-task unless it's the 4s (which has two cores).  If you (Apple) have the notification center running in the background at the same time that I'm playing my game or typing, the iphone 4 and all versions before it are going to lag or skip while processing the notification center while it ignores the current thread (ie games, interface, etc)!  This is the reason the old system was implemented the way it was.  I know this for a fact (for example, any games would pause immediately when you recieved a text message, because the iphone is only capable of processing 1 thread).
Honestly, I think apple intentionally added this feature in this way to try to force users to migrate to the 4s because it's a dual core phone, and it won't experience as much lag when running two tasks.
Just add a disable option, some people NEED the performance we had in iOs 4!

  • Notification center look and feel

The new notification center look and feel seems quite unlike the rest of the iPhone.
Most of the iPhone has a light colored, rounded, kind of comfortable look. But the new notification center has a much more dark, angular look. (To me, it looks more like an Android app than an iOS component.)
Any chance it can be rebranded? Or failing that, any chance of a settings option to customise the background image, so I can at least change from the dark "linen" texture to a wallpaper of my choice? (e.g. it might look much nicer (to me!) if I could change it to use the default iPhone water drops background). The slide down button itself (the bit of the notification center graphics which appears on screen, even in full-screen mode, if you make the 'wrong' move) could be much more rounded, as well.
    Mike

iOs 5 in general looks and feels awkward to me.  It feels cheap and not at all as polished as Apple's products have been in the past.  The alarms have new colors for no apparent reason, the text messages have colors for no apparent reason, the notification center has a distracting texture, again, for no reason... Yet none of these colors or textures are configurable or removable.  What was the point exactly?
This theme shift is quite discouraging in the grand scheme of things.  It doesn't bother me much, but I definitely prefered the way my phone looked when I bought it.

  • How to setup Facebook notifications on OS X Mountain Lion notification center?

    Hi!
Well, I'm having a bit of a problem here on my OS.
I had a Facebook account and I used to receive notifications in the OS Notification Center about comments, likes, messages, etc., as if I was at my iPhone or iPad.
In the meanwhile I deleted that account on Facebook and lost all my information (permanently) because I 'arrived' late at the recovery date and the OS was linked with that account.
Then I have created a new account and linked the new on the OS. The post function at the Notification Center is working well. No problem about it.
As for the notifications, they just don't appear. Nothing. I recieve them on my phone, on the page... But not on the OS Notification Center!
I have already been at the System Preferences, Mail/Contacts/Calendar, deleted the Facebook login information, configured once again. It doesn't work.
Do I have to do anything about the privacy or settings on the Facebook website?
I hope you can help me solve this little problem.
    Thanks!

    Hello dįôñtę,
Thanks for using Apple Support Communities.
For more information on this, take a look at:
    iOS: Understanding Notifications
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT3576
    Troubleshooting notifications
Push notifications require an active Wi-Fi or cellular connection. If you are not receiving notifications for a specific app, try these steps:
Verify that the app supports notifications.
After installing an app or restoring a backup to a different iOS device, open the app at least once to begin receiving notifications.
If the app requires entering or logging in to an account, you will need to do this before receiving notifications.
Check Settings > Notifications to ensure that the app is configured for notifications.
If notifications do not appear only in the Notification Center, verify that the Notification Center setting for the app is enabled.
If you are still unable to receive notifications and you are using a Wi-Fi connection, verify that the network or firewall is not blocking access to port 5223.
    Best of luck,
    Mario

  • Sound Effects Not working Correctly in Mail 6.0 or Notification Center...

I recently installed Mountain Lion on my MacBook Pro (2012 Retina Screen, 2.7 GHz Core i7, 16 GB RAM) and all the sound effects are no longer working in the new version of Mail 6.0. There are also Sound Effect problems with the Notification Center.
I double checked and all my settings appear to be correct in Mail and in the Sounds & Notification Center Pref Panes.  I also did a PRAM reset to see if that would fix it, and that made no difference either.  In Mail, only some sounds are working. I still get the swoosh sound when mail is sent but not any of the other sounds like when email is deleted or received.  Also, my speakers are working fine for audio etc.
I called Apple Care and the technician had me on the phone for a while and researched this, but said he could find nothing that was known or had been reported on this issue. As an FYI, to the best of my knowledge I'm not running any incompatible apps.  Every app I am running is listed as being compatible with ML.
Has anyone else had this issue with the Mail and Notification Center Sound Effects?  I would appreciate any solutions or suggestions.
    Thanks...
    Patrick

    Patrick,
I have experienced the same symptoms.
Opening Audio MIDI Setup, and changing the Built-in Output>Format to another choice (2ch-20bit Integer) and then back to the prvious setting (2ch-24bit Integer) briefly fixes the lack of Mail sounds, but unfortunately the problem eventually returns after computer sleep.
I have tried a Safe Boot, and removed the Audio MIDI plist without success.

  • Yosemite Notification Center prefs are not being saved

When I choose System Prefs/Notifications and move a program from the In Notification Center section to the Not In Notification Center section by unchecking that particular programs options, upon the next use of the program it returns to the In Notification Center list.
I've repaired Permissions, but it didn't help.
    Is there something I'm missing?

Here are the instructions I got from AppleCare from an Apple Engineer. I'm not sure if the fix was specifically for my machine or if it'll work for someone else. Follow at your own risk.
    1. Open the Library folder in your Home folder.
    2. In the Library folder, open the Application Support folder.
    3. Locate the folder named NotificationCenter. Drag this folder to the desktop.
    4. Next, open the Terminal application.
Copy and paste each line of these commands into the Terminal window, in order. Press return after each line:
    cd `getconf DARWIN_USER_DIR`
    rm -rf com.apple.notificationcenter
    killall usernoted; killall NotificationCenter
    5. Close the Terminal app.
    6. Restart your computer.
The notification preference changes won't stick until you restart a 2nd time after this.
