The new ichat coming out

Hey everyone! I have the normal most recent ichat; but i saw that preview for the new one. Doe anybody know if it wil be compatible with my Mac OS X 10.4.7?

Hopefully the brains at Cupertino will fix the bugs in iChat 3 before releasing the newer version. What's the point in making a new version, when many users still are experiencing difficulities with the old one?

    I can only echo what Pogo says about buying based on what it does today.
    3 weeks ago I bought a Mac Mini. A new Mac Mini model has been rumoured to come out anywhere between the same week I made my purchase and the end of August. None's been released as yet.
    I wanted one in the week of June that I bought mine so I bought it based on the fact that it did what I wanted and I couldn't imagine anything which could be added that I'd want - my MacBook Pro doesn't have Thunderbolt so the most likely addition isn't really going to be much use for me.
    Basically you have to buy what you what based on what's out at the the time.
    I can promise that within seconds of the iPad3 being released, the web will be full of rumours about the next one!

    I heard that it is this Friday (21.5 ")  But who knows for sure.  I am really dying to see it and see if it is truly 75% less reflective.  The only reason I don't have a mac is because of the reflective/mirror screens. I just cannot work on them. I am praying that the claim of 75% reflective is very obvious.

    I want to buy a new iMac but I'm not sure if I should wait to get the next revision.  Are they coming out soon?

    History has shown us this for the last several iMacs...
    21.5" and 27" was introduced in October of 2009
    The next revision was July 2010..
    You should be able to see the pattern from above. If you look back further for different models you will find other similar patterns.
    We never really know for sure until Apple releases the next version.

    I am just curious as to when the NEW UPDATE will come out to fix all these bugs still occuring on my iPod 4th Generation! Runs so slow! It lags! It crashes almost every app! I have restored! I have resetted everything! Its still the iOS 5 thats messing things up! So I want this new update to fix every bug that it can so far cause im sick of it all! It doesnt let me know when i get my text or show notifications menu, it lags, it freezes, just so much more! I am sorry for my complaining but its just getting me frustrated enough already!

    They are still on stage talking about the new iPhones. They haven't announced the dates yet. That will probably be toward the end of the 5S segment. Hold on and someone will post it.
    They announced earlier that iOS 7 will release on 9/18.

    Does anyone know if all files including software that I have downloaded to my current Mac; will they be erased? I am planning on requesting a copy of the new OS. Will my software installed such as MS office, Xcode, netbeans, matlab be erased??? I would like to know because i dont want to re install everything again.

    no it won't delete your programs or files.......
    to be in the safe side however, it's best to backup your files...

    T431s is based on Intel's 2012 platform (Ivy Bridge).  It is Lenovo's first ultrabook with a docking connector.  T431s is not technically part of "this year's refresh".
    You can assume there will be a complete refresh of all systems when Intel's 2013 platform (Haswell) is released.
