The only wrong thing I see in my iPod. Can anybody help?.

I love my fifth generation iPod, but I see it has an important fault: It can't remove pics and/or songs by itself. It has to be connected to iTunes to do it, Am I right?. I've got other mp3 players and they all allow to remove files directly from the player without having to connect the player to the computer. Can anybody confirm this?. Thanks!

Thanks a lot for your opinion, Frank. The last player I had before my iPod was a Creative Zen Touch 40Gb and you could easily remove any artist, album or song just through its "delete" option. There was no need to conect the player to the computer (although of course you could do it anyway). It was as simple as that!. It gave you the freedom to erase files while you were on the street, or on a bus without thinking to yourself "Oh well, now I gotta switch on my computer and run the program and connect the player and....", You know what I mean?. I really miss this function and meaybe the owners of the Zen Touch who bought an iPod know what I mean.

Update Server
Try:
- Powering off and then back on your router.
- iTunes for Windows: iTunes cannot contact the iPhone, iPad, or iPod software update server
- Change the DNS to either Google's or Open DNS servers
Public DNS — Google Developers
OpenDNS IP Addresses
- Try on another computer/network
- Wait if it is an Apple problem

I can´t export any videos. All videos have only 2,3 Megabyte after export them. Can anybody Help?

After export a video, they have all only 2,3 MB. I had check the export settings but all is okay.
I use Final Cut Pro X 10.1.4

How long is your video?
Make sure you select "Original or Optimised" in Playback Preferences before you export.
When the window opens after you choose "Share", are you able to skim through most of the movie before you start the export? If you can't it suggests you have a "Range" selected. Make certain nothing is selected in the timeline before you export.
Lastly, be sure to select the Project in the browser before you export.

If you can't remember the passcode that you set on it (which won't be the same as your iTunes or Mac passwords unless you set it the same), then you will need to connect the iPad to the computer that you normally sync to and you should then be able to reset the iPad and re-sync your content to it (http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1212) - you may need to put the iPad into recovery mode : http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1808

I bought an apple tv for its ability to mirror any of the content on my new ipad 3rd gen. Now after updating my apple tv i seem to have lost the ability to mirror my tablet onto the screen. Can somebody help with this. I have tried to do everything. I made sure both my apple tv and my ipad are connected to the same network. I also made shure my bluetooth was off. I can still airplay with my brothers iphone 4s. ( ios5.1) but i cannot do the same with my tablet.

You must be a newbie, because otherwise you would have fixed it. I don't have that mirroring problem and it must be because you are not looking around and inform yourself thoroughly. It took me also 2 days of grief before I found out how to do it. Not even to mention that the Apple Engineer that I called did not have a solution either and just suggested that I should send my Apple TV back or go to a Apple Store nearby.
I was pretty annoyed about that such a little black box was giving me grief. I have been working in the IT industry for over 30 years and I know quite a bit inside out about many hardware's. But my opinion is that sending out Version 6.0 Aka 5.1 as you rightfully say is not on with me.
This is the same behaviour that Apple now does as Microsoft forever is doing. Not finishing the products and putting it on the market or release it before it is finished and has bugs in it.
Personally this irks me and annoys me. Because I am in that field for many years and have seen what grief it causes. I have noticed that an Administrator has removed another post that I made about other matters concerning iPads and especially with iPad 3 and 4 now and that there are also other people who make inflamatory remarks to people ( Julian Wright for e.g.) about how they have to spend their money for the latest stuff of Apple and come over very aggressive, selfish, if not evil.
For your information, I used to work for Apple, I know Apple inside and how they work and what they used to do ? They were really nice for their employees and customers. But I think that has changed now for whatever reason they have. Very disappointing. It's up to Apple not to listen, I have no control of that, but it will cost them at some point.
Besides that point, I feel that some people are been taken for a ride and when I am expressing that this is not OK I should be rewarded for that instead of being rejected.

The problem may be corrupted preferences. If it persists, use the Finder's Go dropdown menu at top of screen and select Go to folder. Input ~/Library/Preferences and move these files to the Trash.

Restart the computer.

How were the videos created? If the videos are in a format that isn't listed below, they may need to be transcoded or exported the from the application they were created with again, just in a another format.

My new iPod has now crashed and is unusable after updating it. Don't update. I just lost the only good thing I have because of them pushing me into it.

My new iPod has been updated. I was pushed into it. So then I thought "it could use one it could improve it". I read as much as the terms and conditions as I could read that was understandable. And now it's been less then two days and my iPod is now practically useless. Don't update your iPod. It was the only good thing I had. I pleded and pleded to my parents for weeks and save up for weeks to get one. And now it's not even a year old and I've lost it. I can't afford to get a new one. And I can't afford to loose this one. i worked hard every day all day For months to be able to even get a quarter of what i needed. And my parents agreed to pay for the rest and it was my Christmas present. i was extremely happy. It's the best thing that I have and I've lost it because of an update Apple pushed me into. Now they won't help me.
my iPod is freezing every 5-10 minutes for long periods of time. It is:
freezing
the keyboard board is lacking severely
lags through out ipod
i cannot play games as it lags then freezes.
my screen is pressing where I don't press it.
it becomes very excruciatingly slow
I Cannot write to fast or it freezes and i have to re start
Im not getting told when I have notifications (such as emails)
i cannot use facebook, games, Safari. Email, messenger and a few others with out my iPod crashing.
i Cannot use the iPod properly at all.
it can take up to 10 minutes for my camera to work. It usually takes 1 minute or more.
the camera freezes or wont take a photo when I press
it freezes on panorama or worn take panoramas.
it has trouble even trying to get the lock screen up.
and best of all of it. I can never tell when I'm going to be screwed by Apple.

Try:

The idea to jumpstart by change was not the smartest one, but gives you an opportunity to use that "temporary" account as permanent. You do not have a choice cause obviously despite you thinking that old account is no more -it does exist on Apple servers. And if you are unwilling to share your [email protected] with friend, just create one extra [email protected] for your friend. One suggestion - do not use gmail.

I would recommend deleting the affected movie from your iPad, and redownloading the movie.

thanks, but the device displays on the top right of the latest version of itunes, and i doesn't allow a right click. You can open it and access the info inside but theres no option to "transfer items" anywhere :-s
