The "One Moment Please. Connecting to the iTunes Store. Loading..." problem

Here is the problem:
Recently, I changed the iTunes Store Country in my iTunes (for fun.) My default store is the US store. When I changed the country, it gave this problem.
I tried some solution available online, and rectified it. Now, I tried to change the country back to US. Again, I got the problem.
Now, I tried the same method I did before, but in vain.
I read through this forum and found that many have faced this already. I tried various proposed solutions but none worked.
Before I proceed, I remind you, PLEASE READ all the things I tried before giving a solution. I really don't want someone to post the same thing that I already tried, in vain.
Here is what I tried:
1) Deleted the "iTunesPrefs.xml" file in the "C:\Users\<Username>\AppData\Roaming\Apple Computer\iTunes" folder and relaunched the application. This DID NOT work.
2) I also tried this: Go to Edit>Preferences>Parental Controls. Disable iTunes Store AND enable iTunes U. Go to the iTunes Store. Then go back to the parental control preferences, and re-enable iTunes. This DID NOT work.
3) Out of desperation, I updated my iTunes to the latest version. No use.
So, can someone PLEASE give a valid solution to this problem?
If not, at least tell me if re-installing can correct this problem.
Any help is very much appreciated.

  • Solution to the "One Moment Please connecting to the iTunes store" Problem

Thought I would post this as a new topic because I see many people had the same problem as I do (did).
I kept getting the "One Momement Please connecting to the iTunes store" problem and could not figure out what was going on. I basically turned off everything I could think of "firewall, antivirus, antispyware, you name it and it still was not working.
Then I found in a thread the suggestion to delete my iTune preferences file. I did it and voila... all was fine.
So... here are the instructions. Do this first before you try anything else. It may save you A LOT OF TIME.
For VISTA the pref file is found at: C:\Users\+user name+\AppData\Roaming\Apple Computer\iTunes. Delete the file named "iTunesPrefs.xml", restart i-Tunes and it will reset all of you preferences. You will need to enable "show hidden folders" in Folder Options in the control panel as "AppData" will be hidden otherwise.
Hope this helps. I wished I'd seen it earlier.

Unfortunately deleting the iTunesPrefs.xml didn't work for me and others.
Try this. Click on Edit..Preferences...Parental Control and place a check mark in the box to the left of iTunes Store, also place a check mark in the box to the left of Allow access to iTunes U as well and then click OK.
Now go to the store. Finally, return to Parental Control and remove the check mark beside iTunes Store.
Hopefully you will now be able to access the iTunes Store without the dreaded One Moment please message.

  • When I open mac app store it stands: One moment please, connecting to the iTunes store.

And it's forever like this. Can't get into the app store! I have had this problem for 6 months now. Some help ?!?

Finally I found the answer on the internet. I needed to open Terminal and write three lines of code.
    Code:
    rm ~/Library/Preferences/com.apple.appstore.plist
    rm ~/Library/Preferences/com.apple.storeagent.plist
    rm -rf ~/Library/Preferences/ByHost/*
Now I can get Mac OS X Lion.

What exactly happens when you try to sync?
Was the iPod previous synced to another iTunes library/computer?
Have you successfully synced from this iTunes library/computer before?
If so have you done anything like update iTunes on the computer since it last successfully synced?

  • "One Moment Please...." iTunes not connecting to Store

i am getting the following message when I try to open the store:
"one moment please, connecting to the itune store.... loading"
and nothing happens. the weird thing is, i get this message every time i open itunes...

I tried the Edit>Preferences thing, and when I clicked on iTunes store link, I got a message saying the iTunes store is not currently available. I haven't been able to get into the iTunes store for over a week (it won't load). I didn't install anything new or change any settings prior to that.
My sister started having the same problem on the same day. She lives elsewhere and has her own computer.

  • Can't access iTunes Store. 'One Moment Please' message.  Please help!

I downloaded the latest version (9.0.3) of iTunes at the start of this week when I bought my iPhone. Everything worked fine & I could access the iTunes store & purchased music. I had purchased music on my iPod which I transferred to my iTunes library & everything was still working fine.
Then a couple of days later I created a ringtone from a purchased song. I synced my iPhone & the ringtone works absolutely fine, however, I can no longer access the iTunes Store. The following message is displayed:
"One Moment Please, Connecting to the iTunes Store, Loading... If iTunes doesn't open , click the application in your Dock or Windows Task Bar."
I have also tried to sign in to my account however I am unable to & receive the following message:
“We could not complete your iTunes Store request. An unknown error occurred (-50). There was an error with the iTunes Store. Please try again later.”
I use a wireless connection at home & iTunes is working absolutely fine on my other computer.
The Radio works fine, I am definitely connected to the Internet as I am accessing other sites at the same time as trying to open the store.
I have not switched to a new ISP & absolutely none of my Internet/firewall/security settings have changed in any way.
I have tried all of the following but none have fixed the problem:
I have configured Windows Firewall to allow iTunes to access the iTunes Store.
I have run Diagnostics which indicates that there is absolutely nothing wrong.
I have removed & re-installed iTunes on my laptop.
I have temporarily disabled my security software and firewalls.
I have using the MSCONFIG utility on my laptop to try & identify if a software program is preventing me from accessing the store but I still cannot access the store.
I am at a loss, I have no idea what to do next…please help, thanks!

Hi I just went through several days of the same problem, I was told to uninstall all of the Apple related software and reinstall in the order on this link
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1923?viewlocale=en_US
    than follow these steps
iTunes Store, iTunes, Windows 7, Windows Vista, Windows XP, Microsoft Windows XP SP2 and Vista
    Remove pop-up blockers
Some pop-up or ad-blocking programs may interfere with the ability of iTunes to connect to the iTunes Store. Removing them in many cases will resolve the issue.
    Flush DNS Setting in Windows
In some cases, the DNS information you computer uses to connect to the Internet needs to be reset. Follow these instructions to flush your Windows DNS information:
    Windows XP
1.On the Start menu, click Run.
2.In the Open field type cmd and click OK.
3.In the resulting window, type ipconfig /flushdns and press Return on the keyboard.
4.You should see a message that the DNS Resolver Cache has been successfully flushed.
    Windows Vista and Windows 7
1.On the Start menu, point to All Programs > Accessories and then right-click Command Prompt and choose Run as Administrator from the shortcut menu. If Windows needs your permission to continue, click Continue.
2.In the resulting window, type ipconfig /flushdns and press Return on the keyboard.
3.You should see a message that the DNS Resolver Cache has been successfully flushed.
Note: If, in the command prompt, you see this message: "The requested operation requires elevation", close the command prompt and repeat steps 1 and 2 above to be sure that Administrator privileges are used to access to Command Prompt.
For additional troubleshooting information about connecting to the iTunes Store, see Can't connect to the iTunes Store
after all this I had to go to control panel and create a new user with administrator controls, log off and on to the new users account. In the new account itunes store finally works, I'm not sure if all of the steps I was first instructed to take were needed, but I was happy to be able to finally access the itune store again. I hope this helps someone else.

I keep getting the error 306 cannot connect to the iTunes Network when downloading songs on iTunes. I've tried all the troubleshooting steps from the forums and my technical issues are still unresolved. I have Windows 7. Please help!!

iTunes Store loads partially or returns "Error 306" or "Error 10054"
Proxies, parental control settings and software, security or filtering software, or a bad iTunes Store cache can cause this.
To address proxies, Remove Internet Options proxy settings  ( http://support.apple.com/kb/TS1490 ) and connect to the Internet without a proxy.
    To reset iTunes Store cache:
In iTunes, choose iTunes > Preferences (Mac) or Edit > Preferences (PC).
    Click the Advanced tab.
    Click the "Reset cache" button.
Click OK and see if the issue is resolved.
    Adjust Parental Controls in iTunes:
    Open iTunes.
    Access iTunes preferences:
On a Mac: From the iTunes menu, choose Preferences.
On a Windows PC: From the Edit menu, choose Preferences.
    Click the Parental Controls tab.
    Remove restrictions on Parental Controls.

  • Sign in problems- Please connect to the internet and retry

I originally installed the premier elements trial on my computer. shortly after a friend of mine purchased premier elements for me I have the codes and everything I verified the product several times and it has been working great as of recently i am getting the error message: Please connect to the internet and retry
Either your computer is offline or the clock on your computer is set incorrectly causing a connection error. an internet connection is required.
Internet is running fine on my computer and the clock was indeed set to the wrong time, i set the correct time it but it is still giving me issues not allowing me to login or use the program
additionally: why do i need to sign in to the internet every time i use the program if i already purchased it? shouldnt i be allowed to use the program even when there is no internet connection available? why is it asking me to sign in every time. what gives?
p.s. i had it installed on two previous computers. One of them i bought wasnt good and i wiped the drive before i returned it to the store.
the other computer is an old computer its still on there but im not using it because its too slow to run it.

What version of Premiere Elements and on what computer operating system is it running.
Using Premiere Elements 12 on Windows 7 64 bit, I ran into the same Internet/Clock message and used the following solution to resolve that specific issue.

When you have been going to install Premiere Elements on any of your computers, are you getting a "same purchased serial number on more than 2 of your

  • "Please connect to the internet-"problem solved by the latest Muse-update

    Hi staff,
I'm happy to tell you that the former problem with the error message "Please connect to the internet…" when trying to start Muse is solved now by the latest update. At that time I talked to James Boag, he assumed Muse might not recognize my USB-modem (and I should try a different access point, which I didn't) but this is not an issue any more. When I launched Muse recently, it updated automatically and then started with no problems.
Thanks for the great work you've done in that matter.
    Regards
    Norbert

    Hi arrakis13,
I’m afraid I cannot really help you.
I did not make any changes on my running system except that I’m on 10.8 Mountain Lion (upgraded from 10.6.8., no Lion in between), but this did not change the behavior of Muse at first. Only the update, which started automatically when I launched the app on August, 21, (still the trial version) caused the difference.
My firewall is on and in the firewall-options Muse has allowance for incoming connections, see the attached screenshot (sorry, in german, but you will understand the meaning). Airport is not active and I did not change my way to connect to the internet (as James Boag from Adobe suggested earlier, see also attached mailing). It just worked.
Meanwhile I upgraded to the official version (2.0.945) and still it works.
    Hope you find a solution.
    Regards
    Norbert

This is still happening for me.  I downloaded the beta yesterday and am on 10.7.  I run software update but Muse is not showing up as having an update.  My firewall is not running.  Any suggestions on how I can get this running would be much appreciated.
    Please let me know.
    Thanks!!

  • One Moment Please....

My new podcast is live (and working via iTunes search), but when I click the "phobos" URL provided by Apple - or anybody else's for that matter - all I get is the One Moment Please and Loading screen in my browser (Firefox on PC and Mac, Safari on Mac). Nothing seems to happen at all - ever.
Am I waiting for a file to download or what? iTunes doesn't open automatically - and even if it's open nothing happens. Is it me?

Your profile indicates your Mac is running v10.7.2
If that is correct, updating your system software may help.
Click Software Update from the Apple menu.
Restart your Mac after updates are installed then try the App Store.
If you can't update that way, there's a workaround.
Install the OS X Lion Update 10.7.5 (Client Combo)
Then restart your Mac and try the App Store.

  • "One Moment Please... Connecting to iTunes Store... Loading"

    Hi,
Just purchased an 11" Air and the App Store just doesn't work on it. Keep on showing the following message, "One Moment Please... Connecting to iTunes Store... Loading". When I click on "Purchases", I get the following mesage, "We could not complete your App Store request" The App Store is temporarily unavailable". But I know the App Store is NOT unavailable cos I have it running fine on my MBP.
    Any ideas?
    Crazy

    Hi,
Open a Finder window. Select your Home folder in the Sidebar on the left then open the Library folder then the Preferences folder.
Move the com.apple.appstore.plist file to the Trash.
    Restart your Mac. Try again.
If you still can't access the MAS, click here.
    Mac App Store Customer Servoice
Also, make sure your computer's time and date are correct. Open System Preferences / Date & Time. Select the Date & Time tab then make sure the button next to: *Set date and time automatically* is selected. Click the Time Zone tab. Make sure you have the correct time zone selected.
And... because the Mac App Store is so busy, when you can't access it, wait an hour, try again.
Just found this on the MAS help viewer.
*Although anybody who logs in to your Mac can browse available applications, only an administrator can purchase, download, and install applications.* Make sure you are trying to login to the store with your admin account.
To view the source for that information, with the MAS open, click Help from the Menu bar top of your screen.

Hi, my iphone 5 encountered an unknown error while updating to iOS 7 via itunes and is now stuck in recovery mode and prompts me to restore the phone when I connect it to itunes but then I would lose all my data. I DO NOT have any back ups on itunes. Is there anyway to get out of recovery mode without restoring or recover data after a restore?
Or any other suggestions please? Thanks

As pdroth said, you should have gotten a backup made when you started the update of iOS. If you cannot find a backup, and the phone is in recovery mode, there are no futher suggestions to make. To get the phone working again you have to restore. You cannot force a backup at this time since it is already in recovery mode. It will not allow anything else but a restore at this point.
