When I try to open FF4 I get the message it can't be opened because it is not supported on my architecture. I can't believe no-one else has had this problem. I have upgraded from firefox 4 to firefox 5 and now it crashes and will not open at all just produces an error box to submit the fault. I have submitted and now cannot use firefox at all cannot open it cannot use it cannot do anything with it.

I have this problem with Firefox 5.0 too. You are forced to reboot when access to 5.0 is denied. I had so many problems with 4.0 as well. I am so tired of the crashes and seeing that popup window to send your comments, it is ridiculous. I also find in 5.0 that mouse controls are fruitless and sometimes take over. The pages will jump forward or back, the pull down menus do not function, clicking boxes in online email don't work and pages will zoom in or out by themselves. I have three computers with different operating systems that this happens with. All these updates by programmers are crap. I thought I set firefox to not update automatically, since updates seem to be worse than the previous version, but it happens anyway. I will surf for an older version or switch to something else. Too bad because after 10+ years, they are losing my loyalty.

If it is good in the Firefox SafeMode, your problem is probably caused by an extension, and you need to figure out which one. <br />

As newer iPhones and iOS versions are made, apps start to drop support for the older versions of the iOS. It looks like you have fallen victim to this. I commend you for sticking with the original iPhone until now, but it looks like it's time for an upgrade if you want to use apps that have dropped support.

I'm in the same boat: new to OS X and Mac, and in the middle of a book. I switched because I heard about the the ease of using Mac, but so far, for me, it's been a nightmare. I bought 2011 Office Mac and hate everything about it, the most recent being the inability to open or cut or paste any of my original word files. I understand that this could have easily been done with earlier versions, but not Mountain Lion (which I learned is what OSX is.) Since I work with language, I am amazed at the assumptions of the Apple community. It helps to use common language and explain even the basics.

Ok people after messing up three days with my jailbroken ipod touch cauze my itunes didn't recognize it i figured out that the problem is first windows recognized it as a imaging device o as a camera, i found in the device manager was listed mi apple ipod under portable devices and there was the problem it has to be listed under universal serial bus controllers named as a apple ipod so this is what i did but first make sure u have correctly installed itunes and the apple mobile device support:
1 open the device manager or windows button + r is run and then type devmgmt.msc
2 look for the portable devices and find the apple ipod or wherever that is listed on your pc.
3 once u find the apple ipod do a right click on it and click on uptade driver software
4 take the manualy opcion or browse on my computer and then look for this folder on your computer C:\Program Files\Common Files\Apple\Mobile Device Support\Drivers
there should be the driver that itunes recognize and your windows wont recognize your ipod as a camera again but i repeat u have to make sure u have installed the apple mobile device support u can get it by extracting the itunes+quicktime package using winrar. so click on update or next what ever on the update process and next time itunes will open your ipod for sincying thanks to forums ilounge.com

I Install the new software, with videos up to 400Mb(movies) doesn't work, the ipod stop, freeze the movie and restart in the same frame without audio. I have other 5th generation iPod but he have 30GB and it works perfecly for this i say that problems bring with the 60 Gb, i don't know why.

I too had the same problem with my 60GB after the firmware update. My install CD, however, had V1.0.
You don't have to go to some retailer and try to get them to bootleg you a copy of the correct installer.
You friends at Apple already have this installer hosted for you and it's available for download right on their download's page. If you have any questions or problems, post back to me and I'll see what I can do.
