The Names changes

Hi:
I've been working with FCP 7.0, and I've got a new glitch.
When I cut and paste from one sequence to the other the name changes. In the
new sequence I'm dropping into the name changes from say, Movie to 'Segment 32..."
I don't know why it changes to the name of the segment I'm dropping in, it might
be someting in my settings.
Does this happen to anyone else?

Hi-
There has been some discussion about this problem, and it seems that a common feature in the sequences that have clip renaming occurring is that they start with a freeze frame.
A workaround is to export the freeze frame as a Quicktime movie, import that movie and replace the freeze frame.

Currently, i am doing some research for the related content. I find that delivery configuration has been on the Name Change component (self service). Then I do the security configuration but the related content option does not display on the name change component. No idea which step next i should take.
Please advise.
Any reference or docs is also welcomed.

What do you mean by my two nodes are all local.
Are you trying to use Related Content within one environment?
Make sure you have an authentication domain set on your webprofile and that your hosts file reflects this.
Make sure there is no proxy or firewall in the way.
Make sure Integration Broker is setup correctly.
Try pinging your server including the authentication domain.
Try looking for log files in the application server and errorLog.html in the Webserv folder.

Why does the name change to my dad's name when I use his credit card for downloads?

I have an iPod touch. I have my own apple ID and icloud account. Why does the name change to my dad's name when I use his credit card for downloads? Is there a way I can have my own account and use my dad's card without having his name on my photostream and icloud?
I went on icloud.com and changed my name but it changes the credit card name to mine as well so I can't get apps unless its under his name, but it confuses everyone i share photo streams with, as there are two of my dads?
My aunt is having the same problem with her photostream, so I know its not only me.

I have this problem and it's annoying. Plenty of people in this world do not pay for their own stuff!. So i have 5 kids. All there accounts show as my name when people add them for Photo streams etc etc. This is ridiculous. Why not seperate billing address / credit card details to the name of the person on the account? Why do they have to be the same?

I can tell you that with Sprint their coverage area isn't as good as Verizon or AT&T.
Are you sending these imessage while on wifi or cellular data? Also your husband would need to be in a good coverage area.
Usually when imessage is unavailable it will send it as a text. Does your husband receive your imessage as a text?

HT4137 I plugged our phone into our mac to charge it and it changed the name of the phone to my wife's phone. Attempt to backup from I cloud only gives backups since the name change. How do I reclaim my phone's name?

I plugged my i phone into our mac just to recharge it and somehow it recognized it as my wife's phone and changed the name of the phone to hers. I lost the carrier I was using, though it still can connect to internet. I tried to erase all settings and content, and then back up from I cloud, but it only offered backups since the name was changed. I can't make any calls at this point.

Just plugging it in doesn't change the name. If this was the first time you connected to this computer, you should have selected "Set up as New Device".
You will need to restore and since you no longer have a backup for this phone, you will lose your data.

Distiller - Is it still available or did the name change/

I cannot seem to find a download on Adobe's website for distiller single client...is it still available?

Distiller has not been sold as a single client product since 1.0, 20 years ago. This is the Distiller Server forum; that was discontinued many years ago.
But since 2.0, Distiller has been included with the Acrobat product, currently Acrobat Pro (Windows, Mac) and Acrobat Standard (Windows). This is a single user license NOT to be used for a server process.
The current server solution, similar to Distiller but going further, is LiveCycle PDF Generator, which comes in a variety of editions. Some editions can export or convert Office documents, as well as PostScript.

How can I change the name of the videos I have put onto iTunes?

I have been loading my DVD collection onto my Time Capsule HD and watching them streaming through my ATV. However, I was going to try to organize the files better and rename the titles so the movie title came up as more recognizable then how it gets written into iTunes. When I try to rename the title by right clicking the movie then left clicking "get info", I type in the movie name that I want and I then get the dreaded rainbow wheel. I right click my iTunes on the dock and its saying 'application not responding" so I go ahead and "force quit". Of course, when I do this nothing is saved because it has not finished with the 'OK". I tried going to rename them on the TC and then the movies would not play any more. When I have waited for iTunes to finish and ok the name change I could no longer see the film that way either. It would come up with the player and would show the counter like it really is playing but no video or audio.
I really want to put the real names on the movies with what they are, its a little annoying to look at, for instance...the movie American Pie is titled "AMPIEDC_2_Title_1...The movie America's Sweethearts is titled DVD_VIDEO_Title_1.
This is what shows up in iTunes and subsequently on my ATV or home sharing anything which is quite annoying and unless you know that is how the DVD loaded itself you would not really know what the title of the movie is.

What will happen if I change the name of my Apple Id?

I have only one Apple Id, which is my email address "[email protected]". My Apple Id and primary email are the same. I now have a new email address, and want to change my Apple Id to my new email address. I've been to the Apple Id support page, and have found out how to change the Apple Id on the Apple Id support webpage. I've been reluctant to go through with the process, because I'm unsure as to what the consequences will be if I change my Apple Id. I have an iPhone and an iPad as well as two Macs and an Apple TV hooked up to my Apple Id. My iMac is the main computer used for storing all files and syncing my iOS devices. In addition my contacts and calendar is in the iCloud. I hope someone with the know-how or experience can help me answer the following questions:
1. iPhone and iPad: Once I change my Apple Id, have I understood it correctly when the next thing I do is that I go to General settings -> Store, and sign out from my "old" Apple Id, and then sign in with the new name for my Apple Id? Will my previous purchases of music, ibooks and apps be connected to the new name of my Apple Id, and will I still be able to get previously purchased apps updated? As for iCloud, what must I do on my iPhone and iPad to make sure that contacts and calendars keep in sync?
2. iCloud: Will changing the name of the Apple Id on the Apple Id support webpage be the only thing I need to do, or are there more steps to follow?
3. iMac and MacBook Pro: Am I right in assuming that all I need to do is sign out from the old named account and then sign in with the new name in AppStore, iTunes, FaceTime and Messages app? Is the Apple Id in use by any other apps or functions?
4. Apple TV: Once my iMac is up and running with the new name of the account, I sign out from the old named account, then sign in with the new name, will streaming music and photos etc. work just as before the name change?
5. I still haven't activated Mail in iCloud. As I understand, once you do that you will be prompted to register a @me.com or @icloud.com email address. Will this address now be possible to use instead of my new email address as the name for my Apple Id?
A lot of questions, still I'd be grateful for some answers.

Time Machine will continue to do incremental backups.
It won't immediately delete previous backups of the items you exclude (but it will, eventually). You can do that yourself, if you want, per #12 in the Frequently Asked Questions *User Tip,* also at the top of this forum.

I am trying to fix a friend’s eMac. It was working fine until the name of the administrator was changed incorrectly in Systems Accounts. Upon restart the computer failed to mount. I tried to reinstall Tiger and could not. The destination to do this install could not be found. While in Disk Utilities I tried to repair and then zero out erase the hard drive, this also could not be successfully done. The hard drive was working perfectly before the name change. I may try to load Tiger from the eMac onto an external drive and then hope to erase the eMac internal drive.
Thank you for your thoughts on this as it would be a shame to retire this trusted computer.

Thank you very much for your attention to this. Yesterday I was able to get the eMac to install Leopard onto an external drive. I had hoped that once done I would be able to initialize or erase the content of the internal drive in Disk Utility, but was not able to do so, I only received error messages telling me my request failed. This was also true when I tried to create partitions on it. So in effect, the computer runs, but only from the external drive. I could not even find the internal drive while running from the external drive. Where is it? And the internal drive only occasionally shows up in Disk Utility.
As for holding Option and Alt, the internal drive did not show up.
And Leopard was running on the eMac when I lost contact with it. Again, all failed when a name of the administrator was changed, but was not properly done. Or something like this.
Is there anyway I can use Terminal to help reach the internal drive?
I realize I am asking a lot of questions.

Display name of shared calendar in Outlook clients after name change on the Exchange Server

I have changed the name of a conference room resource calendar on the Exchange server but the name change is not being reflected in the end user's Outlook clients. I tested a remove/re-add and that worked but I cannot have everyone in the company do this.
Is there anyway to force the change down to the Outlook clients?

I don't know for sure, but if this is the case, then it's highly likely that the GUID is used by the client after its first view of the calendar. From that point on, it appears it doesn't "revisit" the directory for updated names.
We'd need Outlook team feedback for confirmation.

Why does the PDFs' name change when i view them in the iBooks app?

i have some past papers and marking schemes in my iTunes library....when i sync them to my iPad, they appear just fine....they are there just the way i named them and all...
but when i open them, the name changes to some coded-ish name with lots of numbers and all that....
is it possible for me to change some setting and save the name i want for those PDFs? Or am I going to have to live with this madness?

Hello, I wanted to follow up on this issue after reviewing some of the changes with the current update. [https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1049521] This bug addressed some Windows HKEYs that are changed when Firefox is updated/or installed.
As an update, a patch has been made and changes are on the way for fresh installs of Firefox :-)

Since you indicated that you were using OS X (10.6.8)......
Open Macintosh HD > Applications > Utilities > AirPort Utility
Click on AirPort Express, then click Manual Setup
Click the Wireless tab located under the row of icons
Edit the Wireless Network Name as you wish
Click Update to save the new changes
Allow a full minute for the AirPort Express to restart

Ahh I see what you mean now. I don't have the computer box ticked in my finder preferences and so the name doesn't show up. If this annoys you so much just go to preferences/sidebar and deselect computer. Then it's not there anymore.

I can't change the name of the track in iTunes on my iMac ox10 . I tried the iTune's Help & read a few answers on this site , but none seems to be working . I go to Info & & press Ok & the name changes in itune , but when I enter the same track to itune again, I get the old name back again. I have no problen in widows7 , I either go to info or I just highlight the track & copy paste the name I want , but I can't do the the same on mac.

Go to \Music\ abnd find the iTunes folder.
Right click - Properties.
Make sure it is not Read Only.
Also, make sure you have full *Read/Writes permissions* to the iTunes folder and all contents.

Batch rename, name changes after frame 99

Hi, I put a folder into bridge to do a batch rename and called the text MILAN/SYRIA and gave for first number 00.
After frame 99 the name changed to a weird Adobe Bridge Batch Rename Temp 10037
Which you can see better in the RAW windows, the 99 and the following one.
Photoshop doesn't like to open a name like that, can't blame her.

why was my card full at 0485 pictures when a folder I think takes as many as 9999, how do you finish a folder if your card is full?

no,no, i started with 00 two digits only, batch rename changed to 623 after i put the folder back in just in order to take the screenshot, i dont know why but that always happens if i put the folder back in after usage, but i do know for life now that if I am going to take over 100 shots, which is most of the time, i should start with 001 or 000.
See, this is the first number that was given to the first file, 01,WHICH actually became 00, i don't have it here.
So it rest to know where is "Preserve file name " in current metadata, and would that make it possible to revert to the original CR2 number?
Why not to change name straight from the new name? thanks
