The node 'mysitename" is invalid.

Hello all - i am getting the following error in contribution mode when i click on the create link wizzard: (link to a section is trying to enable)
Unable to perform the action due to the following reasons:
[+] The node 'mysitename:' is invalid.
any ideas?

NodeId was altered in header code - once i saved it and then returned it in the header - the hierarchy populated no problem in the link wizzard.

  • Startup partition dies in the middle of booting, Invalid node structure?

    Hi! In the last few weeks, possibly since I last upgraded Lion and Safari, my iMac has been performing very badly. It's been sluggish, Safari and Finder repeatedly freezing and crashing/rebooting. Last night it escalated, and I launched Disk Utility to repair permissions. Ten hours later and no problems found. Not ten minutes later, the FInder crashes badly and I have to force a shutdown. When restarting, I get the grey progress bar, but it only reaches about 10%, then the hard drive whirrs and clicks a few times, and the computer shuts off. This happens every time I try to restart.
    So instead, I boot into the recovery partition, and launch Disk Utility from there. Repair disk says the boot partition has an invalid node structure and I have to backup and reinstall. Now, I do have a Time Machine backup (a few days old since I don't have my Drobo on all the time due to the noise it makes), but since it's 800 GB of data I'm a bit reluctant to commit to that, hoping there is a simpler/faster solution. I'll see if I can try Disk Warrior. Or do you think I'd be better off to just nuke the entire drive and start from scratch?
    The strange thing is that I have a Bootcamp partition with Windows 7, which works fine and actually can browse the files on the Lion partition. What does that mean? Can I use that to my advantage? If I do restore from Time Machine, will that affect my Bootcamp partition?

    Disk Warrior confirmed that there were problems, but couldn't repair the node structure, possibly because of bad blocks. Support at the local Mac store (we don't have Apple stores here) said I should just try reinstalling the system, so that's what I did. It didn't work the first time, but then I reformatted the partition and since then everything has worked allright. I have now restored everything from the TM backup (which took about a day). I'm now guessing that the whirring was not actually some mechanical problem with the drive, but on the other hand DW wasn't too happy about the drive, so maybe I still have to replace it? I'm using it now and it seems better than before, but I won't do any serious work on this computer until I have a new TM backup in place.
    (On that note, is it possible to "link" the restored system to the old TM backup that it was restored from? Or do I have to start over with a completely new TM backup, losing all the versioning of the old backup?)
    UPDATE: Just ran Disk Utility, which now reported an erroneous block count in a file. Crossing my fingers hoping it's nothing critical adn that DU can repair it ...

  • The file name is invalid.

    when I start iCal I get the message "The file name is invalid" I had the calanders syncing through dropbox so that my G5 and macbook air would be the same. and the iPhone just synced with the laptop... I wanted to sync with iCloud so I deleted the drop box folder they were loking for. The G5 finally restarted with a blank calander, no big deal. The Air just keeps thowing up the same message. I check the iCloud box for it but it will not stay checked. I have restarted a few times. I need to have the clander sart so I can add the iCloud account I think but i cannot get at the preferences.

    Hey ioannis,
    So I would recommend starting from scratch on this one and seeing if we can get things to work.  I would recommend following these steps:
    Make sure that you have access to port 80, which is what LabVIEW and the Web Server uses for communication.  This might mean turning off virus checkers or firewalls, as Altenbach suggested.
    Restart your computer.  This is to make sure that there isn't anything already accessing this port that is conflicting.
    Start LabVIEW once the computer is back up.
    Open the VI that you would like to publish.  I might recommend using an Example just to test, but you could use your program.
    Select Tools » Web Publishing Tool (WPT).
    On the bottom of the WPT window, press the Start Web Server button.
    Configure your VI as you would like.  You can probably just use the defaults for now.
    Select Save to Disk and replace the file if necessary.
    Hightlight the address that comes up in the Document URL window and press Ctrl+C to copy it.
    Open Internet Explorer and past the URL into the address bar on the development computer.
    These steps should be all that is necessary to use the WPT, so please follow them and let me know if they help or not.
    Thanks!

  • The service name is invalid (NET HELPMSG 2185)

    I tried to install the SAP Netweaver 2004s ABAP Trial Version on my PC (Vista).
    I went through the steps:
    1) Install SAP Management Console (sapmmc\sapmmcX86u.msi)
    2) Start the Installer (image\setup.exe)
    3) Start Application Server by selecting Start Application Server
    So far so good.
    I even could start the application server via http://localhost:8000/sap/bc/gui/sap/its/webgui?sap-client=000. And use SAP.
    Then I got on with Getting Started and installed SAP GUI.
    They recommended me to stop the application server thru
    Start u2013> Programs u2013> SAP NetWeaver 7.01 ABAP Trial Version u2013> NSP u2013> Stop Application Server
    This is where the trouble started.
    Since this point I get the following error everytime I try to start or stop the application server thru
    Start u2013> Programs u2013> SAP NetWeaver 7.01 ABAP Trial Version u2013> NSP:

       Most likely causes:

    The website is encountering problems.
    There might be a typing error in the address.
    Has anybody suggestions??

    Hi Kancho Kanchev,
    It seems that the path in the shortcut "Start Application Server" or in the "startSystem.cmd" file is not matching your instalation.
    1) Check the properties "Target" and "Start in" in the shortcut "Start Application Server" to see if the path's are compatible, below my installation:
    Target = D:\SAP\NSP\SYS\exe\run\startSystem.cmd
    Start in = D:\SAP\NSP\SYS\exe\run
    2) Open the "startSystem.cmd" (use wordpad) and check the path's again.
    D:\sapdb\NSP\db\pgm\dbmstart -d NSP
    D:\SAP\NSP\SYS\exe\run\sapcontrol -prot PIPE -nr 00 -host . -function StartWait 180 10
    3) If still dont work, you can execute each command manually (Start / Run / cmd - Change to same directory
    where the file "startSystem.cmd" is). At least you will find out wich command is generating the error.
    If you find out that the path is not matching you may have others problems, its possible that you installed
    the software in especific drive (i.e. "C") but during installation informed a diferent one in the parameters ("D" or "E"..).
    Hope it works and... suppose that "Mr. Guido Verbruggen" is the one who can offer the "10x" . Sry couldn't help you Guido...
    Nice Weekend to all.

  • Node Is Already Invalidated

    Hi all,
    I've coded something like this:
    lo_nd_generic->invalidate( )
    and I'm getting the error:
    Node Is Already Invalidated. DOC_TYPE
    The invalidation of the node is placed in an action handler and that's the only point I placed this invalidation.
    The node lo_nd_generic points to the node PO_HEADER and in my context the node DOC_TYPE is a childnode of PO_HEADER.
    Why am I getting the error above?
    Can anyone point me to the right direction?
    Thanks!

    Hi,
    I've found out that it's due to the FPM event loop.
    In fact the attribute I'm getting a dump on (DOC_TYPE) is being used in the IDR (Identification region of OIF). However the supply function should be invoked and all should be fine!
    Why isn't this happening?

  • Implementation of the hasProperties() method of the Node class

    The following snippet of code prints:
    false
    true
    which seems to be a bug.
    TextField nameField = new TextField();
    System.out.println(nameField.hasProperties());
    ObservableMap<Object, Object> props = nameField.getProperties();
    System.out.println(nameField.hasProperties());The implementation of the hasProperties() method in the Node class returns true, if the ObservableMap object for storing properties has been created. That is not what is expected from this method. I think, this method should also check if the ObservableMap has any properties.
    Can someone confirm that it is a bug?
    Thanks
    Kishori

    You can log it at http://javafx-jira.kenai.com and then, if the developers want to keep it the way it is (which they may for API compatibility purposes), they can at least document it so that a user would know what to expect without writing a test or making a potentially invalid assumption.

  • The dreaded: The network address is invalid error - SQL 2014 Cluster on Server 2012 R2

    Trying to setup an SQL 2014 Failover cluster on Windows Server 2012 R2 (two nodes). Every time I get to the assign a SQL server Network Name piece of the setup I get the following error message:
    The given network name is unusable because there was a failure trying to determine if the network name is valid for use by the clustered SQL instance due to the following error: 'The network address is invalid.'
    This happens whether I use the Advanced cluster installation procedures or the normal installation.  I have tried the following based on anything I can find on the web:
    1) Removed the clustered MTDTC role.
    2) Deleted the NIC Team (4 1GB NICs).  Deleted all but 1 NIC from the server device manager.
    3) Shutdown the second node.
    4) Lanman Server registry change posted someplace on this forum that does not stick on reboot
    None of the above, separately or in combination, has worked to allow SQL 2014 to be installed as a cluster role.
    There is no virtual machines added to the cluster.  This is not a VMware installation.  It is straight Windows 2012 R2 with a two node cluster (setup identically).
    Any ideas, suggestions, comments?
    Thanks,
    -Andrew

    Hi Alberto and Lydia,
    The cluster was verified, there are only warnings related to a lack of redundant network paths as the cluster verification doesn't recognize a team of 4 nics are redundant.  I updated AD to include the permissions detailed in the link Lydia provided,
    still no go.

  • Please help! Invalid node structure and invalid record count

    My MacBook Pro is about 6.5 years old. I upgraded to Snow Leopard 2 years ago and added RAM at the same time. My first problem ever occurred three days ago when my computer got super sluggish, I restarted and got the gray screen with apple and spinning wheel...no boot up. I ran disk utility from the snow leopard install disk and found "invalid node structure" and "invalid record count". After reading on here what to do...try to repair the disk and so on with no success I went out and bought Disk Warrior. Got home expecting to fix everything and Disc Warrior won't boot...I just get a file with a question mark and the disc is ejected. I tried erasing the hard drive but was only able to use the "don't erase data" option. Then I tried to reinstall Snow Leopard with no luck. Now I am stuck. Any ideas?
    One thing to note is I am to the point of not caring about the files on the hard drive, I was a dummy and never backed them up...lesson learned!  I just want my computer back without having to spend $1000+ for a new one. Then again I am always willing to do that too as a last resort.
    PLEASE HELP!

    When you contact Alsoft, make sure you let them know that you are using Snow Leopard (10.6.8).
    Try the following in the meantime -
    Disconnect all peripherals from your computer.
    Boot from your install disc & run Repair Disk from the utility menu. To use the Install Mac OS X disc, insert the disc, and restart your computer while holding down the C key as it starts up.
    Select your language.
    Once on the desktop, select Utility in the menu bar.
    Select Disk Utility.
    Select the disk or volume in the list of disks and volumes, and then click First Aid.
    Click Repair Disk.
    Restart your computer when done.
    Repair permissions after you reach the desktop-http://support.apple.com/kb/HT2963 and restart your computer.
    Try DiskWarrarior again if it's combatible with the os system.
    YOu cannot reformat until you get your issue corrected.

  • ITunes v10.6.1.7 "Copying files failed. The File name was invalid or too long."

    I'm trying to organize my music files using iTunes 10.6.1.7 and I keep getting the error message "Copying files failed. The File name was invalid or too long."
    I've got music folders by artist in both the iTunes Music folder and the iTunes Media/Music folder. When I add certain files by drag/drop they sometimes get lost and I don't want that to happen anymore. I used to just consolidate my music files using the File/Library/Organize Library option and that worked, however now when I do that, I get the error message.
    I'm a novice and the only online stuff I see is both confusing and refers to earlier versions of iTunes.
    My concern is that I have heard that people lose entire libraries of their music when they trry to fix things like this and I don't want that. If this is of any importance, I have several files called iTunes library and temp library. I have no idea what that all means but I'm scared to death of it.
    Also, I can't get to the "re-organize library" link at all. It won't let me.
    One thing that be of some interest is that when I pull up the properties of the music and media/music files they are marked "read only" I'm also afraid to touch that!
    Please help and please know that I am a dummy. Be kind and be clear. Step by step would be great, with images even better. Thanks.

    Perhaps nobody knows the answer? We're fellow users here answering questions in our free time when we think we've something useful to contribute.
    You can choose to *Consolidate selected tracks* with a right-click menu. Perhaps if you can identify a specific track that won't consolidate and examine the full path to the file & the path that iTunes would create when it consolidates the problem might become apparent. For example iTunes may not be able to move files if the source or destination path length exceeds 255 characters.

  • Can not create the node in Repository

    Hi,<br>
    I am trying to create a content node in BEA repository. But BEA is throwing following error:
    <i><b>Error creating Node: NODE NAME. Please verify the Node name size is within the Repository limits</b>.</i>
    <br>
    I have no idea why I am getting this error. I am creating node whose name is well under the size which is allowed by CM_NODE's node_name column. Have any one come across these kind of errors? Is there any place in portal administration where I can check for minimum/ maximum limits?
    <br>
    I really appreciate your help.
    <br>
    Thanks<br>
    Sanjay

    Hi All,
    After wasting significant amount of time, I finally found the real cause of the problem. In our application, we have some indexes on CM_NODE table. Those indexes were in unusable state. So instead of giving that error, weblogic server was giving some other error as mentioned in the previous post which resulted in lot of wastage of time. But after looking at jdbc.log file, things got cleared up. So once we fix the indexes, every thing worked fine. Too bad that portal administartion tool could not throw that exact error in debugging console.
    <BR>
    Thanks

  • Access the nodes data in a table view (generated by aet).

    Hi all ,
    I have created a table view in bp overview page.
    so it has created new component /ztable/zbol entity .
    Now how can i access the nodes of BP page..in the new component created?.

    thanks vishal ,
    but as per the thread,when we create table view using aet ,
    Table view in EHP1 CRM 7.0
    You dont need to worry about the component usage nor you need to create or handle anything like that for AET compoent for table extension. SAP has a special way to handle it in WD_USAGE_INITIALIZE of component controller for AET extension generated component so its nothing for us to do about it. Thanks to SAP
    so still i need to redefine..or can directly access the nodes in do_prepare_output.?

    When trying to update my Mail Account Mailbox Behaviours settings, after making the changes when I try to close the settings pane the following messages occur: Invalid Incoming Mail Server The “Incoming Mail Server” field cannot be empty. The incoming mail server box has in light grey colour: p02-imap.mail.me.com in it and I cannot edit its content. Any ideas what is going on and how to fix it?

    Hi all,
    Mattreichenbach is probably on the right track here with a reset of settings.  I think I've determined the issue has to do with cached account information and inconsistencies for the account name.  This seems to crop up when I've changed my password and it hasn't propagated fully to all the servers, devices, certificates, etc.
    Hopefully many here are on their way to restoration of service by now but it's clear that a lot of people are having the same issues.  Very frustrating and definitely something Apple needs to resolve:  incoming mail server field grayed out, incorrect autopopulation of different fields, other unanticipated behaviors.  If you're still having issues, though, here's what worked for me...
    First, head to the iCloud preferences pane in System Configuration and choose "Sign Out".  When I did this it prompted me with a number of "are you sure" type questions about retaining information on my local machine.  I chose to delete/remove the info each time simply because it should all be restored by the cloud and I didn't want to risk a massive duplication of my data... I will say, I'm back up and running with no issues so I suspect you can make the same delete/remove choices...  But use your own judgment.  I don't want you to lose any data (ie.. please use care as you do this because I cannot bear the thought of causing anyone to experience the pain of data loss).
    Once you've signed out of iCloud, restart your system.  When you get back in, head to the Mail, Contacts and Calendars section of your System Preferences and add your account back by choosing the brushed aluminum "iCloud" button.  When it asks for your account name, use your @iCloud.com email address.  I am all but certain my issue had started because one of my devices (iPhone or whatever) had been set up with an email alias specified instead of my @iCloud.com address.
    Apple, if you're reading through any of these issues (there are TONS of users having this same problem).  Take note, that your icloud service somewhat frequently is not responding and yet tells the user that the password is wrong and this prompts people to be changing their passwords unnecessarily.  This has happened to me on numerous occasions.  Also, I noticed that last week's outage corresponded to a VERY similar outage exactly one year ago to the day.  Sounds like planned maintenance to me and I think you could do a better job notifying folks so we're not wasting HUGE amounts of time troubleshooting a problem that we have no hope of fixing.
    Hope that helps some of you!

Can somebody please help me? I thought apple was suposta be easy to use :\

    This can sometimes happen because there is a missmatch between the billing address entered on your iTunes account and the billing address from your bank records.  See http://support.apple.com/kb/TS1646.

  • Problem with finishing install of Flash Player on a Mac. When finishing by entering the requested password, the dialog box jiggles as if the p/w is invalid. But it works in the Adobe site.

    I am trying to install Flash player on my Mac. All the steps are working as they should, until the point where I am asked to enter my password. I do this, and the dialog box jiggles as through  the p/w were invalid. However, it works to sign in to the Adobe site. I just changed it to be sure and checked again.

    There is no password required to download or install the Flash Player.  Chances are your Mac is requiring you to enter its password to allow the installation to occur.
