The never-ending search for right 7D import/export settings

Hey all,
When it comes to technical specs, I'm still learning when it comes to HDSLR footage.
So I'm STILL looking for the right settings for my video to look smooth and crisp. It's gotten better as I've experimented with a few different settings.... but by the time I export out of FCP7 it's still not even as sharp as it looks on the lcd of the 7D. At times it looks like crap. So, I need a tad bit of help. I'm sure I'm still doing something(s) terribly wrong.
So, here's a run-down of my settings from beginning to end.
IN CAMERA
Shooting 720p 60fps
IMPORT
Bringing onto external with CF card reader
CONVERT
Converting 7D movie files with MPEG streamclip
For compression, I choose Apple ProRes 422 HQ, set quality at 100%, frame size at 1280x720 and I un-check interlaced Scaling
IMPORT
I import these transcoded files into FCP7
EXPORT
For best quality, I:
Export to Quicktime move --> ProRes HQ 1280x720 60p
For HD YouTube upload, I:
Export to QuickTime Conversion:
Video Settings --> H.264
Key Frames every --> 24 frames
Data rate restrict to --> 3500 kb/sec
Optimize for --> download
Size --> 1280x720 HD
Prepare for Internet Streaming --> Fast start
So, what newbie mistake am I making here? What should I change?

That's because using Cmd+J for doing slow motion on 720p60 is the wrong way to go about it.
Log & Transfer your 720p60 clips as ProRes 422. Open the .mov files in Cinema Tools and conform them to 720p30 or 720p24.

SOLUTION for the never ending reboot loop when charging

I used my iPad until the battery was completely flat, then when I went to charge it, it got stuck in the never ending reboot loop where it shows the Apple logo for about 30 seconds, then shows the home screen for a split second before shutting down and repeating the whole process again and again.
So here's what you need to do to fix this problem without having to restore or plug into iTunes.
1. Plug in the charger
2. When the Apple logo appears, unplug the charger
3. As soon as you see the home screen appear, plug the charger back in. You need to do this quickly as the home screen only shows for a split second
4. The loading wheel should appear and shut down the iPad
5. Leave the iPad for a good 30mins or so just to get some battery life into before you start using it again.
And that's it!

Figured I'd start recording the errors I get in the Installer Log:

In search results, Summary sometimes shows the top of file, not the text I searched for

I'm searching lots of html files, it's a web site that's not imported into Sharepoint. Search is returning the correct files, but about half the time the Summary contains the text at the top of the html file, not the text surrounding the text I searched
for. It's a big problem, users have to open the file then find the search text to see if it's useful.
If I search for 'potato' here's an example Summary which is ok:

Here's a Summary just showing text from the top of the file, 'potato' is present, but lower in the file:

Could anyone help me get it to consistently show the text around the search text please?

You can't attach a screenshot to the first post that starts a thread, but you can do that in subsequent replies.
Does this only happen on one specific website?
Can you post a link to a publicly accessible page (i.e. no authentication or signing on required)?
It is possible that there is a problem with that web page and that there is a clear:both CSS rule missing that causes Firefox to start the next line at the horizontal position where the previous line ended.
If you have made changes to Advanced font settings like increasing the minimum/default font size then try the default minimum setting "none" and the default font size 16 in case the current setting is causing problems.
*Firefox > Preferences > Content : Fonts & Colors > Advanced > Minimum Font Size (none)
Make sure that you allow pages to choose their own fonts.
*Firefox > Preferences > Content : Fonts & Colors > Advanced: [X] "Allow pages to choose their own fonts, instead of my selections above"

The never ending Connecting to ISP mesage-but never happens

For the last week I have had no problems with my Extreme base station which connects through Dial up and is extendeded by a Airport Express station to provide coverage to several of my families laptops. Today - I asked airport to connect like always (I dont have it configured for automatic dial) and while it began dialing like normal got stuck on the message connecting to ISP. Needless to say I have tried everything including resetting it, (which by the way is the only way I can stop the connecting to ISP message on Internet Connect) I have disconnected and turning every computer off as well as the express station and physically I reset the base station via paper clip and used the Airport assistant to set the base station up like new - but no dice. Everytime it dials (and I have actually picked up the phone to listen) it makes the call but when the message Connecting to ISP is displayed the phone goes silent and the computer is stuck displaying the scrolling message that it is connecting to the ISP. But NADA! Do you think my ISP or phone company changed something??? Could it be new firmare or airport software taking effect? Man if you have any ideas - please help.

Well I got ahold of (AppleCare) - more specifically - Sean in Austin - a product specialist who took me through - tons of stuff annnnd - NADA - had to escalate it to engineering who probably won't be able to answer until Thursday. Interestingly we were able to hook up to a Apple Server without a problem but my ISP still gives the never ending "Connecting to ISP" message - later I called my ISP and they said if your able to connect the computer to there ISP but not the router - then it isnt there problem - its Apple.

The problem with write permissions for the OneDrive folder only shows up in Lightroom 6's export dialogue, that's why it's to irritating. Lightroom 5.7.1 is not having that problem nor does the file explorer. The problem also exists on both of my machines. Some websites do that automatically: they detect that you found them in a Google search and highlight your search terms for you.
(Some people find that a little creepy...)
Firefox doesn't do that, but if you install the Google toolbar and do your searches through the toolbar, then it can add the highlights:

Since reconnecting bluetooth on my 3G after accidently dropping (the ap not the phone) I have successfully reconnected only to find the phone continuously searching for devices. To stop excessive draining of the battery I turn bluetooth off.

After successfully reconnecting my 3G iPhone to bluetooth (I accidently dropped bluetooth) the phone contantly searches for devices. Everything works fine now but it appears the battery is draining more rappidly because the phone is constantly searching in the background. I turn bluetooth off when I exit the but it drives me nutty. Any suggestions?

Is it possible to find out what serial or UDID info is stored on iCloud being used by the FindMyIphone site? The FMI website doesn't show anything but the name and the device image (which is a generic iPhone image, and definitely not the 5S )

Try the following steps, check whether things are working after each step where appropriate, before trying the next.
Restart the Apple TV (Settings > General > Restart).
Restart the Apple TV by removing ALL the cables for 30 seconds.
Restart your router.
Reset the Apple TV (Settings > General > Reset > Reset all settings)
Restore the Apple TV (Settings > General > Reset > Restore)

Right sequence and export settings in Premiere Pro CS6, video with still images

I am trying to run a video on my website (self hosted). This video, made with Premiere Pro CS6, consists of still images with different video effects.
This video is only 50 seconds, but when I transform this in the ogg, webm and mp4 format, I obtain file with large size and the quality is not good.
Could you please guide me to find out the right sequence and export settings in Premiere Pro CS6 to obtain a video for the best possible quality on the web?
A precise description of the settings would be awesome.

Make the export setting the resolution you want to use on the web.
Make the sequence settings accordantly to these export settings

The quote of Dusty is not something new but quite many users, I believe, do same shifting/searching for the perfect WM. This thread is NOT about comparing WMs and DEs but what do we want a WM to do? Can we use the same things what made Arch perfect also for a WM? Does it have to be a WM or can it instead be a PM (program manager)? What's an ideal whatever it would be?

no, but to have one that will setup and configure how everyone wants, it's going to need to include all of the capabilities of doing what everyone wants. pixmaps, and that'll add size, which the minimalists dont like. Sure we could modularise it, but once you start doing things like that, it makes the situation much more complex, how you would distribute the addons, and avoiding conflicts between those addons.
newbies will want a wm that will just work right off, which means that the wm would need to come with GUI confs etc, others would want one that doesnt have those, which means we'd have to distrobute them seperately, which means that the newbies wouldnt have them if they just installed it.
otherwise, you're just asking for fvwm, from what i've heard and seen, it can do practically anything, and can be configured to do nearly anything. and if it doesnt do it, you can make a plugin for it.
