The next step i`m given i Thats my problem, I do`nt have Wi-Fi!

Hi guys and thanks for your replys. But! my problem is when I first start up my Pad. I switch on, click on Language, then Country or Region, thats ok. The next step i`m given is, Wi-Fi Networks, choose a Network... Thats my problem, I do`nt have Wi-Fi! Am I being a numpty, do`nt answer that one, or have I purchased the wrong model of iPad??????????????????

The iPad has 3 possible modes of operation.
1. Connected to your computer
2. Using wifi
3. If you have a 3/4G model, using cellular.
The iPad has very limited use without wifi connections. You need to get a wifi router and connect to your home computer system. There are some free wifi hotspots like Starbucks.

I would like to upgrade to the next step, but because I have many problems with the version 10.4.11, I'm worried that upgrading would create more problems.

Due to a misunderstanding with [email protected] in September of 2010, many of my applications and important files were put into the trash during a cleaning. The trash hadn't been deleted, so a CleanApp rep told me to drag my important files to a folder on my desktop. They were unable to help me with anymore advice with the exception that if I followed the pathway of the application, I could manually restore it to its proper location.
This was asking a lot of me because I didn't have the experience or knowledge of undertaking such a massive restoration. However, I did the best I could. What had been put in the trash was not just a few files -- there were hundreds of files or apps that I discovered in the trash. As I said, this was a misunderstanding. I was left feeling devastated at what had happened.
Since then, my iMac Intel Core Duo has been running on its last legs. I'm surprised I can even get to my email. As far as using the software that I bought with my iMac, I can't. I just do the basics.
What I have been wanting to do is to upgrade to the next level. However, I worry that if I upgrade a crippled OS X 10.4.11 Tiger, I would be creating more problems than what I already have. Do you agree that an upgrade would make matters worse?

It won't necessarily make it worse, but may not make it better. I am not familiar with the utility you usedm though anything that cleans or maintains your Mac should be avoided unless you know what you are doing and what it does. Probably re-installing software from the official sources (download or CDs) is the best way to ensure missing parts are all replaced.
If this is a core duo and not a core 2 duo then the highest you can go is Snow Leopard 10.6 Get more information about your computer. Go to the Apple in the upper left corner of any window, then "About This Mac", then "More Info..." Copy and paste the information here, but omit the serial number and Hardware UUID (if present).

Iweb - the next step

iweb is the best thing to happen to Internet web pages since DSL. The simplex methodology that iweb employs covers most users needs. Will the next step be duplex? That is, will we be able to have web visitors enter information (in a form or select from pull down menus)? With information on what the user wants, we should be able to modify what we display.
If this feature is already available, my apologies. I just can't find it. I don't want to detract from the tremendous power iweb provides to us non-web techies. But the next step would be nice.

You're right, it is exciting to think of what else might be possible given the tremendous step in the right direction that iWeb has been for most of us. I didn't know where to start with putting web pages up before iWeb...that was in Feb/Mar 2006 when I clicked on iWeb just out of curiousity... the rest is history!
The only reason I bought iLife'06 was for the iPhoto update! And now look ===> http://www.dirtdoog.com !!!
There are a lot of workarounds to make forms and drop-down and rollover menus outside of iWeb now. The possibilities are limited only by your imagination. Hopefully Apple can find a way to make more of these things accessible to us through iWeb in the future!

I am trying to restore a phone on iTunes, but the setup page doesn't go on to the next step. What do I do?

My iPhone 4S was stolen, so until I could get or buy another, I am using my husband's old 3GS. When I connect to iTunes, the left column recognizes the phone. Then I see the Setup page. It asks whether you have a new phone to add, or restore from a previous backup of my original 4S. I click restore from back up and click continue. It restores the 3GS, but the page doesnt move on to the next step. I have restored multiple times. The page/screen stays the same. What should I do? Am I doing something wrong?

You could follow the instructions in the support document that you linked from. There is a section regarding the passcode and the inability to use it or enter it. However, you may encounter more issues since you cannot use the screen.

I have learned ABAP and now it is time to use it to write SAP programs. But what is the next step?
From where can I get information about SAP tables to proceed?
I have 2 ABAP books but they only provide the syntax for ABAP. After learning that, I am finding trouble in knowing on which objects/tables to apply it on.
For example, I want to know that when I use the CV01n to create a file, what happens in terms of internal SAP tables?
If I select multiple files in the search result "CV04N" which table should I access to get these selected files?
Basically does anyone know where I can find such resources in order to understand how to proceed in developing SAP application ?

For Learning the Business part of ABAP, (That is what is missing for you i.e the tables and their relations), i would suggest you to take one module at a time.
Like MM(Material management) or SD(Sales and distribution) etc.

Time machine needs its own partition to operate. So you are not going install a OSx Lion on that volume.
If there is enough room you may be able to partition the drive on the fly with DiskUtility
Are you saying you clean installed Lion and you are trying to move your user Data over with TM via the migration Assistant? Please explain.

Rebuilding iTunes Library...What is the next step ?

I tried follwoing your advice.
I can do the Ctrl-A to select all songs in the iTunes libary.
I can right-click and select Delete,
but when I do, I do not get the 3 options that you mentioned
(Cancel, Keep Files, and Move To Recycle Bin)
I get a dialog box stating:
Are you sure you want to remove the selcted songs from your iTunes library?
These songs will also be remove from any iPod or iPhone which synchronizes with your iTunes library.
Why am I not getting the options you stated above ?
I have seen you oprions on a Mac at best Buy, but I am running an HP laptop under Vista Home Premium.
Then has a Remove or Cancel button to be clicked.
If I follow through with the above, will it wipe out my music library ?
How do I go about rebuilding the databse ?

Sorry DaleB, I have redone my library so many times, I forgot about this prompt. Just click 'yes'/'remove' to that question.
Reloading the library will only make your iPod resync again, thats all.

A related issue.
I made a copy (backup ?) of the Music folder in Windows Vista Home Premium 32-bit OS, to my Desktop. If something corrupts the Music in iTunes, will this be a "good enough" backup to be able to restore the music by moving it back into the Music folder, or will soemthing be missing ?

What is it you want to do? If you want to clear your library and start it over with the same media files already on your computer, the way you are doing it is both more work and dangerous (you could lose files accidentally if you hit the wrong button).
Assuming you backed up your library elsewhere, you will have an "iTunes Music.itl" file, or at least you do with XP. I am not sure if Vista works any differently. This is the file that is the database file that contains all the info about what is in your library, playcounts, ratings, etc. If you don't have that backed up somewhere else with your library, you should do that. If you periodically back up just that file, you can rebuild your library assuming the media files are not lost.
So to clear our your current library, simply grab the iTunes Music.itl file in your iTunes folder and drag it to the desktop or the trash. Open iTunes and you should now see a blank library. Close iTunes, you will find a new iTunes Music.itl file has been created (representing the new blank library. To restore your old .tl file, simply drag your back up copy and overwrite the newly created blank library iTunes Music.itl file. That's it.
Alternatively, you can File -> Import the .xml file that is also created and maintained by iTunes in the same folder as the iTunes Music.itl file. But Apple does state the XML file doesn't quite have everything contained in the iTunes Music.itl file, although it isn't clear what exactly is missing, at least not to me.

SXDB - record fields, -- what's the next step?

I want to generate a input file template for batch input of BOM by t-code: SXDB by the following steps:
T-code: SXDB --> input tansfer object: 30 ==> the follow the menu: goto: record fields --> input transaction code: CS01, then create a BOM... after that a BOM was created successfully, but I can't get a file format which met what I just recorded.
So, my question is, what's the next step after performing "record fields" in SXDB, how to generate a default input file template by t-code: SXDB?

Immediately after recording the BOM, you`ll be in the SHDB Screen. Now, you can save the recorded code to your report program, just download the same into a program.
You can thus create a new program and the recorded code is reflected there, now customize as per your need and start uploading data from flat file.

What's the next step after the rebate settlement running?

I had created the final settlement for the some rebate settlements via vb(7,so what's the next step for it? Is it going to be routed to the financial side for the next amount payment?Please advise.

You need to create a rebate credit memo request "Standard Document Type B1". It is created automatically while settling rebates.
Just check if any sales document of type B1 has been generated? Go to VBO2 under menu 'Rebate Payments' you will see 'Credit Memo Request', if you are able to click on the Change/Request that would mean rebate credit memo request has been created.
If not change the Agreement status in control data to 'B' and click on execute settlement. In the next screen enter the amount for which you want to create rebate memo and save.
This would generate rebate credit memo request if all customizing is correct. Either case you will get a message.
Now this credit memo request needs to billed as a normal sales order and if all SD-FI integration settings are correct this would also completes your rebate process.

The reason I'm learning Java is to get a programming job somewhere in the future. I'm in the medical field and I want to change careers. I always loved computers and technology!
I've browsed the job market in our country and a lot of them are looking for J2EE capable people. How do I make the transition to J2EE? Is there a good book available for learning it? How should I prepare next?

I haven't worked on EJB's since 2003. Nobody seems to use them. Some people are getting back into it now that it's EJB3 but nobody I know. Save EJB for last. Focus on JSP/Servlets, XML, JNDI, Web Services, maybe JMS...
