The Numbers Game Project

I purchased Logic Pro 9 from the store, not via CD or DVD.  I'm going through the "Exploring Logic Pro 9" document and have come to the chapter that uses "The Numbers Game" project file.  I cannot find The Numbers Game project anywhere.  The only demo project I can find is the one entitled "Foster The People". Is The Numbers Game project available for download somewhere or are we supposed to use the "Foster the People" project instead?

I doubt that the Numbers Game project is available to download legally anywhere. Just use the Foster project instead.

    Can somebody tell me where to find "The Numbers Game" demo project?
    Thanks

    Hi
    The Numbers Game demo material is only installed with the original Disk version of Logic 9. If you bought Logic from the AppStore, you will have Foster the People instead.
    You can get at the demo material via the Logic Help menu (Exploring Logic)

  • Getting Rid Of The Demo Project 'The Numbers Game'

    Literally just installed Logic, Im quite new to using it (had a few lessons last year at university) and I can't stop the Demo Project from loading every time I load the programme.
    Every time I try and 'close project' it still loads when I re-open logic.
    I have tried to delete the actual file and it still won't stop loading!
    Someone please help!

    Logic by default will open the last project you had open when you quit the program.
    That it keeps opening that demo project is a sure sign that you need to start actually working.
    @ Littlemiss: Next time, open Logic with the option/alt key pressed. Logic loads nothing then, you only see its menu bar. Choose the command File>New... . Now choose a template that looks interesting or familiar and: start working *AND Saving!* whenever youre not recording or editing you should be saving.

  • Deleted "The numbers game" how to retrive it without uninstalling Logic?

    Obviously, its somewhere on the CD's but is it possible to install just that without risking anything else?
    Or is there a download link on the web i missed out on? I deleted it before reading manual and wasn't sure that it was a good way to try the different functions described in the manual.

    Yep sorry, this project is installed from the Logic installer as Erik describes. The other projects are on the demo content DVD, I thought you were referring to one of those for a sec - memory fail

    I have updated my I pad dut I'm still having problems my iPad seems to freeze and when I go to put in my pin it take a few seconds before the numbers go in and my games stop and start and stop and start for a bit before they run properly

    Try this  - Reset the iPad by holding down on the Sleep and Home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons. (This is equivalent to rebooting your computer.) No data/files will be erased.

  • How to create a simple spot the difference game

    Hi everyone. I'm new to the forums and relatively new to flash, so bear with me
    I'm looking to do a very simple spot the difference game using flash CS3 and actionscript 2 for a school project.
    As it stands, I have 2 images on separate layers on a timeline in the same frame, which has been paused using the 'stop' command. I am looking to have around 4 differences that, when clicked, will be recorded at the bottom of the screen.
    The problem is, I am unable to find a way to get the differences recorded at the bottom in the order the user finds them, where each one is entered when the user clicks it, leaving gaps for those that haven't been found.
    Being only a basic user, I am only familiar with scenes and basic timeline controls, and i'm hoping there's a relatively simple way of achieving this. However I am perfectly comfortable with using more complex actionscript, having done some programming before.
    Thanks in advance,
    Laurence

    Thanks so much for all your help
    Just one last thing about the 'if' script you gave me, what do i replace 'somemovieclip' with if I've already definied the movie clips I want to be monitored? Also, do I put that script on the frame? If not, where? It just doesn't work properly at the moment (skips straight to the completion frame even though the movie clips are hidden at the start) and i'm not sure about those things ^
    Sorry to be of more trouble

  • Hi Experts! Clarififcation regardng the phases of project in real time

    Hi ,
    Can any body please explain the phases of project and thier details like wht all will be done at each stage in the real time since i am very new to tht kind of phases ..
    Please donot kindly send me any links for reference rather plz describe it in detail..
    Regards,
    Eshwant....

    Hi,
    Implementation processes:
    Project preparation
    The project preparation phase, depicted below, focuses at two main activities, i.e. to make a setup for the TSO and to define a solution vision. These activities allow an organization to put in on the right track towards implementation.
    Design and initially staff the SAP TSO
    TSO chart exampleThe first major step of the project preparation phase is to design and initially staff an SAP technical support organization (TSO), which is the organization that is charged with addressing, designing, implementing and supporting the SAP solution. This can be programmers, project management, database administrators, test teams, etc. At this point, the focus should be at staffing the key positions of the TSO, e.g. the high-level project team and SAP professionals like the senior database administrator and the solution architect. Next to that, this is the time to make decisions about choosing for internal staff members or external consultants.
    The image at the right shows a typical TSO chart.
    Craft solution vision
    The second project preparation job is to define a so-called solution vision, i.e. a vision of the future-state of the SAP solution, where it is important to address both business and financial requirements (budgets). The main focus within the vision should be on the company’s core business and how the SAP solution will better enable that core business to be successful. Next to that, the shortcomings of the current systems should be described and short but clear requirements should be provided regarding availability (uptime), security, manageability and scalability of the SAP system.
    Sizing and blueprinting
    The next phase is often referred to as the sizing and blueprinting phase and forms the main chunk of the implementation process
    Perform cost of ownership analysis
    Figure 5: Solution stack delta analysisThis phase starts with performing a total cost of ownership analysis (TCO analysis) to determine how to get the best business solution at the lowest costs. This means to compare SAP solution stack options and alternatives and then determine what costs each part of the stack will bring and when these costs will be incurred. Parts of the stack are for example the hardware, operating system and database, which form the acquisition costs. Next to that, there should be taken a look at recurring costs like maintenance costs and downtime costs. Instead of performing a complete TCO analysis for various solution stack alternatives that would like to compare, it can be wise just to do a so-called delta analysis, where only the differences between solutions (stacks) are identified and analyzed. The image at the right depicts the essence of a delta analysis.
    Identify high availability and disaster recovery requirements
    The next step is identifying the high availability requirements and the more serious disaster recovery requirements. This is to plan what to do with later downtime of the SAP system, caused by e.g. hardware failures, application failures or power outages. It should be noted that it is very important to calculate the cost of downtime, so that an organization has a good idea of its actual availability requirements.
    Engage SAP solution stack vendors
    Figure 6: Simplified SAP solution stackA true sizing process is to engage the SAP solution stack vendors, which is the next step. This means selecting the best SAP hardware and software technology partners for all layers and components of the solution stack, based on a side-by-side sizing comparison. The most important factors that are of influence here are the estimated numbers of (concurrent) users and batch sizes. A wise thing to do is to involve SAP AG itself to let them create a sizing proposal stating the advised solution stack, before moving to SAP’s technology partners/SAP vendors, like HP, Sun Microsystems and IBM. A simplified solution stack is depicted at the right, showing the many layers for which software and hardware has to be acquired. Note the overlap with the OSI model.
    Staff TSO
    The TSO is the most important resource for an organization that is implementing SAP, so staffing the TSO is a vital job which can consume a lot of time. In a previous phase, the organization should already have staffed the most vital positions. At this point the organization should staff the bulk of the TSO, i.e. fill the positions that directly support the near-term objectives of the implementation, which are to develop and begin the installation/implementation of the SAP data center. Examples are: data center experts, network infrastructure experts, security specialists and database administration experts.
    There are many ways to find the right people within or outside the organization for all of the TSO positions and it depends on the organization how much time it wants to spend on staffing.
    Training
    One of the most vital stages of the implementation process is training. Very few people within an organization are SAP experts or even have worked with SAP software. It is therefore very important to train the end users but especially the SAP TSO: the people who design and implement the solution. Many people within the TSO need all kinds of training. Some examples of these positions:
    SAP Network Specialists
    SAP Database Administrators
    SAP Security specialists
    Documentation specialists
    Et cetera
    All of these people need to acquire the required SAP knowledge and skills or even SAP certifications through training. Moreover, people need to learn to do business in a totally new way. To define how much SAP training every person needs, a company can make use of a skillset matrix. With this matrix, a manager can identify who possesses what knowledge, to manage and plan training, by defining the height of expertise with a number between e.g. 1 and 4 for each skill for each employee.
    Setup SAP data center
    The next step is to set up the SAP data center. This means either building a new data center facility or transforming the current data center into a foundation capable of supporting the SAP solution stack, i.e. all of the technology layers and components (SAP software products) in a productive SAP installation. The most important factor when designing the data center is availability. The high availability and disaster recovery requirements which should have been defined earlier, give a good idea of the required data center requirements to host the SAP software. Data center requirements can be a:
    Physical requirement like power requirements
    Rack requirement
    Network infrastructure requirement or
    Requirement to the network server.
    Perform installations
    The following step is to install the required SAP software parts which are called components and technological foundations like a web application server or enterprise portals, to a state ready for business process configuration. The most vital sub steps are to prepare your OS, prepare the database server and then start installing SAP software. Here it is very important to use installation guides, which are published for each SAP component or technology solution by SAP AG. Examples of SAP components are:
    R/3 Enterprise — Transaction Processing
    mySAP BI — Business Information Warehouse
    mySAP CRM — Customer Relationship Management
    mySAP KW — Knowledge Warehouse
    mySAP PLM — Product Lifecycle Management
    mySAP SCM — Supply Chain Management
    mySAP SEM — Strategic Enterprise Management
    mySAP SRM — Supplier Relationship Management
    Round out support for SAP
    Before moving into the functional development phase, the organization should identify and staff the remaining TSO roles, e.g. roles that relate to helpdesk work and other such support providing work.
    [edit] Functional development
    The next phase is the functional development phase, where it is all about change management and testing. This phase is depicted below.
    Figure 7: Functional development phase
    Address change management
    The next challenge for an organization is all about change management / change control, which means to develop a planned approach to the changes the organization faces. The objective here is to maximize the collective efforts of all people involved in the change and to minimize the risk of failure of implementing the changes related to the SAP implementation.
    The implementation of SAP software will most surely come with many changes and an organization can expect many natural reactions, i.e. denial, to these changes. To fight this, it is most important to create a solid project team dedicated to change management and to communicate the solution vision and goals of this team. This team should be prepared to handle the many change issues that come from various sources like:
    End-user requests
    Operations
    Data center team
    DBA group
    Systems management
    SAP systems and operations management
    Next thing is to create a foundation for the SAP systems management and SAP computer operations, by creating a SAP operations manual and by evaluating SAP management applications. The manual is a collection of current state system documentation, day-to-day and other regularly scheduled operations tasks, various installation and operations checklists and how-to process documents.
    Functional, integration and regression testing
    Testing is very important before going live with any system. Before going live with a SAP system, it is vital to do many different kinds of testing, since there is often a large, complex infrastructure of hardware and software involved. Both requirements as well as quality parameters are to be tested. Important types of testing are:
    Functional testing: to test using functional use cases, i.e. a set of conditions or variables under which a tester will determine if a certain business process works
    Integration testing
    Regression testing
    All tests should be preceded by creating solid test plans.
    [edit] Final preparation
    The last phase before going live can be referred to as the final preparation phase and is depicted below.
    Figure 8: Final preparation phase
    Systems and stress testing
    Another vital preparation activity before going live with SAP is systems and stress testing. This means planning, scripting, executing and monitoring system and stress tests, to see if the expectations of the end users, defined in service level agreements, will be met. This can be done with SAP’s standard application benchmarks, to benchmark the organization’s configurations against configurations that have been tested by SAP’s hardware technology partners. Again, a test plan should be created at first.
    Prepare for cutover
    The final phase before going live with SAP is often referred to as the cutover phase, which is the process of transitioning from one system to a new one. The organization needs to plan, prepare and execute the cutover, by creating a cutover plan that describes all cutover tasks that have to be performed before the actual go-live. Examples of cutover tasks are:
    Review and update all systems-related operations procedures like backup policies and system monitoring
    Assign ownership of SAP’s functional processes to individuals
    Let SAP AG do a GoingLive check, to get their blessing to go live with the system
    Lock down the system, i.e. do not make any more changes to the SAP system
    [edit] Go Live
    All of the previously described phases all lead towards this final moment: the go-live. Go-live means to turn on the SAP system for the end-users and to obtain feedback on the solution and to monitor the solution. It is also the moment where product software adoption comes into play. • LUMIERE created XML files to 'facilitate the migration of project in FCP.'

    I recently purchased Lumiere so that I could work with material shot on the JVC GY-HD100U camera in FCP. I understand that FCP is due to for an update soon, but alas, I'm unable to wait. That being said, I have followed the various steps to create mov files from the compressed MP2 files generated through Lumiere. The supposed last step before beginning the edit in FCP is to decide whether or not to 'create FCP XML' or not.
    1. What purpose does using XML files instead of the .mov files serve in FCP? It is an option in the import files drop down... What gives? For that matter why and what are xml files function here? Pretty Green, I know
    2. Can I edit using the custom 24p Apple Intermediate Codec I was told to create usinf the mov files instead, and then online, or convert the timeline to full resolution just the same using the mov files?
    3. If I am getting an error message when trying to import the XML files and am therefore unablr to do so... any ideas why? I had one file with 'acceptable errors'. The log read that there was a path problem with the audio files, which I was unable to fix. The other files would not import at all. Why?
    4. What is the best way/codec for editing HDV - outputing te best image resolution without a Xserve raid or the like...
    I know this probably reads like questions for a Lumiere forum, but I have tried and received no answers... Any insights appreciated, as my deadline is fast approaching.
    -Thanks
    Tom.

    Maybe this will help from the Lumiere HD forum on their site (http://www.lumierehd.com/forums/showthread.php?t=576) :
    720p EDITORIAL WORKFLOW USING JVC-GYHD100 AND FCP5.0
    By Jon Farhat
    CAPTURING AND EDITING
    JVC GY-HD100 720p > LUMIERE HD > FINAL CUT PRO 5.0
    Workflow Steps:
    1. Launch Lumiere HD and begin with the CAPTURE/PRINT tab.
    2. Enter your Logging information into the fields labeled REEL, DESC., SCENE and SHOT. The program with create a name for you based on this information and place it in the NAME field.
    3. You can also check AUTOINCREMENT. Doing this will create a Name based on the Scene Name and will add a Shot number starting with 1. Each time you capture a new take, the shot number will increase as well as appear as an extension to the file name as indicated in the Name field.
    4. Click on the DESTINATION button to choose a folder for your raw Transport streams. The files placed in this folder will have the naming convention, DESCSCENE1.m2t. Note that these files have the Audio and Video multiplexed together.
    5. Use the toggle controls to line find your desired take and back up a while to add a little pre-roll. (Note: LHD does not do Batch Capturing so you have to click the CAPTURE and STOP CAPTURE button for each take.
    6. Once you have captured all your takes and placed them in your working folder, click on the PROGRAM STREAM tab.
    7. Click on the DESTINATION button in the PROGRAM STREAM VIDEO area. When the navigation window opens, click on NEW FOLDER and create a folder called “Video”. Select OK to choose your new folder.
    8. Click on the DESTINATION button in the PROGRAM STREAM AUDIO area. When the navigation window opens, click on NEW FOLDER and create a folder called “Audio”. Select OK to choose your new folder.
    9. Now click on the SELECT M2T FILE(S). IMPORTANT NOTE: If you have used the Autoincrement function, or have sequentially numbered files, no not select the folder housing your m2t’s but rather drag select across all your takes, starting from the lowest number to the highest. Then click OK.
    10. Now you are read to split the raw m2t transport streams into a separate AIFF audio file, which will be placed in the Audio directory you created and and M2V video file which will be placed in the Video Directory. It is important that the audio files and video files are in these separate directories.
    11. Choose the PRESETS pull-down menu In the REALTIME TIMELINE CODEC window. Select OTHER.
    12. In the COMPRESSION TYPE Pulldown menu, select APPLE INTERMEDIATE CODEC.
    13. Select the FRAMES PER SECOND pull-down menu and select 23.98.
    14. Select the OTHER button in the COMPRESSOR > PRESET.
    15. In the SIZE section, choose the SOURCE button. Note that you can also create a smaller dimension such as 720 x 406 (16:9 aspect ratio) since this is only used as a proxy in FCP to edit with. But if you have the memory and speed, working in the full 1280 x 720 is preferable. These files will not be rendered into your final master. After you edit with this proxy codec, you will use Media Manager to build a new timeline from the full size raw capture images. It is on this new full-size timeline that you will color correct your movie as well. (Discussed later in this document)
    16. In the FINAL CUT AUTOMATION section, check the CREATE FCP XML box, and UN-CHECK the ANAMORPHIC box.
    17. Click on the AUDIO FILES? Button and either double-click on the AUDIO directory you created which houses your AIFF’s and then click OPEN or simply select the directory once and then click OPEN.
    18. Now click on the SOURCE button in the SOURCE/DESTINATION section. Open the Video folder which houses your de-multiplexed m2v video files.
    19. Click on the DESTINATION button in the SOURCE/DESTINATION section and select NEW FOLDER and call this “project name”_REALTIMES. This is where your .mov files which are compressed with the AIC (Apple Intermediate Codec) will be placed.
    20. You are now ready to hit the GO button. So, what are you waiting for, hit the GO button now!
    21. When the Quicktime settings dialog opens, confirm your SETTINGS, FILTER and SIZE settings under the VIDEO sections. IMPORTANT NOTE: Make sure to select the SOUND > SETTINGS button and change the SAMPLE RATE to 48kHz, 16 bit, Stereo.
    22. After Lumiere HD creates your file(s), another window will open asking you to input your XML FILE NAME. Do this then click OK.
    23. When you view your “REALTIMES” directory, you will notice that you now have matching files to your demultiplexed Video files. For instance, if your file was named, DESCSCENE1.m2t then then Realtime file you use for editing will be named DESCSCENE1.mov. The XML file will also appear in this destination directory.
    24. Open Final Cut Pro. Let’s start by creating a new EASY SETUP preset. (You will only have to do this one time since no Easy Setup setup exists for AIC 24p in FCP. From then on, you will start FCP and simply go to Easy Setup and select this Project Preset before you import your XML skipping to item 29 below) Select AUDIO VIDEO SETTINGS. Under the SEQUENCE PRESETS tab, select APPLE INTERMEDIATE CODEC 720p30 from the scrolling menu. Note that we are going to create a preset for 23.98 from this one by changing the frame rate. All other settings are the same as the 720p30 preset.
    25. Select the DUPLICATE button. In the SEQUENCE PRESET EDITOR change the NAME to “Apple Intermediate Codec 720p24” Go ahead and also change 30 to 24 in the DESCRIPTION text box.
    26. Confirm the following settings in the GENERAL tab.
    a. FRAME SIZE: 1280 X 720
    b. ASPECT RATIO: HDTV 720p (16:9)
    c. Make sure the ANAMORPHIC (16:9) box is UNCHECKED.
    d. PIXEL ASPECT RATIO: Square
    e. FIELD DOMINANCE: None
    f. EDITING TIMEBASE: 23.98
    g. TIMECODE RATE: Same as Editing Timebase
    h. QUICKTIME VIDEO SETTINGS: Apple Intermediate Codec.
    i. QUALITY: Desired setting based on your system capacity.
    j. AUDIO SETTINGS: 48kHz, 16-bit and a Default Config:
    27. Click OK, then select this new Preset once you return to the AUDIO/VIDEO SETTINGS dialog and then click CREATE EASY SETUP.
    28. When the EASY SETUP dialog opens up create type in the NAME field, “HDV-Apple Intermediate Codec 720p24” Enter a description and then click the CREATE button. Save in the CUSTOM SETTINGS pull-down menu.
    29. Let’s start by closing all open Projects and stay in FCP. It’s always good to have a separate 720p project for all your JVC HD-100 sequences. Select EASY SETUP and select your new “HDV-Apple Intermediate Codec 720p24” Of course you will still be in the basic program now with no Projects or Sequences, but your system is now configured to import the XML and the sequence presets will match perfectly. (Keep in mind we did all this to circumvent a bug in FCP5.0)
    30. Now go to FILE > IMPORT > XML and select the XML file you created in Lumiere HD. Select CHOOSE. When the IMPORT XML window opens, select the CREATE NEW PROJECT in the DESTINATION pull down menu. Make sure your DEFAULT is APPLE INTERMEDIATE CODEC 720p24. Make sure all buttons are checked, including OVERRIDE WITH SETTINGS FROM XML. You should be able to simply check this override box when importing into any open FCP session and create a new project with the XML settings once the bug is fixed in FCP.
    31. This will create a new project named after your XML, and a directory of all your real-time clips called “project name”_REALTIMES.
    32. You will also notice that the clip names do not end with .mov but rather end with .m2v. These names actually access the AIC compressed .mov files as this naming convention in the browser is simply a means to locate the uncompressed transport streams later with Media Manager once you have finished editing.
    33. Now you can start editing. When you drag a clip to the Timeline, the corresponding AIFF audio file will also travel with it and be locked to the Video. However, until Timecode sync is offered in LHD, you may need to re-sync via the Clapper slate as mentioned above. However, unless you are using very long takes, the sync is within fractions of a frame and isn’t perceptible.
    34. Edit away but avoid doing things like color correction or final rendering of effects until you are done with the need to work in real-time.
    35. Once you are finished editing, move to the next section.
    GOING ONLINE
    FINAL CUT PRO 5.0 > LUMIERE HD > JVC GY-HD100 720p
    CONNECTING ORIGINAL MEDIA: ONLINE OPTION #1
    1. Select sequence in your browser.
    2. Choose FILE > MEDIA MANAGER.
    3. Media Manager Settings:
    a. Media: CREATE OFFLINE
    b. Set Sequence to CUSTOM
    c. 1280 X 720
    d. Pixel Aspect Ratio: SQUARE
    e. Anamorphic Box: UNCHECKED
    f. Editing Timebase: 23.98
    g. Timecode rate: SAME
    h. Compressor: NONE or HDV720p30
    i. Audio: 48kHz, 16 bit, stereo default
    j. Project name: ONLINE 720p24
    k. Go to ONLINE 720p24 tab in the browser. Double click on the sequence. (Note: the is currently an issue in LHD’s XML function in that it will not transfer the REEL NAME to the clip. You will have to select all your clips to add the reel name, otherwise the the clips will not be made “Offline”. You can always right-click on the clip an select the MAKE OFFLINE function. )
    l. Save project name: ONLINE 720p24
    m. Go to ONLINE 720p24 tab in the browser and double-click on the sequence. (clips should be offline if the reel name is added in the brower.)
    n. Select all the clips in the browser in the ONLINE 720p24 sequence and choose RECONNECT MEDIA.
    o. Point to the original digital negative clips that you demuxed in LHD. (ignore mismatch warning and all your clips should reconnect.
    IMPORTANT NOTE: The above routine for going online worked will with FCP4 but now there exists a BUG in FCP5 in the Media Manager function.
    BUG REPORT: When doing an offline and choosing "based on clip names" (which are NAME.MOV), Media manage will add .MOV to the source name resulting in NAME.MOV.MOV.
    This is happening in FCP5. It never happened in FCP4. We've used this freature extensively before for online/offline editing workflow. The advantage of using clip name vs. file name in the browser is that you can edit a proxy and always keep track of its online version by naming the clip the same name as the online version. Now that it ads .MOV to the name, it's unusable - or you have to reconnect by hand rather than using hte "connect the clips based on relative paths" option.
    CONNECTING ORIGINAL MEDIA: ONLINE OPTION #2
    STICKING WITH APPLE INTERMEDIAT CODEC.
    For now, it is possible to stick with the Apple Intermediate codec when going online and back through LHD to the JVC HD-100. If so, choose NONE compression when exporting a Quicktime from FCP for use in LHD. However, the best case will be to use the above option #1 when Apple gets around to fixing their bug with Media Manager.
    Otherwise, you will have to reconnect all your clips to the original m2v’s manually to avoid the codec altogether.
    About the Apple Intermediate Codec
    The Apple Intermediate Codec is a high-quality video codec that Apple developed for use as an alternative to native MPEG-2 HDV editing in an HDV workflow. Instead of editing the MPEG-2 HDV data directly, you can capture video from the tape source and then transcode it with the Apple Intermediate Codec to optimize the video data for playback performance and quality.
    Working with the Apple Intermediate Codec is less processor-intensive than working with native HDV. Unlike MPEG-2 HDV, the Apple Intermediate Codec does not use temporal compression, so every frame can be decoded and displayed immediately without first decoding other frames. The drawback of this codec is that it requires three to four times as much bandwidth and hard drive storage space as MPEG-2 HDV.
    Data rates for the Apple Intermediate Codec are variable; the data rates and storage needed may vary slightly, depending on the complexity of your footage. Images with a lot of detail have a higher data rate, while images with less detail have a lower data rate.
    Format and Data rate
    MPEG-2 HDV 720p30……….2.5 MB/sec. (equivalent to 9 GB/hr.)
    MPEG-2 HDV 1080i60/50……….3.3 MB/sec. (equivalent to 12 GB/hr.)
    Apple Intermediate Codec HDV 720p30………. approximately 7 MB/sec. (equivalent to approximately 25 GB/hr.)
    Apple Intermediate Codec HDV 1080i50………. approximately 12 MB/sec. (equivalent to approximately 42 GB/hr.)
    Apple Intermediate Codec HDV 1080i60………. approximately 14 MB/sec. (equivalent to approximately 49 GB/hr.)
    Frame Aspect and Dimensions
    MPEG-2 HDV and Apple Intermediate Codec feature a 16:9 widescreen aspect ratio for all resolutions.
    The 1080i format features 1080 lines (1440 pixels per line), interlaced, using non-square pixels to display a screen ratio of 16:9 (equivalent to 1920 x 1080). The 720p format features 720 lines (equivalent to 1280 x 720) with a progressive scan.
    Color Recording Method
    Both MPEG-2 HDV and Apple Intermediate Codec HDV record a 4:2:0 component (Y´CBCR) digital video signal. Each sample (pixel) has a resolution of 8 bits.

  • Mystery numbers game array help!

    Hey guys thanks for taking the time to help me out. Im trying to develop this GameBoard class for a game but im having trouble using a for loop to generate an array of random numbers heres my code:
    import java.util.*;
    * CSC15 Spring 2008 - Lab Assignment G         Matt Mattson
    *              GameBoard class
    * This class provides the "Game board" for the Mystery Numbers Game.
    * It manages the mystery numbers to be guessed, process the guesses
    * the player makes and keeps a history of the guesses that have been
    * made.
    public class GameBoard
        private int boardSize;
        private int[] mysteryNumbers;
        private static Random randGenerator= new Random();
        private String guessHistory;
         * Constructor: initializes the size of the game board (how many
         *   numbers will be guessed), generates the mystery numbers to be
         *   guessed and initializes the history of the guesses made.
         * @param size is the number of numbers the player will be required
         *   to guess (a value in the range 3 to 5).
        protected GameBoard(int size)
            boardSize=size;
            mysteryNumbers= new int[boardSize];
            for(int i=0;i<boardSize;i++)
                int mysteryNumbers=randGenerator.nextInt(MysteryNumbersGame.BIGGEST_NUMBER)+1;
    }I get a '[' bracket error but im unfamiliar with this sysntax so can someone show me what im missing!

    You already told javac what type of variable mysteryNumbers is. No need to tell it again.
    for(int i=0;i<boardSize;i++)
                int mysteryNumbers=randGenerator.nextInt(MysteryNumbersGame.BIGGEST_NUMBER)+1;
    }should befor(int i=0;i<boardSize;i++)
    mysteryNumbers[i]=randGenerator.nextInt(MysteryNumbersGame.BIGGEST_NUMBER)+1;
    }Now you may have other problems too I don't know but that's your current issue.

  • I purchased a blu-ray of The Hunger Games and it came with a code for a digital copy. I redeemed the code on iTunes but the download has been continuing for 2 weeks now and it never finishes! The time just keeps going up. Never an issue in the past.

    I purchased the blu-ray of The Hunger Games and it came with a code to redeem for a digital copy. I redeemed the code in iTunes and the movie downloaded fine, but the "EXTRAS" have been downloading for 2 weeks! Everytime I launch iTunes it starts the download again and the counter keeps going UP, at one point it said it would take 3 weeks. I have paused and restarted the download, I have deleted the download, nothing works to finish or stop this download! Does anyone have a clue what's up?

    ps when syncing it jumps through steps 1 - 4 real fast, i seem to remeber iphone showing the number of tracks transferring and names, but i see nothing? then it sits on 5 saying "waiting for changes to be applied"

  • I can't close the Numbers spreadsheet anymore, nor navigate on it. I can open and close the App Numbers though. What can I do?

    Hi! I was playing around with my iPad and was opening and closing different Apps. Suddently the file I opened in Numbers got stuck. I can't navigate on it anymore, neither can I go back to the other Numbers files.
    Could you please advise, what I can do here.
    Thanks!

    Quit Numbers completely and restart the iPad.
    Go to the home screen first by tapping the home button. Quit Numbers by double tapping the home button and the task bar will appear with all of you recent/open apps displayed at the bottom. Tap and hold down on the Numbers icon until it begins to wiggle. Tap the minus sign in the upper left corner to close the apps. Restart the iPad.
    Restart the iPad by holding down on the sleep button until the red slider appears and then slide to shut off. To power up hold the sleep button until the Apple logo appears and let go of the button.
    Then try Numbers again.
