The other day I finally sync to the cloud and one of my email accounts keeps asking for a password
I finally sync'd to the cloud - I have an iMac, iPhone, and iPad - it was getting tiresome to keep deleting emails off of all three. I have two email accounts - Gmail and SBCGlobal (ATT). I have no problem with the Gmail account, but the SBCGlobal email account keeps asking me for my password on my iMac. If I go directly to the Yahoo or SBCglobal site, the both the password and the new mail is there. Any Ideas?
Yes, you need to enter your password. The fact that your web browser is auto filling in your password when you go to the email service's web site does not have anything to do with the iCloud client having it. Are you sure the password you are being asked for is your email password, and not your AppleId, or user account password?

Try deleting the yahoo email account, and then recreate the account so you are sure all the information is now correct. I have had email information get corrupted for unknown reasons and found just removing and recreating the account to resolve the issues most of the time.
Check the ports, incoming and outgoing, on your iDevices to be sure the same are used on the iMac. -
On my iphone 5 i have two iTunes ID, one is no longer in use, but keeps asking for a password which I no longer have, whilst the other is still being used. How do I delete the old ID?

My i touch wont let me in the itunes store. Keeps asking for my password.
I have a few issues going on...... My i touch is a few years old. The battery wont hold a charge, I can not plug it directly into the computer... not a strong enough charge.
I havent used it in about a year now. I found it this week, tried to use it...every thing works fine..... emails, home security alarm, games,photos, music.All good. Even did updates on apps. But i can not purchase any thing or get into the app store at all. I know my password is correct cause I tried an old one just to check. Different message came up ...wrong password. Look, I understand I still need a card attached to the account. The problem is, it won't accept my card because I only have 87 cents in my bank account right now.
If I had known there would be so much trouble with the iTunes card, I would have just put the cash in my bank account in the morning instead of buying an iTunes card (I didn't expect the banks to be open on Thanksgiving of course).
Apple will only accept cards that have a balance. The balance is so small in my account that it won't accept it as a valid card.
I'm going to have to contact Apple anyway to reset the security questions. That's obvious. Your answers were not exactly helpful. You didn't tell me anything I don't already know, but thanks for trying to be helpful. -

The App Store version sometimes gives problems. As you can't install 10.8.4 from the App Store, download and install the Combo edition > http://support.apple.com/kb/DL1659?viewlocale=en_US&locale=en_US This edition will work and will update OS X to the most recent version, in that case, 10.8.4

Try deleting and re-installing the app
Try a reset: Simultaneously hold down the Home and On buttons until the device shuts down. Ignore the off slider if it appears. Once shut down is complete, if it doesn't restart on it own, turn the device back on using the On button. In some cases it also helps to double click the Home button and close all apps from the tray BEFORE doing the reset.
Be a little more insistant with the app developer. If it his/her code after all. -

It's referring to the MAC password that you have setup.
A software prompts for a password only when there are restrictions set on the user account for unauthorised access to system files and folders. -

Are you signed into this old ID ("email") in System Preferences>iCloud, System Preferences>Internet Accounts (Mail,Contacts,Calendars), or in Mail>Accounts, Calendar>Accounts or Contacts>Accounts?

I have the app "Today is +" I have been using it for about 2 years. I usually send backup by email to my home computer. I noticed the other day that I have NOT been receiving my backups since July! When I send it from my Itouch it does give me a "message sent." I have done all the updates and restarted my Itouch and computer. No luck. I have iOS 6.1.3.
Any help on this would be greatly appreciated.

I am trying to put my ipad back to factory settings and it keeps asking for my original Id which is the reason I am needing to reset it. When I try to do this via password prompts it asks for my date of birth which I enter correctly and it tells me it is incorrect and then trying the email route this does not send any emails to the registered accounts I set up originally - help!!
My guess is all the issues are probably related and fall back to malware.
AVG is probably correct in identifying malware. So I suggest you try some cleaning tools other than Emsisoft .

So first create a clean boot in Windows using Microsoft's instructions https://support.microsoft.com/kb/929135?wa=wsignin1.0 and then run the anti malware applications.
My outside looking in guess is that malware has set itself up as an internet proxy and is is downloading copies of itself and other malware, blocking some mail port as times as downloading more malware is more important, and probably breaking your tivo as well..
Try the malware programs first. If that does not work I will try and talk you through some logging to see what is happening. -
I am unable to receive my email because of a box that keeps coming up requesting a password, and when I put in my password, it says it is incorrect! I do not have my email set up to ask for a password. I am able to send emails, but not able to receive them??? My email still works on my iphone and my ipad, but I need it on my macbook Pro!
To my knowledge there is NO email provider that allows anyone to get or send emails without a password on the account.
Try Thunderbird as an email client, dumb Apple/Mac Mail.
