The music I buy in the Iphone does not play in itunes

When I buy music on my Iphone 4 and then sync with Itunes on my PC, the songs appear in the list but does not play. and then some songs on my Iphone 4 does not play properly or play other song. what is wrong?

iTunes: How to move [or copy] your music [library] to a new computer [or another drive] - http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4527 - a somewhat bewildering and not always easily understandable set of options.
Quick answer if you use iTunes' default preferences settings:  Copy the entire iTunes folder (and in doing so all its subfolders and files) intact to the other drive.  Open iTunes and immediately hold down the Option (alt) key (shift on Windows), then guide it to the iTunes Library.itl file in the moved iTunes folder.
For the record there's this reference for iTunes 11 but it really doesn't strike me as having the specifics you need. iTunes 11 for Mac: Move your library to another computer - http://support.apple.com/kb/PH12168
Windows users see tip at: https://discussions.apple.com/message/18879381
2011 Transferring your iTunes library - http://www.ilounge.com/index.php/articles/comments/moving-your-itunes-library-to -a-new-hard-drive/  - An article with good background information, particularly if you are not sure your media files are all grouped for quick  solution above. Unfortunately it uses the single term "transferring library" for two very different moves; relocating just your media (not recommended unless you really need this configuration) and relocating media+database (really your whole "library").  Make sure you understand the difference before electing to move only media.
If you put it in the default location of Macintosh HD > Users > *User Name* > Music  then you don't even need to start with the option key held down, iTunes will automatically look for it there.  (Make sure there isn't anything already in the iTunes folder there that you want to keep since you will be replacing it with the one you are moving.)

  • THE SIM CARD INSERTED IN THIS IPHONE DOES NOT APPEAR TO BE SUPPORTED.....

Hello. I bought on Dec. 17th 2007 at Orange shop in Beausoleil (south France) an iPhone with the option of unlocking the Sim (100 Euro plus). I followed all instructions. Everything was perfect, on Dec. 24th I was able to unlock the iPhone and used with Orange sim, MonacoTelecom sim and Vodafone sim. BUT the iPhone had a problem: when in sleep mode it did't received calls. So Afer 24 hours I stopped to use, UNSAFE. After Christmas holidays I called Apple assistance, they send me UPS and I returned iPhone to Apple (Jan. 4th 2008). I received a NEW iPhone on Jan. 8th 2008, VERY RUSH. Perfect service, I thought (...making terrible error...). The iPhone was LOCKED and I wasn't able to use. Now starts all the problems and for this reason I'm writing.
I called Apple and Orange many times. Orange didn't received the documents from Apple for the changing of IMEI and Serial, for them I had the first iPhone. After many cals finally I asked Apple to send something official for the changing.
    ....Days goes on and on.......
Every day two times I called Orange, but evert time I received different versions of my situation. Everyday I tried to restore the iPhone but still simlocked.
On Jan.15th after a meeting with a lawyer I decided to make pression to Apple: infact I returned them an unlocked iPhone and I received back a locked one.
I finally was able to speak with a "supervisor" (Mr. F...) and he tried to solve the problem.
On Jan. 16th I spoke with another "supervisor" (Mr. J...) and he told me to make another time the restore, because they changed the firmware.
From now I tried to make the restore many times with Orange sim. Everything seems to go well but when I put another sim on iTunes there is a white page with:
"THE SIM CARD INSERTED IN THIS IPHONE DOES NOT APPEAR TO BE SUPPORTED. Only compatible SIM cards from a supported Carrier may be used to activate iPhone. Please etc etc....".
So the iphone is locked!!! Maybe is country locked, I don't know.
    Incredible, unbelievable.
From Apple they told me to wait someting from US, but until now ..... nothing, I received no news from Apple.
The bad situation is that after more than 30 days after the buy I am not able to use the hardware I bought!
I hope that someone from Apple can read this post (sorry if is so long, but with this details I think that in Apple can understand the problem).
I send in warranty an hardware with certain features that I payed to Apple and I received back it with different features.
    That's not serious.
After many days, next week I think to go by legal means if Apple France is'nt able to solve the issue.
Many thanks if someone from Apple read my post.
Many thanks if someone help me.

But who has to make another unlock? Orange told me that for them is ok and the phone is unlocked. I read on other pages that Apple has a world-database with Imei numbers. So seems Apple can also do the unlock, even for the fact that they returned me a locked phone, different from the one I sent them. The warranty is with Apple, I forgot to warite in my first post that first of all on Janauary I went to Orange shop where I bought the iPhone but they told me for every problem is Apple that has to solve.

How to solve this problem that I have

i've had a few issues like this.
I've found that it is an issue with items that are already on your phone.
    several troubleshoots.
    1) uncheck everything from syncing (apps, music, tv shows, movies, podcasts, etc), try to perform a sync, it most likely will work.  Then, sync after checking each item individually (check the sync box for videos, then sync, check the sync box for podcasts, then sync, check the sync box for music, then sync, etc).  One of two things will happen, 1) you will fix the problem, or 2) you will identify exactly what part of the sync setup is the culprit.
    2) if the above doesn't work, I've found that it is likely an issue with files that are on your phone but your phone doesn't exaclty recognize (for example, I had copies of music on my phone that didn't show up in the music app, I went in on itunes and manually deleted those songs from my phone and that fixed the sync).  to do this, check the "manually manage music and videos" box at the bottom of "summary" while your phone is connected to itunes.  Then, go to the left hand pane in itunes and find your iphone device, click the drop-down arrow that shows all the categories for media on your iphone.  Go to the music category in your iphone on itunes and delete all the music that shows up.  Try to perform a sync - it likely will work.  After this, you can uncheck the manually manage music box and re-sync your phone as normal
let me know if either works

my iphone does not sync with itunes on my second authorized computer, please help. i changed the first authorized computer in May 2012 and have been using the second authorized computer since then but it cannot sync - please help!!

"I was thinking I would just connect my iPhone and all of my music and other stuff would transfer to the new computer. "
Not true. The music and pic sync is one way - computer to iphone. The only exception is itunes purchases. Without syncing: File>Transfer Purchases
You really should transfer everything from the old computer, or your backup copy of your computer. Since you do not have access to the old computer, then use your backup copy of the old computer.
If for some reason you have failed to maintain a backup copy of your computer ( not good), then you would have to transfer itunes purchased as described earlier. Any other itunes content would be lost.
You can e-mail photo library pics to yourself, but they will not be of the original quality.
Before syncing, enter at least one unique contact and calendar entry on the computer. When you first sync, then you should get the option to merge the data.

The SIM card inserted in this iPhone does not appear to be supported
This iPhone is not currently setup to work with carrier you're attempting to use. Please insert another SIM card from a supported carrier or request that this iPhone be unlocked.

It sounds like you or someone else hacked the phone to unlock it. Updating it locked it to the original carrier.
How did you unlock it? The ONLY legitimate way is to ask the carrier it is locked to to unlock it. Any other way requires hacking or jailbreaking the phone.

The SIM card inserted in this iPhone does not appear to be supported.

This is not a hardware issue with the iPhone. Please insert another SIM card from a supported carrier or request that this iPhone be unlocked by your carrier. Please contact Apple for more information.

Or if you've recently got the phone unlocked then you'll need to connect it to  itunes and then do a fresh restore to unlock it ,although for most users simply connecting to itunes for few seconds did the trick.

    what can in do?

Well unfortunatly that advice does not always work. I bought a unlocked iphone4  from apple several years ago and went to att on a no contract basis. Six months later the phone crashed while updating the operating system. Apple replaced the phone with a new one. All is fine till I got a iphone5 and gave te phone to my cousin. The phone is now locked to att but att says the IMEI number is not a valid ATT IMEI and therfore cant unlock it. Apple says there is nothing They can or are willing to do so now I am stuck for a 600.00 phone that can't be used.
If anyoun knows a way naround this situation mI would appreciate a heads up.

  • Im trying to activate my iphone and it fails saying "the SIM card inserted in this iphone does not appear to be supported". i rang apple they said its vodaphone rang vodaphone they said its apple... someone please help!!!!!!

my iphone 4s was continually searching for a newtwork my carrier informed me my iphone needed a service or exchange. i drove 2hrs and paid $239 to exchange my iphone. i then went to activate it and i recieve a message saying activation failed. the SIM card inserted in this iphone does not appear to be supported. contact apple for support. i rang apple and they informed me its my sim or the carrier. i rang the carrier and they said its apple. i have also tried activating the phone by using another carriers sim and the same carriers sim from another persons working phone. still get the same message.

    Dude,
Apple didn't lock the phone, and you'll be waiting until kingdom come of you think that Apple will unlock it.
Only the carrier to which a phone is locked can authorize the unlocking.

  • O2 - The sim card inserted in this iPhone does not appear to be supported

I just sold my iPhone recently to a guy who has now gone out to Libya for a while, the phone worked fine on iOS 4 with Three, and was offically unlocked by O2 and worked on O2 and Vodafone before selling it, however now he has gone out to Libya the phone is not activating and iTunes is just saying...
"The sim card inserted in this iPhone does not appear to be supported."
What does this mean, he has tried the SIM card in another iPhone and it works fine but it won't work in my old one.
What can be done, I am unsure why iTunes won't activate what is clearly an unlocked iPhone.

The likely answer is that no one knows. Or everyone is too busy talking about the latest press release from Apple.
As long as it was unlocked by a carrier and not by jailbreaking it should work on any GSM network. So the problem is most likely with the SIM your buyer is trying to use. It's either defective or it doesn't have a plan that is compatible with the iPhone.

  • The SIM card inserted in this iPhone does not appear to be supported. 3-UK

    Hi,
I've recently changed my iPhone from the UK Carrier o2 to the UK Carrier Three. When I inserted the 3 sim, iPhone immediately switches to a screen which indicates to connect iPhone to iTunes or allows you to slide for emergency. When I connected to iTunes the following message appears:
"The SIM card inserted into this iPhone does not appear to be supported"
"Only compatible SIM cards from a supported Carrier may be used to activate iPhone. Please insert the SIM that came with iPhone or visit the Carriers store to receive a replacement SIM."
When I went to the Three store they weren't able to tell me what was the problem and suggested I go to apple (unfortunatley I'm not able to go to an apple store any time soon). I bought the phone from apple not o2 so I don't think it's locked, and I would imagine it would say if that was the case?
Thanks in advance for your time!

Your 3G iPhone is locked to O2 and Peter's link to O2 unlock iPhone is the correct way to unlock.
I've had mine iPhone unlocked by O2 just by completing the unlocking form simple as that, 3 days later O2 sends a text message saying unlock is sucessful. Here you have to remove O2 simcard replace it with your new simcard (3) and connect to itunes and sync.
After completion 3 mobile shows on the iTunes summary, disconnect from iTunes and restart your iPhone. That's it.

  • "The SIM card inserted in this iPhone does not appear to be supported." On an unlocked replacement iPhone 5.

I live in the UK and recently got my US model (A1428) iPhone 5 repaired at a UK Apple store. They replaced it with the exact same model.
The original phone was factory unlocked and I was assuming that the replacement phone would also be. Having done some tests it seems like it is unlocked (e.g. it has 5/5 dots reception and 3G) but I cannot get past the activation stage [iTunes doesn't do the job either]. The following message keeps showing up:
The SIM card inserted in this iPhone does not appear to be supported.
The SIM card that you currently have installed in this iPhone is from a carrier that is not supported under the activation policy that is currently assigned by the activation server. This is not a hardware issue with the iPhone. Please insert another SIM card from a supported carrier or request that this iPhone be unlocked by your carrier. Please contact Apple for more information.
I am planning on bringing it back for help. In the meantime I am able to (using itunes) enter recovery mode, do a restore, update the iOS, etc. but I doubt that would help so I am currently avoiding it.
    Any guidance is appreciated.

The message you received indicates that the phone is locked to a carrier other than the one for which you have a SIM. You'll need to take the issue up with Apple. Nothing you do with iTunes is going to make a difference.
I'm quite surprised that the UK Apple Store replaced a U.S. purchased phone. They usually won't.
    Best of luck.

    what does it mean?

    Have a look in Settings>Carrier
Again YOU cannot unlock it - only the original carrier can do it

I did not know what to do??

Follow this article: iPhone: Troubleshooting No Service or No SIM
    Symptoms
In certain situations, iPhone may present one of the following symptoms:
"Invalid SIM" or "No SIM Card installed" alert appears intermittently.
Status bar displays "No SIM" when a SIM card is installed.
    Resolution
If you encounter any of the above symptoms on your iPhone, try these steps to attempt to resolve the issue:
Update your iPhone to the latest version of iOS.
Toggle Airplane mode On and Off.
Try turning iPhone off and then on again.
Check for a carrier settings update. Tap Settings > General > About. If an update is available, a prompt will appear.
Remove the SIM Card and verify that it is a valid, carrier-manufactured SIM. Also verify that it is not damaged, worn, or modified. Then reinsert it.
    Restore the iPhone.
If you still are unable to resolve this issue, contact Apple support for further assistance.
