This is stupid. I just typed my question. I wanted to change my Phone to iOS 8 but I didn't expect it to delete everything I just wrote.

Hopefully someone can make note of the issue you've experienced
if they are officially made aware of it, and then attempt to resolve it.
Several items appear to respond differently based on the OS X
version in use, the web browser in use, and other variables...
So I thought to reply. As most responses here are user-to-user
and rarer, semi-official answer/opinion of discussions specialist
or other officially recognized Apple site moderator may not reply.
Certain browsers and a variety of older or near-vintage OS X
systems may find issue with the site functions, as I've noticed.

when you install the disc, do it with the machine powered off. Place the disc in the the slot, push it in while holding the power switch tp poer it up, while holding the "C" key down till the gear starts spinning. After the gear starts spinning you can release the C key and wait. This takes much longer than normal longer, then create a new account. Be ready to wait.

Type "about:config" in the location bar.
Filter for "privacy.popups.showBrowserMessage"
Change this to true by double clicking the preference (or right click and choose Reset)

Trying to do step 2 - i.e creating an account and I don't have the option on the menu to do so. What do I do at this point?

I installed Firefox 5.0. I went to create a user name and password and in following the video tutorial, I do not have the option. The only thing I get is "restore, move, size, minimize, maximize and close". I downloaded the program 2x.

Go to the Tools menu > Options. Select the Sync tab in the options. Then use the setup Firefox sync button to create the account. From that point forward it should be the same steps as the video.

Would throwing it in Recovery mode and restoring as new clear it up?

Step 1: Turn off the iPhone. To do this press and hold the power button till you see the “Slide to Power off” screen. Now slide the button to turn it off.
In case your iPhone is stuck in an infinite loop and the previous option is unavailable, press and hold the Power and Home button till the screen goes off. Remember to leave both the buttons as soon as the screen goes off and before the Apple logo appears again.
Step 2: Connect the iPhone’s USB cable to your computer but not to your iPhone yet.
Step 3: Now hold down the Home button and while you are holding it connect the USB cable. Keep holding the Home button till you see the Connect to iTunes screen on your iPhone(Screenshot shown below). iTunes will show an alert saying a device in recovery mode has been detected.

This can be a problem with the file places.sqlite that stores the bookmarks and the history.

Look at your receipt. Does it say unlocked? It is possible to purchase both locked "sim free" and unlocked iPhones from Apple.
ONLY the carrier an iPhone is locked to can legitimately unlock it.
IF your receipt says that it was supposed to be unlocked, and it is not, call AppleCare. They should be able to straighten it out.

If you are currently running an iOS lower than 5.0, connect to your computer & click on the "Update your device using iTunes".
Tip - You may need to disable your firewall and anitvirus software temporarily. Then download and install the iOS update. After you update to iOS 6, the next update can be installed via wifi (i.e., not connected to your computer).

Your project is already saved in an iMovie Library on your hard drive. Re-installing iMovie will not affect your project or event files.
To reinstall iMovie, just drag the iMovie application from the Applications folder to the trash.
Reboot your Mac.

I went into the cloud on phone it was on. Turned off and back on. Now i have 6 of one contactDeleted face books also incase that was the issue. It should automatically ajust but you may not be able to use it if the country you're going to uses a different network service. The two main services are CDMA and GSM. iPhone 4S can connect to both, but iPhone 4's come in separate CDMA and GSM models. USA, China, Egypt and some other countries use CDMA so if you bought your iPhone from one of these countries, it will not work in most European countries or Australia because they use GSM
