"The movie could not be opened; this is not a movie file"

When transferring a video from my iPhone to my computer, it worked fine; however, when I actually tried to view the video on my computer it gave me the message in the title. It is marked in finder as a ".mov" quicktime file, and I am able to view the video on my phone. I see no reason for it not to function on my computer. Suggestions, or even a reason, would be greatly appreciated. Again, the video is fully viewable on the phone itself.

Did you try both QT 10 & v7.x?

  • There is not enough memory available on the Essbase Administration Server to open this outline

When I am trying to open outline it is showing the below error-
"There is not enough memory available on the Essbase Administration Server to open this outline"
Please advise what can be the reason and how can we solve them?
I checked the earlier post https://forums.oracle.com/message/4434719 and JVMOption is set with the current maximum size of the JVM e.g. -Xmx512m. Still we are receiving the error. Could you please help?

    Thanks John for the reply.
    Couple of things
    1) We use Block Storage Outline. Does it matter while compacting the outline using ESSCMDQ?
    2)  At the moment the JVM is set to -Xmx512m. Should we increase from 512 to 1024 or what is recommended.
We are doing ESSBASE 7.1.3  to 11.x (11.1.2.2) migration (AS IT IS migration) and we are facing this problem. Quite strange that we didn't get any memory error version 7.x whereas we are getting error in 11.x  My understanding is that the current ESSBASE server has 6 GB RAM and in all ways it has higher capacity than server 7.x. But not sure why we are getting this strange error.
Is it possible to check the JVM size in ESSBASE 7.1.3 (or where we need to check the memory size).
    Thanks in advance.

  • Trying to open a sharepoint library in Windows Explorer via IE 8 results in the error "your client does not support opening this list with windows explorer"

I am attempting to connect to a Microsoft Sharepoint library, via the "Actions -> Open in Windows Explorer" option from the Sharepoint page.  When I do so, I get the error message "your client does not support opening this list with windows explorer".  In short, I am trying to get the "drag and drop" functionality of a Sharepoint library.
I am running Windows 7 64-bit and IE8.  The target Sharepoint environment is a MOSS 2007 EE.  My Windows "WebClient" service is running, and I have no problem connecting to this exact library via a Windows XP computer running IE8.

Verify that the Webclient is started automatically from the Services.msc
Verify that your Portal is in the Intranet local security zone (You can reach it from Your Internet Explorer Browser Security Tag) if not add it to the list
restart the WebClient service if it's work good
If not you have to create a network share to your portal URL directly not your documents library.
Open Windows Explorer or My Computer from the Windows Start Menu.
From the Tools menu, click Map Network Drive…. A new Map Network Drive window opens.
In the Map Network Drive window, choose an available drive letter from the dropdown list located next to the "Drive:" option. Any drives already mapped will have a shared folder name displayed inside the dropdown list, next to the drive letter.
Type the name of the folder to map wich is in this case your SharePoint Portal URL (Don't include the documents libraries)
Click the "Reconnect at login" checkbox if this network drive should be mapped permanently. Otherwise, this drive will un-map when the user logs out of this computer.
If the remote computer that contains the shared folder requires a different username and password to log in, click the "different user name" hyperlink to enter this information.
    Click Finish.

The other day i deleted my email accounts off of my ipod and only reloaded a few of them. today i looked at my notes to look at a project i had typed on my notes because i didnt have paper and pen around to write it and i didnt want to froget. I reloaded the rest of my emails in hope that everything would reappear but sadly only some of them from 2010 loaded. Recently i had update some of the files and they were like they were when i first created them there were alos ones that i had deleted long ago. There are other notes i had made that were really important to me to andi wouldn't be able to remember every single one. Help Please!

When I'm using Safari, ocasionally the menu bar just disappears. I'm running the latest version of Lion and the latest version of Safari. This is not a full screen app problem. I have multiple windows open. This happens all the time! Firefox is fine! What the ****? Please help!

Right, like I'm trying to say, THERE IS NO SAFARI MENU bar. Example: I have multiple applications open, I click on a Photoshop window, the correct menu or title bar or whatever changes. Every other application window I click on brings up the correct "whatever" bar. If I click on the desktop, the "Finder Bar" shows up.
Everythiing else, BUT SAFARI, works the same way since OS X came out.  This is ridiculous.
I'm getting the vibe that Apple is trying to get rid of the finder.... this is the way wrong direction.

  • Your client does not support opening this list with windows explorer - related to multiple uploads?

    Hi folks -
I've read through some threads regarding "Your client does not support opening this list with windows explorer" and it seems a lot of folks have a lot of solutions throughout the forum posts.  Is there anything official or semi-official regarding
    this?
I've tried a lot of the fixes including:
checking to see if the WebClient service is on
modifying so-and-so registry (I've since changed them back since they seem to have no effect)
and changing various settings in Internet Options including making sure the site is in the Local intranet zone.
I could live without this functionality but just recently my upload-multiple-files functionality in SharePoint 2010 has also gone away (red x instead of directory UI).  I wonder if it's related somehow and could give us a clue.
If it helps I'm using various browsers but of the IE flavor 8 and 9 32-bit as the base for testing this.

For SharePoint 2013 (so could apply to 2010 as well), my problem was that I was trying to "Open with Explorer"
something that probably can't be opened with Explorer. In my case, I just wanted to open my team's Shared Documents with Explorer. I found that when I first log into SharePoint and view the page, I'm presented with those Shared Documents, but also other things
    as well.
To get "Open with Explorer" to work, I must click "Shared Documents" under the Libraries heading on
the left. Then, all the other stuff (Links, Getting Started, etc.) go away and I'm focused on my team's shared documents. From there, I can go up to the Library Tools section in the ribbon, choose the Library tab in the ribbon, and click Open with Explorer.
    Works like a champ on Windows 7 64-bit, running IE 9 32-bit.
Unfortunately that's not what was going on in my case.  One obvious way to check is to see if other people or other computers can Open with Explorer.  In my case it was just this one machine on my desk that had the issue.

  • Explorer View - Your client does not support opening this list with Windows Explorer MOSS 2007 '

We recently had a major deployement, after which Explorer View started giving error message.
Before deployement, all was working fine.
Error: Your client does not support opening this list with Windows Explorer
    Webclient service is already enabled.
The site has been added to trusted site lists.
All Active-x controls have been enabled.
    Browser: Internet Explorer 8 - 32 bit.
Microsoft Office 32 bit is also installed.
    Thanx in advance.

You could try updating the following registry key on a client PC as a test: HKLM\System\CurrentControlSet\Services\WebClient\Paramenters\AuthForwardServerList to include the URL of your sharpoint site. Add the root site and it might enable this functionality.

i cant open many website with firefox, there say filter not let open this site, but when i open they with internet explorer not have any problem.

Could you post an example of the filter message?
This article has more information on the filters built in to Firefox: [http://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/phishing-protection/ Firefox Phishing and Malware Protection].
It's possible that you also have a Firefox add-on, or external software, that is filtering what you see. However, we don't have enough information to help identify it yet. If you want to review a list of your add-ons, you can find them under: Help > Troubleshooting Information.

  • IE11/Win 8.1 error 'Your client does not support opening this list in windows explorer'

I hoping someone might be able to help with this frustrating issue.
I work on a project where we are using various versions of on-line SharePoint (2007/O365).  In order to quickly drag and drop folders we need to often open the document libraries by using the 'open in windows explorer view'.
Using the same device, on occassion this works.  But often it gives a rather unhelpful message 'Your client does not support opening this list in Windows Explorer'.
I've searched for this issue over the net and confirm that the sites are added to the 'trusted' sites area and that the 'remember you credientials' is checked on logging in.However, the searches do not seem to apply to IE11/Win8.1 or on-line version of sharepoint
(the suggested hot fix is not suitable)
Only this morning, using the same device I was able, for a short while to open in explorer view, and then for no apparent reason, it began to display the error message.  I had changed nothing regarding settings or even closed the browser.
Do you have any support/ideas/fixes on how to resolve this.
    Many thanks
    val

    Hi Val,
sometimes an answer can be found on the internet by typing the error message from your computer into your favourite search engine.
    eg.
    http://www.bing.com/search?q=your+client+does+not+support+opening+this+list+in+windows+explorer&form=IE10TR&src=IE10TR&pc=HPNTDFJS

follow the directions given above.... you need to add the domains to your Intranet sites list, not the Trusted sites list.
Perhaps you already have it mapped to your intranet zone....in which case make sure that you have unchecked "Enable Enhance Protected Mode" on the Intranet  zone dialog in Internet Options.
If this is happening 'randomly' on client machines, then users are probably changing their internet security settings in Internet Options. Ensure they are accepting the default.... Internet Options>Security tab, click "Reset all zones to default".
Consult with your system administrators to find out if they are applying a custom security template for the Intranet zone... It may be removing the sharepoint domains from the client Intranet zone's domains lists.
    HTH.

I am trying to open a document library in Internet Explorer 11 on a Windows 2012 R2 server and I am receiving Your Client Does not Support Opening this list with Windows Explorer

    Hi,
According to your post, my understanding is that you wanted to open a document library with the Internet Explorer 11 on a Windows 2012 R2 server. But you received the following error message: Your client
does not support opening this list with Windows Explorer.
There can be multiple reasons for it.
So, I recommend you can check with the following steps:
Go to the “Server Manager” of “Administrative Tools” > Enable the “Desktop Experience” feature in your environment.
Go to the “Services” of “Administrative Tools” >
Ensure the “WebClient” service is started.
Ensure that your computer has supported Web browser.
Ensure that Internet Explorer is configured correctly to add
https://*.sharepoint.com to Local intranet site in the “Security Tab” of “Internet Options”.
    Ensure that
you have applied the latest updates on the system.

    Hi,
According to your post, my understanding is that you got “Your client does not support opening this list with Windows Explorer” error.
Did you enable the both authentication (Windows and FBA) on default zone.
As far as I remember when FBA is enabled on the same zone when Windows is used, it breaks whole client integration.
So it will be better if you will recheck your architecture and will use different zones for Windows and FBA.
There is also another thing to try: use claims based authentication with authentication provider which will work both with Windows and FBA.
What’s more, you can also check with below steps.
Use compatibility mode to check whether it works.
    Open IE->Tools->Compatibility View Settings
Add the site into Trusted sites to check whether it works..
Open the IE->Internet Options->Security->Sites->add the site into the Websites, then check whether it works.
In addition, you can also try to enable Basic authentication on the client computer, by setting the BasicAuthLevel registry entry of the following key:
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\WebClient\Parameters
