The new iPad and iMessage
Hey guys, I was just wondering, is there any way that i can message a non iOS user from my ipad 3 in iMessage? In this situation a Samsung galaxy S3?
My colleagues and I are also seeing this problem across our iPads and iPhone 4/4S. I've tried various knowledge bases but nothing seems to get it working again

how do you transfer Apple IDs from one ipad to another iPad? I got the new ipad and gave my ipad 2 to my wife who had the first version and now I can't get my Apple ID off so she can use her Apple ID.
You don't transfer Apple ID's from one device to another one. You sign out in the settings, )the App Store and iTunes if necessary) and then sign in with the other ID.
Settings>iTunes & App Stores>Apple ID>Sign out. Them sign in with the other ID. You can sign out of the app store and iTunes as well by going to the featured Atab in the App Store and the music tab in iTunes, swipe to the bottom and access the Apple ID in there.
You should have erased the iOad before you gave it to her in Settings>General>Reset>Erase all content and settings. That way she could set up the iPad as new with her own Apple ID.
Be aware of the fact that if you use each others ID's in order to download past purchased content to your own iPads, you will lock yourself out of your own ID as you will have associated your iPad with the other person's Apple ID.
In other words, if you sign into your wife's ID on your iPad so that you can download an app or an album so that you don't have to pay for it again, you will lock yourself out of your Apple ID for 90 days. -
I have the new IPad and can't connect via bluetooth to any of my apple devices (IPhone 4s and appleTV) neither from my new IPhone 4s. When I turn the Bluetooth on, both devices keep in searching mode... I don't know what to do now... Please help... I can't pair any device because they can't find whitin themselves.

Well, turbo.264 is indeed very nice to have - even for converting full-sized movies. All H.264 files (assuming they are H.264 level 4.1 or lower) are compatible with the built-in Videos app.

It entirely depends on your needs. The top players (AVPlayerHD / ProPlayer, It's Playing, GoodPlayer) all have different strengths and weaknesses. I myself use It's Playing the most as I convert everything into MP4 and simply love the DSP's (brightness / volume / saturation boosting). (Its software decoders are definitely worse than those of AVPlayerHD / ProPlayer; however, MP4's are played back from hardware.) -

When I updated my iPad 3 and iPod Touch 4th generation to iOS 6 a few months back, I was able to update the iPad effortlessly over WiFi. but I kept getting error messages when trying to update the iPod over WiFi, so I used iTunes on my MacBook Pro.
Connect the iPad to the computer, launch iTunes. Select the iPad under the devices heading on the left, click on the Summary tab and then click on Check for Update
If you are using iTunes 11, go to View>Show Sidebar at the top - so the sidebar is visible. -
After updating ios6 I can't access my downloaded iTunesU videos anymore. They come up in search but video app says 'no videos'. I have the new iPad and the latest version of iTunesU. How can I get the video app working with the iTunesU again?
I have a similar problem with ITunesU, I used to be able to access them from my car dock, but now they dont appear and the fwd/back buttons on the steering wheel wont affect them.
It seems taking them from ITunes into their own app has confused many other applications or dock connectors. Im going to try and remove the ITunesU app as I dont want to have lost the extra functionality -

I've rescently purchased The new ipad, and since my wifi hasnt been working with my iphone 4s i didnt expect the wifi to last long on the ipad either, so im thinking of purchasing a new router, what would be the best one for these two products? i also own 2 computers
I love the linksys E4200 ! Its awesome and has a very good rating plus it's top of the line ! It runs just as fast wireless as it does on cat5 ! It's a little pricey but well worth it ! You would not be disappointed.

I will start doing a layout for a publication with two renditions (for Ipad1 and 2, and for the new ipad).
I have read the document

It recommended creating an Indesign document of 1024x768 pixels and working with images in high and low resolution in different layers to then pass them to Folio builder for renditions of 2048 with high ones and 1024 with the low ones.
I just worry about making two versions of the named "pass-through overlays"? (video, image sequence, panorama and pan / zoom).
And what about the slideshows? This content is resampled although you use the PDF image format.
If I'm working on a document of 1024x768, and the states of object include text, will be pixelated when fit to the 2048 size in the rendition?
I would greatly appreciate a response as soon as possible. I do not have one of the new iPads and am afraid I will not be able to see the result.
Thank you.What is your worry about making two versions of the pass-through overlays? As long as you put each version (SD and HD) on a separate layer, and then turn the layer off/on appropriately when adding the InDesign document to the appropriate SD or HD folio you'll be fine.
Similarly, with the resampled overlays, you can if you choose make two versions of the overlay on separate layers, one for SD and one for HD, to ensure the resolution image you want is used for each version. In practice you only really have to do this if you have text in the image somewhere. For straight image content without text you can, generally speaking, put the high-res asset in and let InDesign resample it down to SD for you when adding the InDesign file to the SD folio.

Thanks a lot ..You don't need to charge it before first using it, it should already be at least partially charged. Otherwise this page just says :
For proper reporting of the battery’s state of charge, be sure to go through at least one charge cycle per month (charging the battery to 100% and then completely running it down).
Mine takes between 5.5 and 6 hours to charge from empty up to 100% -
HT1665 does the smart cover fit on both the new iPad and the iPad 2?

Mohammed Madoohit depends on when you bought the smart cover -Apple changed the polarity of the magnets on the new iPad - Smarcovers bought in late 2011 or 2012 should work - those bought before then will not - for awhile Apple was offering exchanges for free on smart covers that dont work on the new iPad - dont know if they still are - you can call an Apple store or Apple online
