Yes- it is a Mac. I went through adobes system requirements and re- downloaded supportive software. The notice seems to happen near the end of the down load with the messages above. I'll look into your suggestion. Thank you- appreciated.

error 1601 may be resolved by disabling, deactivating, or uninstalling third-party security, antivirus, and firewall software.
My suggestion
Disconnect your PC from Internet. (just to make sure no nasties creep into your system while you syncing.
Stop the Antivirus program
Connect your iPod to the PC, using a high speed USB 2.0 port at the back of your PC.
Disconnect all other USB devices, except the mouse and keyboard.
Stop all other programs except iTunes.

Uninstall your existing copy of iTunes. Delete any copies of the iTunesSetup.exe (or iTunes64Setup.exe) installer files from your downloads areas for your web browsers and download a fresh copy of the iTunes installer from the Apple website:

(The current build of the 11.1.4.62 installer was changed a few days ago, which fixed the bulk of the reports of MSVCR80.dll/R6034/APSDaemon.exe/Error-7/AMDS-could-not-start trouble ... but the build number on the installer was not changed. So we're trying to make sure you do the reinstall using a "new good" 11.1.4.62 installer instead of an "old bad".)
Does the install with the new copy of the installer go through properly? If so, does that clear up the error message?

It looks as if there's a problem with your GPU. With a Retina machine, that would mean replacement of just about everything, except, perhaps, the flash storage drive.
Print you kernel panic when you go to your Apple Store appointment. I'm betting that it's a faulty GPU but they will be able to diagnose exactly where the problem lies.

The app may not be iOS6 compatible. Have you tried to reset it? HOld down the sleep and home keys, past when you see the red slider, and unitl you see the silver apple. Let it reboot and see if that helps. If it doesn't, then I'd contact Kindle and see when they're going to update their app or if they even know there's an issue. Unfortunately, the burden is on app developers to be compatible with the operating system, not on the OS to be compatible with millions of apps. So it's up to them.

Well I tried eliminating my printer, and starting over again like you suggested, but still cannot get my printer connected to my access point wirelessly.
Also, when I was in the process of installing the printer, I received the following message:
"System extension cannot be used
The system extension “/System/Library/Extensions/IOFireWireMxBt.kext” was installed improperly and cannot be used. Please try reinstalling it, or contact the product’s vendor for an update."
What the heck does that mean???

Every time Firefox open I get an error message stating "Unable to start the Bluetooth stack Service". What does this mean and what should I do about it, if anything?

Thank you so much for answering a question that has been bugging (no pun intended) me for so long. I am not a technical person at all, as you can see by my assumption that this was a Firefox and not a Windows situation, and I would have continued to just kept on hitting the OK button forever. I opted out by disabling the option but I copied the solution to a Word document and placed in a file just in case I needed to reverse in the future. When I use firefox to get on to the web I get the following message everytime: "Alert: Could not initialize the applications security component. The most likely cause is problems with files in your applications pforfile directory. Please check that this directory has no read/write restrictions and your hard disk is not full or close to full. It is recommended that you exit the application and fix the problem. If you continue to use this session, you might see incorrect application behaviour when accessing security feactures." Once I click the "OK button" at the bottom of the alert box firefox starts but does not act right. For instance it will not let me look for software updates. When I click on "Check for Updates" from the "Help" drop down menu I get a message stating: "There were problems checking for, downloading, or installing this update. Firefox could not be updated because: Update XML file malformed (200). You can update firefox manually by visiting this link and downloading the latest version."

HT1218 Time machine power on making 5x blip sound -. and the light stays amber! What does this mean?

Both the sound and the steady amber status LED could be indicating that the internal hard drive in your Time Capsule may have failed or is about to fail.
I would recommend taking it to your local Apple Store to have them confirm. If you purchased it with an Apple computer it may still be under warranty.
If not under warranty, the other option is to temporarily remove the hard drive, place it into a drive caddy and connect it to your Mac. Then you can use the native Disk Utility or another similar utility of your choosing to fully test the disk. You may find that you can revive it via this method. If successful you can then reinstall the drive in your Time Capsule.
