The new firefox browser needs easier toolbar add on access to delete add ons. how do i delete inbox??

how do i easily find, add or delete toolbar add on . ?

Hello Nukebrown77, you have enable the firefox button(the orange button on the top left), so you can not see "tools", if yes, go from Firefox button > Options > check Toolbar menu [v] , to get the toolbar again, then go from Tools > Addons and disable the inbox toolbar (if you have it) and go to Options > General tab and set your home page again.
see http://toolbar.inbox.com/faq.aspx?faqid=2876&faqmod=wst_install#2
also go to [http://kb.mozillazine.org/About:config about:config] type in the bar inbox , and if you find anything inbox (bold) delete it.
thank you

Since the most recent Firefox update 3.6.8 my banking institution no longer shows as having a secure encrypted connection, however, my bank assures me all is well with their certificates and that is a problem with the new Firefox browser update, can you give me some idea why it is doing this?

    Hello Anne.
Can you please try it in a new (temporary) Firefox profile and see if the issue is still present? See [http://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Managing+profiles this article] to know how to create a new Firefox profile. Please report back the results.

  • I wish to remain with firefox 3.6, the new firefox is very difficult to use because it has no menus. How can I turn off firefox asking me to upgrade?

I tried firefox 4 and it was like the new gui of win 7. I hate this horrid hidden menu system. Can I have classic menus with firefox 5?

I agree with you. Firefox 4 and latest upgrades are not intuitive. It is not intuitive to create browsers that automatically load without a 'Menu Bar'. It would appear that the developers have forgotten that not everyone is super savvy with changing the look of their browser. Not providing a simple 'Classic' button was also a huge mistake.
However, they did provide a method for changing everything.
Click on the orange 'Firefox' button located top left.
Hover over 'Options' and a new dropdown list appears.
Click on 'Menu Bar' to tick it.
The Menu Bar should reappear and the orange Firefox has gone.
To get rid of the 'Tabs on Top' follow the same instructions but this time you can see that 'Tabs on top' has a tick next to it. Click on 'Tabs on Top' to remove the tick and you will find the tabs are returned to the correct position below the Toolbars.
You may also wish to move the 'Home' icon. You can locate it on the far right of the Navigation pane; a small icon with a little house.
Logically, most people like this icon to follow the Back and forward buttons, but placed before the address bar.
    To move it:
Click on 'View' then 'Toolbars' then select 'customise'. With this small 'Customise Toolbar' window open you can now hover over the home icon and the cursor will look like an open hand, so left click and hold to grab the icon and drag to a better position if desired. The 'Customise Toolbar' allows you to add eg: printer or place separators to tidy the Navigation toolbar :)

  • The new Firefox has removed my Yahoo mail and other settings. Why? How do I get them back? It gives me a screen that says go "here" but nothing happens.

Before the latest update, I used Firefox almost exclusively. Now that the new version has removed, or hidden, my entire Yahoo settings and pages, I can't use Firefox at all.

hello, how to restart firefox into safemode is described in the link i've provided in my prior answer.
other users also had problems with yahoo mail when they were using the ghostery addon - do you have it installed too by any chance? if so, add an exception for yahoo mail: click on the ghostery icon while you're in yahoo's webmail, choose "edit blocking options" & then don't block on this domain...

  • I just upgraded to firefox 6 and now cannot connect to the internet. IE still works fine but firefox won't connect. Any suggestions on how to get the new firefox to connect to the internet?

I just upgraded to ff 6.0.1 via an automatic push. Since then, ff hasnt been able to connect to the internet. Error message:
Firefox can't establish a connection to the server at www.google.com.Firefox can't establish a connection to the server at www.google.com.
IE has no trouble connecting to the internet.

After upgrading, your firewall may not be recognizing the new Firefox version and is not allowing it access to the internet. On your firewall progam's allowed applications list, remove Firefox, then re-start Firefox, try going to a website, your firewall will detect the new version of Firefox, then give the permissions needed for Firefox to have internet access.

  • I need blacks law disctionary digital plug-in to work with my browser, because it doesn't work any other way with any other browser, the new firefox is incompatible, so can I go back to the old firefox?

I really wish internet providers wouldn't change things so much that your current software can't keep up. Black's Law Dictionary is the only authoritative source for legal terms and it's not free or on a website. The digital version (the only way to keep from carrying around a 5 lb book) is an add-on feature that previously worked with Firefox. It's supposed to work with all browsers, but the browsers have all been changing so much. If I would have known that my blacks-law plug in would be disabled until Firefox becomes compatible again, I would have never upgraded. Tell me how to go back to my old version, so I can finish my research in peace, until you guys get serious about making products that work for people BEFORE you release them.

Try using the Add-on Compatibility Reporter extension to "force" compatibility of that add-on.
    https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/add-on-compatibility-reporter/
You really need to contact the developer of that Burke's Law add-on and find out why they can't keep that add-on up-to-date with the new Firefox versions. IMO, if they are using a web browser as the interface for their product and are charging you for that service, they have an obligation to their customer's to keep their stuff fixed for the 2nd most used browser in the world.

  • I won't put firefox 5 until it will let me have my google toolbar which the new firefox won't let me have

Don't you stupid people get it? People that like their google tool bar can't have it with the new firefox 5 Just fix that and then maybe Ill stop getting pop ups asking me to change it to 5 where it won't let me have my google toolbar. Just fix it and I'll gladly upgrade because 5 is a downgrade

Google decided that they will no longer produce the Google Toolbar for Firefox beyond Firefox 4. Future versions of Google toolbar will only work with IE7-9. Google Toolbar is not available on any other browser, even Google's own browser.

Hmm that does sound a bit strange - I use a system quite similar to yours (XP, FF 3.6.3), and don't see this behaviour.
I would recommend trying to start Firefox in Firefox [[Safe Mode]] (make sure you close '''all''' running Firefox instances first), and see if this problem persists.
If not, it could be some add-on causing this behaviour - restart Firefox in Safe Mode, disable all add-ons, and enable them one by one to find the guilty one.
If it still happens in Firefox Safe Mode, some other program (or something in Windows itself) most likely is the cause. We may be able to help with this too, so let us know what works and provide as much additional information as possible to let us help you solve this.
Please let us know how above works out, and if we can be of further assistance. Detailed feedback is appreciated and helps us to help you better, plus enables us to better help other users with similar issues.

Hmmm...  So you upgraded Firefox and now neither Firefox or Safari will work?  Very weird.  I have no idea what might have gone wrong.  That said, when things start acting wierd, I always try a bit of maintenance first.  About 95% of the time, I luck out and it works.
I use the free program Onyx.  I run all the clean up routines.  Then I boot to the recovery partition (Lion) or the OS X Install Disc and repair permissions and verify/repair the hard disk.
    Hope this helps.

  • HT2523 How do I add shadow to the title of a document while in Pages? For instance: NEW YEAR'S NEEDS. I'm also at a loss to know how to create a folder for certain types of documents such as "Sermons" or "Lessons."

How do I add shadow to a title, such as, NEW YEAR'S NEEDS, while in Pages? I also don't know how to set a new folder for documents of the same type such as, "Sermons," or "Lessons." Any help will be greatly appreciated.
    Donnie

Yes, I very well may be over thinking this, but I tried duplicating and moving it, but the text distorts slightly, which can be mostly remedied by rotating it on the x-axis, although the light is still off. And the shadows and reflections are not visible - this is pic1... In pic2, I used "rotate 3d object" with the green and red arrows,  instead of just sliding it up the y-axis using the coordinates in the scene tab. Using the green and red arrows to move the text preserved the reflections but the shadows now aren't visible. It was also hard to align the text perfectly in scenario 2. Thanks for the help

  • Firefox is trying to update my 8.0 version to 9.0.1. I'm not ready to do so because the Norton Toolbar is not yet compatable with the new Firefox release. How do I get firefox to stop trying to update every time I open the application?

Firefox is trying to update my 8.0 version to 9.0.1. I'm not ready to do so because the Norton Toolbar is not yet compatable with the new Firefox release. How do I get firefox to stop trying to update every time I open the application?

This reads backwards, It is the other way as "Norton update is compatible with Firefox 9".

When I downloaded the new Firefox about a week or two ago all my bookmarks, and add-ons disappeared and I want you to give them back to me asap?

You shouldn't wait that long to ask advice. Firefox only keeps a (rotating) backup of bookmarks for the last 5 days that you started Firefox. So you may be out of luck.
You can check that you still use your old default profile that had your bookmarks.<br />

The Firefox icon is the default feature for Windows Vista and 7 only, it does not apply to Windows XP users.
To have the Firefox icon instead of the Menu Bar:
View > Toolbars and UNCHECK the Menu Bar.
After that, click on the Firefox icon and you'll have the Menu Bar appear again.

  • Will I loose my open tabs that I need to be open if I update to the new FireFox?

I have many open tabs of tasks that I need to attend to or need readily available all the time.
If I update to the new Firefox will I loose all my open tabs?

Right-click one of those Tabs and select '''Bookmark All Tabs...'''. That way if anything happens to those tabs you can reload them all by a right-click on the folder that those tabs were saved to and using '''''Open All in Tabs'''''.
