To downgrade to Firefox 3.6 first uninstall Firefox 4, but do not select the option to "Remove my Firefox personal data". If you select that option it will delete your bookmarks, passwords and other user data.
You can then install the latest version of Firefox 3.6 available from http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/all-older.html - it will automatically use your current bookmarks, passwords etc.
To avoid possible problems with downgrading, I recommend going to your profile folder and deleting the following files if they exist - extensions.cache, extensions.rdf, extensions.ini, extensions.sqlite and localstore.rdf. Deleting these files will force Firefox to rebuild the list of installed extensions, checking their compatibility, and reset toolbar customizations.

An alternative approach is to keep Firefox 4 and install the portable version of Firefox 3.6 on your hard drive. Yahoo toolbar suddenly imposed itself as my log on screen whenever I booted up my computer and clicked on Firefox. Now I can't get to my bookmarks even though it told me that if I activated the new bookmark system it would transfer my old ones. It didn't happen. The toolbar has no bar for typing in a www.http address. I cannot use it and don't want it. I am using Explorer just so I can access my bookmark address, but don't like Explorer. I want my old Firefox screen back that has the little orange button in the upper left corner of the screen. How can I get there? My computer use has been highly curtailed by this unrequested invasion!

Make sure that you do not run Firefox in full screen mode (press F11 or Fn + F11 to toggle; Mac: command+Shift+F).<br />
If you are in full screen mode then hover the mouse to the top to make the Navigation Toolbar and Tab bar appear.<br />
You can click the Maximize button at the top right to leave full screen mode or right click empty space on a toolbar and use "Exit Full Screen Mode" or press F11.<br />

What exactly are you trying to do? PVRs are for recording from TV not computers.
Either way, if it's complaining about DOS mode, it's Windows oriented software and not Mac compatible.

To be completely honest, FCPX is a RAM hog. It just is. But, RAM is relatively cheap, and the pay-off is good.
4GB is right on the edge, IMHO. 16G is ideal.

Try rebuilding the mailbox.
First select the offending mailbox. Then click on Mailbox in the menu bar, and select Rebuild. If the bubble goes away, it was a glitch. If it does not go away there is one unread message in that Mailbox.
To find that one:
In Mail, go to View / Sort by / Unread. That should bring the unread email to the top of the list.

The Yosemite upgrade very often damages existing Photoshop installations. Thank Apple for that.
You need to uninstall and re-install Photoshop, then apply all the Photoshop upgrades from scratch.
