The New Flash Player Is Downloading Flash 9.0
I have downloaded Flash Player 10.1 & the link is downloading 9.0. Why hasn't anyone fixed this problem in the link?
The answer is actually Yes & No... The new Flash Player works on FireFox. It, however does NOT work with Windows. I am not apposed to using FireFox. I just don't understand why they couldn't fix the problem with Windows.
So in summery, I will use FireFox.

After downloading, you need to run the installer.

If Flash Player is installed in your machine, it will give you the version number.

I tried playing a you tube video, but received a message prompt to download the latest version of Adobe Flash Player. The link to Adobe stated that there are issues with MAC OS X 10.7 and Flash Player 10.3. The new version did not download. Any Suggestion

I am haveing a frustrating time with my Imac, bought at christmas this year, just this week the mouse has started to freeze while trying to move the pointer, If i lift the mouse off the surface and hold if for a couple of seconds I can then put it back down and pointer can be moved another short distance, the scroll function on the mouse works all the time though, replaced batteries, turned computer off and on a number of times, no luck.

JamieIt's best to focus on one issue at a time ... the Adobe Flash and mouse issues probably are not related.
Flash:
Uninstall Flash, reboot, and install new from Adobe.
Uninstall: http://helpx.adobe.com/flash-player/kb/uninstall-flash-player-mac-os.html
Install: http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/
If that doesn't fix it, download Chrome from https://www.google.com/chrome . Chrome has an integrated version of Flash, which is a good test to see if Flash is the root issue or not.
Mouse: If what you describe is repeatable, take the mouse into an Apple store and see if it's the problem. If it is, it's under warranty, get a new one. -

On opening google I get the message:"WARNING! Your Flash Player may be out of date. Please update to continue" - on clicking ok I am diverted to Flash Player Pro download site?? Is this a Adobe product? And why even though i have the latest flash player version I repeatedly get the message?
This is not a message that Adobe is providing, and I recommend that you not click on the link. It sounds as though you might have malware on your computer.

You really don't need to do "secure Empty Trash." Just empty the Trash. If you don't have permission to access some items that means you shouldn't be trying to delete them or you are trying to delete a file you don't own.
If your external drive is used only on your Mac, then it should not be formatted ExFAT. It should be prepared as follows:
Drive Partition and Format
1. Open Disk Utility in your Utilities folder.
2. After DU loads select your hard drive (this is the entry with the mfgr.'s ID and size) from the left side list. Click on the Partition tab in the DU main window.
3. Under the Volume Scheme heading set the number of partitions from the drop down menu to one. Click on the Options button, set the partition scheme to GUID then click on the OK button. Set the format type to Mac OS Extended (Journaled.) Click on the Apply button and wait until the process has completed.
4. Select the volume you just created (this is the sub-entry under the drive entry) from the left side list. Click on the Erase tab in the DU main window.
5. Set the format type to Mac OS Extended (Journaled.) Click on the Security button, check the button for Zero Data and click on OK to return to the Erase window.
6. Click on the Erase button. The format process can take up to several hours depending upon the drive size.
Try restarting the computer. Then again try to Empty the Trash. Do you still get the error? What are you trying to delete? -

Problem is caused by version detaction javascript.
In AC_OETags.js file, there is ControlVersion() function.
Inside of that function,
axo = new ActiveXObject("ShockwaveFlash.ShockwaveFlash.7");
this line throw error with catching but do nothing.
So, overall javascript recognize flash player as version 2.0
and something.
I testd this on firefox 2.0.0.4 and IE 7.0.5730.11.
There are all Korean version and failed.
But Safri beta version for Window works fine.
This does not have any Korean version yet. That's why I
assume maybe
that's causing the problem.
So, I guess Adobe people will do something for this, but if
you want to
run it right now without this error message.
Easiest way is just turn off that Flash player version
detection in
project properties > Flex Complier > HTML wrapper.
Uncheck Require Flash player version.
Or edit your Javascript by yourself in
html-template>AC_OETags.js.

Apologies for the slightly pedantic answer, but in application terms, "closed" and "quit" are two different things. An application such as Safari can have several windows open, and each of them can be closed using the red button in the corner.
However, even after all windows are closed, the application is still running until you specifically quit it. You can tell it's still running by the small light under its icon in the Dock. If you hold your cursor down on the icon for a few seconds, you should see a pop up menu with the "Quit" option - click that to quit it. Or, click the icon once (this may launch a new window), then either go to the Safari menu and click Quit, or click cmd-Q, to completely quit the app.

Flash updater asked if I wanted to install update. I said yes. It installed Flash + McAfee. I do not want McAfee. I have Norton. I uninstalled McAfee. Every time I close Chrome and reopen it, Flash automatically downloads and wants to install. I have to go to my downloads folder on C drive and delete it. It has done that 22 times. I tried the solution I found on your site where you run a batch file. It did nothing to help. Rebooted. Flash still downloads. I think this is a bug because I have used Flash for as long as it existed and never had this problem before. It is driving me crazy and I want it to stop. What do I have to do to get rid of this incessant downloading?
I did go to Control Panel a few minutes ago and told Flash Player to NEVER download. Made no difference. Closed Chrome, reopened and here came Flash., downloading once again.

You can check the Flash Player Plug-ins installed in Google Chrome by typing “chrome://plugins/” in the address bar.
Google Chrome has Flash Player already installed in it called as PepperFlash. The location is: “C:\Users\bgupta\AppData\Local\Google\Chrome\Application\25.0.1364.152\PepperFlash\pepflash player.dll”
The another separate plug-in location is: “C:\Windows\SysWOW64\Macromed\Flash\NPSWF32_11_6_602_171.dll”
Check if you have both of them enabled. If so, you can disable one installed along with Google Chrome.

Go to the link below. You will have an option to Uncheck McAfee installation.
