The network connection failed.

Upgraded to iTunes10 Now I can't connect wirelessly to my speakers.   :: An error occurred while connecting to the AirPlay device “Bed Room”. The network connection failed.http://twitter.com/#%21/search?q=%23apple

I have a similar problem. I use AE(g) with a Powerbook G4 and always get this error, which kind of bugs me, since all the settings appear to be correct. Unlike you though, I didn't make it work, not a single time — closing lid, opening and closing iTunes, resetting AE, yet no luck. Tried it all only with current versions of software.
However, the AE does sense when I unplug the speakers, since it first says "no speakers found", and then "the network connection failed". Strange is that the error has no number, nor does Console provide any clues. Sometimes it is pretty annoying when OS X just says "error". What error, where, why... Feels like good ol' windows times.

  • Remote Speaker (AirTunes) Error - "the network connection failed"

    I am getting a strange error message when I try to stream music through an AirTunes remote speaker. iTunes tells me this:
    *An error occurred while connecting to the remote speaker "NN". The network connection failed.*
    I can't say what has changed for this error to occur. Last time I used the system it worked fine, now it doesn't. I do know I have upgraded iTunes a couple of times since, though.
    I am connecting to an 802.11g AirPort Express running firmware version 6.3.
    Both our computers (MacBook & MacBook Pro) run Mac OS version 10.5.8.
    In my system, the AirPort Express functions solely as a wireless speaker client, as the WLAN network itself is based around an 802.11n AirPort Extreme.
    The AP shows a green light, and reports no problems in AP Utility.
    When I change the device's "iTunes Speaker Password" setting in AP Utility, iTunes in both our computers immediately reflect the change, so apparently the various parts in the system do speak to one another just fine. They just can't transmit music, for some reason...
    Anyone have any idea what might be going on, here?

  • An error occurred while connecting to the remote speaker. The network connection failed.

    I can't get my itunes to connect to the remote speakers via airport express anymore  - I did not change any settings - but did update iTunes to 10.2.2 and now things are not working and I get his message - "An error occurred while connecting to the remote speaker “Living Room”. The network connection failed."
    Does anybody have a fix for this problem?
    thanks

    Same problem for me. Ever since I upgraded to 10.6.3 and iTunes 9.1, about once per week I'll get the error message when trying to get iTunes/Airtunes to connect to my older Airport Express (running firmware 6.3) "An error occurred while connecting to the remote speaker <insert speaker name here>. The network connection failed." (No error codes are given.)
    Airport Utility sees the offending Airport Express just fine (and there's a green light on said AE).
    Curiously, a newer AE-n, elsewhere in the house (running firmware 7.4.2) does NOT exhibit this problem.
    Simply restarting the offending AE does NOT clear the problem. Restarting the main router - a Time Capsule DOES clear the problem. Alternatively, toggling off the Airtunes functionality on the offending AE, restarting it, then toggling Airtunes back on, and finally restarting it DOES clear the problem (as an alternate to restarting the router). No matter how the problem is cleared, it returns within a week. It's frustrating that the problem cannot be recreated immediately.
    Probably not relevant, but the computer on which I'm running iTunes (a Mac Mini) is connected to my TC via ethernet, not wirelessly.
    I've tried the suggestion of disabling ipv6. No effect.
    I fear the only solution will be to scrap my older Airport Express and replace it with a newer n-model. But before I resign myself to the $100 fix, any more ideas?

  • Airplay Connection issues - An error occurred while connecting to the AirPlay device "x". The network connection failed.

    I recently upgraded to a new MacBook Pro running Mountain Lion, and got my Airport Express (802.11g) out of the closet and set up an AirPlay network for my speakers.
    All worked well for the first while, but recently I've been having an inconsistent problem with this: "An error occurred while connecting to the AirPlay device “my network name”. The network connection failed."
    Since it came up, more often than not, I can't connect.
    I can play without issue from my iPhone, and from my iPad.
    I looked around these forums, and found a couple threads dealing with this from 2011, with no clear resolution to them.  No one with Mountain Lion seems to complain about it, though a few people mused about whether Mountain Lion might fix the problem.
    I'm running iTunes 10.7(21), and don't recall doing any upgrades to it that might have brought this about, though I can't say for sure.
    My Airport Express is updated to firmware version 6.3, which I believe is the last one issued for the 'g' Airport Express.
    My wireless network runs off an Airport Extreme 802.11n (Second Generation) with verion 7.6.1 firmware.
    My Mac has 10.8.2 on it right now.
    Hopefully some of that info might help sort this out - any replies greatly appreciated!

    One quick update.  A workaround that was mentioned in one post did seem to work - if music is started via the Remote app it seems to connect fine.
    And I'm not sure if I dare upgrade to iTunes 11 given the firestorm of bad impressions I see, including some that relate to Airplay functions...

  • An error occurred while connecting to the AirPlay device "Stereo Airport Express G". The network connection failed.

    When attempting to play iTunes 11.1.2 music wirelessly from my Mac Mini to stereo speakers connected to an AE "G" I get the following message: An error occurred while connecting to the AirPlay device “Stereo Airport Express G”.   However, when I attempt to play internet radio from an iPod Touch wirelessly to the same speakers connected to the same AE "G", it works fine.
    Finally, when I swap out the "G" for an AE "N" connected to the same speakers Airplay works fine, both from the Mini and the iPod.
    Why would the iPod connection work while the Mini connection not?

    I have what sounds like a very similar issue.
    I had my Denon 3312ci working perfectly with Airplay from my 2013 iMac running iTunes. Upgraded to iTunes 11.1.3, and now when I attempt to Airplay direct from iTunes to the 3312, it plays for about half a second and then stops. Displayed on the Amp then says "Assigning Network". The amp starts dropping ping packets at this point. About 15-20 seconds later the pings start coming back, but no Airplay.
    I tried different network cables, resetting the microprocessor, a different switch, changing between DHCP and static IP. Was about to make a warranty call to Denon, when I thought maybe I should try Airplaying directly from iphone and ipad. Much to my surprise, it worked from those devices.
    I prefer to use my iMac to Airplay rather than ipad/iphone as I found I got next to no audio drop outs using it that way (they are both using wired network), where as ipad/iphone occasionally would get a moment of silence in the middle of a song.
    My network set up is fine. I can use internet radio and connect to DLNA services fine on the amp. It is just airplay between iTunes 11.1.3 and the amp where the issue lies.
    No fixes as yet, but I have logged a support call with Denon Australia to see what they say.

  • Failed to load resource the network connection was lost

    I am uploading a 2 gb file into my application using chrome in my MacBook Pro, i keep getting an error (FAILED to load resource: net::ERR_CONNECTION_RESET) when the file is 100% uploaded and the file starts uploading from the beginning (1%... and so on). This issue is not happening when i am doing the file upload using chrome in my windows 7 machine. I Also noticed in the same MacBook if i upload through Safari i get the same error (failed to load resource the network connection was lost). Please let me know what additional information i can provide technically.

  • "We could not complete your itunes store request. The network connection could not be established. There was an error in the itunes store. Please try again later."

    When I try to open the home page in my Itunes I get the message "we could not complete your itunes store request. The network connection is not be established. There was an error in the itunes store. Please try again later." It had been working just fine, in fact I had just purchased a song & edited my itunes account. Could changing the name on my account have cause the error message or is something else going on? This is a brand new computer.

    I've got an Apple ID problem, too. All of the sudden in the midnight between August 31st and September 1st, the new apps I picked up on the App Store hung forever 'Waiting..' in my iPhone and never turned 'Loading'. When a substantial amont of time had passed, they reported, they 'could not connect to the App Store' and .. disappeared! Well what they told was not perfectly true because I could however connect to the store as I could browse and pick the apps, but the apps just didn't load. I tried to log into my account in iTunes on my Windows 7 laptop, too, and there got exactly the message in the topic title.
    It appeared later my Apple ID did not completely fail because when I switched from my home WiFi to the phone 3G, everything worked just as nothing happened. Logically, this intimated my WiFi had flaws. Or, some place between my WiFi router and Apple servers did, to be precise. My router was not to blame because I did no changes to it whatsoever.
    All right, it is Saturday today and my ISP is running in unmanned mode meaning no hotline, but I call them on Monday unless the problem disappears by itself. I just wonder what I say, because from non-i-world point of view everything works well, and I know for sure guys in the ISP support don't own any i-stuff, (because they are all android fanatics) . I'm not telling them my Apple ID to let them reproduce the problem on their home equipment, which means I come almost totally proofless.

  • I am unable to connect to the Itune Store, it says the network connection timed out. The internet is working for everything else. Any idea?

    I can no longer connect to the ITunes Store. CAn you help? When I do the diagnostics it says Securie link to itunes store failed.

    I think I may be having the same problem.  "We could not complete your iTunes Store request.  The network connection timed out.  Make sure your network settings are correct and your network connection is active, then try again."   All tests pass the diagnostics.  iPhone restored to factory settings in DFU mode, but when beginning to sync I get this error message.  I've been searching online for fixes and tried several suggestions, but nothing worked so far.  (disabled antivirus, firewall, ie settings, uninstall/reinstall itunes...)  I'm getting very frustrated & hoping someone on here can help.

  • Adobe version checker : Network connection failed

    Hello all,
    I recently wanted to try the new "Adobe Mobile Packager" to publish a FL application.
    I succeeded in making the .sis file, with an empty certificate. When installing the .sis application, all went fine.
    But when I wanted to launch it, it asked me to install the "new" other "Adobe Version Checker" application... but when it tried to connect, i have a great "network connection failed" prompting to me. and the application could not be launched.
    Any idea to solve this ?
    Thanks.

    Hello,
    Thanks for the feedback.
    The device is a Nokia N95 8Go. The network I want to connect to is SFR

    I didn't try with another network like Orange or Bouygues, I can try

  • Handle the Network Connection Error ...

    The main purpose is to handle the Network Connection Error,
    when there is a Network Connection Error or pc loss the
    connection (remove the ETH cable),
    and it work in IE but not with firefox.
    When there isn't connection during play of sound1, Flash call
    "sound1.onSoundComplete" that point to an other frame, where i load
    an other es:Sound2.mp3, BUt there isn't connection and Flash call
    "sound1.onLoad" with "success=false" and that's OK because i handle
    the error for example retry to load every 10 Seconds.
    With Firefox when it happens the player call load sound2.mp3
    but there isn't connection and it can't find the file (OK) BUT is
    NOT CALL the "sound2.onLoad" and STOPS it in this frame mute and
    nothing more happens.
    This is the sample Code:
    //on frame (1)
    sound1 = new Sound();
    sound2 = new Sound();
    //on frame (2)
    sound1.onLoad = function(success) {
    if (success) {
    //on load OK...
    trace("Sound1 loading ok...");
    } else {
    //on load FAIL...
    trace("Sound1 error ...");
    //call error function. (es: goto frame 1 and reload all.)
    _root.sounderror();
    sound1.loadSound("sound1.mp3", true);
    sound1.setVolume(100);
    sound1.onSoundComplete = function() {
    //goto next frame and load the Second sound
    gotoAndStop(3);
    //on the Frame-3
    //there is the same code but with sound2 and
    "onSoundComplete" -> gotoAndStop(2); for a loop of the two
    sounds.
    Thanks in advance for HELP ME.
    PLAEASE READ and Comment!!!
    This is my work! Sorry for the Bad English.

    Thanks for your support, i have modify like your suggest but
    the problem continue.
    I've notice that in local work very fine also with Firefox. i
    try during play to remove in one shot all mp3 file, and it call the
    error handler function correctly, But if i put it on the web, when
    i unplug the eth cable, it stop after sound2 or 3.loadsond and
    write me back it in a text box, stop! it NOT Call the onload
    triger, and do not call the error function.
    WHY ?!? in local work whit all browser, and on web only with
    IE?
