Start Firefox in [[Safe Mode]] to check if one of the extensions or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox (Tools) > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).

After several hours of inactivity, the tabs are blank with noway to tell them apart without clicking on them. also the menu bar is there but the words 'File Edit View History Bookmarks Tools Help' are blank. also the drop down menus are blank.

The links are there. I can click on them. I'm just can not see what I'm clicking on. The info on the tabs comes back but only when I click on that tab. rebooting every 24 hours fixes the problem temporarily.

HT3049 Under the 'advanced' tab, none of the drop down menus are openable and I can't type in any of the boxes

I get as far as trying to add a printer in system preferences but I can'y input any of the printer details.

I am having this exact same problem and it is beyond frustrating. Seems the print utility in Mountain Lion has never worked at all for me, I've tried for months to get my windows shared printer working on my MacBook Air and I am still unable. I attempted to start from scratch but lo and behold I now can not even access any options within the advanced tab, everything is gray and unclickable.

That was most likely the result of some kind of corruption, as I've already said, not a bug in Mail. Have you repaired the hard drive with Disk Utility recently? That wouldn't be a bad idea.
2 - at random times, mail (or the server) says that my password is incorrect and I must reenter (fix: usually I can quit mail, restart, and the connection is restored without reentering my password)
This is a known issue, where a failure to respond promptly on the server's end mimics what happens when the password is rejected. There's no need to quit Mail, just cancel when asked to enter the password, take the account back online and try again.

Never seen that before. That points more to some kind of possible corruption in your Mail data or preference files.

Business Contact Manager 2013 Issue with drop down menus not working correctly and BCM disappearing.

We upgraded from BCM 2007 to BCM 2013. Now the BCM disappears from Outlook occasionally and the drop down menus are confused. for instance when accessing the drop down for phone numbers, the user selects company - but the field for TTY/TDD comes up.
Shows fields that don't exist etc.
The client is using Office 2013 Pro Premium from Office 365 Small Business Premium subscription and BCM downloaded from Microsoft website.
Please let me know what the support avenues are for this product.

This issue may be caused since the BCM was not installed properly.
Please go to Control Panel -> Programs and Features, find Business Contact Manager for Microsoft Outlook and Uninstall it.
Then go to
http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=36513, download the right version of BCM(32bit or 64bit) and install it.

Try an SMC Reset. (System Management Controller)
Shutdown>unplug from power for ten minutes>press and hold in the power button for ten seconds>startup again.
Also try a PRAM Reset. (Parameter RAM)
Shutdown. At the bootup chime, hold down CMD-Option-P-R together, wait for two more chimes, total three, then let go of all keys to finish booting,

Basically I have an iphone 4 and upgraded to v7 and most recently v7.0.2. When I am on calls the phone started to beep and vibrate and sometimes change the call to speaker. It seems to be that the screen is sometimes active whilst on calls and so my ear is actually pressing the buttons and hitting numbers or changing it to speaker phone. It has also cancelled a call a few times.
This is extremely annoying and makes every call a worry.
Any ideas of how to solve this problem?

I have taken it back to the Apple store genius bar, but they say they don't see anything wrong. Well unless you use it all day and experience the problems when they happen, you wont see anything wrong. But there are lots wrong with it. But this would be the same store as I purchased the phone. And they backed up my old Iphone 4, but were not able to get anything to load back onto my new phone. So, I lost pretty much everything. But over time, some of my contacts have started showing up, although i am still missing over 800 of them.

How can I correct the problems I've been experiencing lately with drop-down menus in general as well as and leading of text. It 's occurring on both Safari and Firefox browsers.

The above headline pretty much covers the problems.
Access to the drop down menus is erratic. Sometimes it's problem-free, but at other times it's impossible to see the options on the menu, or if they are visible, it's impossible to effect a change by clicking on one of them. The times I notice it most is when I am trying to change fonts or font sizes, but it occurs at other times, as well.
It's also frustrating to have to deal with double spacing (for example, when describing items on eBay). Sometimes the text flows normally, but if I force a return, the text that follows usually is double-spaced.
Often, the justification option does not work either.
Occasionally, I can get around one problem or another by switching back and forth between Safari and Firefox, but eventually, the original problem resurfaces.
Because it happens on both browsers, eBay tech support is inclined to think the problem is in my software. (I'm inclined to agree.)
Although they have suggested clearing the history in FF, that option must have been relocated, because it'sno longer under the "Tools" menu, where it was in the past. I also can't find the clear your cache option on OS Safari or 10.8.3.

I don't think it'd help much but clearing history is now in the History menu, and setting FF to clear history on exit is near the bottom of the Privacy tab of FF Preferences.
Also, if you don't have the Develop menu in Safari, open Safari preferences, click Advanced, and select “Show Develop menu in menu bar.” You'll find "Empty Caches" there.

I told the genius bar what happened, and I already did the so called "steps" that apple reccommended on the site, which was reset network settings, restore iPhone. The genius bar gave me a replacement phone, so I was expecting that the problem would be over, but it isn't. It seems that it's iOS 6.1.3 which is the case of most public complaints on apple iPhone products. Not even 3 weeks after I got the phone replaced, it is doing it again, so I suspect I'm just going to get a replacement again? Unfortunately I only have until 5th of july 2013 until my 1 year warranty is up. After that, any issue I have, I have to purchase apple care. People are expecting this problem to be fixed but I don't see it being solved any time soon. This is horrible and really low, because I have been a good customer, when I talk to the people at the genius bar, I show the utmost respect I can to them for the work they put into their job, but somewhere there is a problem where something has gone wrong. if you're using the same computer hardware to reinstall your cs3, you don't need to deactivate first.

After we installed a new airport extreme, the imac running snow leopard displays black box msgs saying to hold down the power button and or the reset button and then restart your computer. Can anyone provide info that can help resolve this issue?

one of the printers are usb'd to the imac. The printer is not "seeing" the imac nor will it print wireless from the powerbook which was the norm prior to the upgrade on the airport extreme.
Upon restart, the imac does not "see" the wireless keyboard or the mouse until it is "found" again.
At this time the imac or the powerbook can get on line.

It sounds like your computer is getting Kernel Panics. Please look at About "You need to restart your computer" (kernel panic) messages and if the message seen on your display is like the one in the link then you have confirmed you had a KP. KP's can be tough to track down because they can be caused by software or hardware. The first place to start is to post the complete crash log so we can look at it, often there are clues in the log. You can find it at:

Even if I'm not despertate, creating a new Id is good Idia. But I think I must create another email address also since I can't use the first email adress as an apple id for the new one.
