"The page isn't redirecting properly" when trying to log in to my yahoo mail
I can't access my mail.yahoo since I set ssl. I have deleted the related cookies (yahoo.com and mail.yahoo.com) as well the browser cache. i have restarted FF but still nothing. The mail works fine in Google chrome showing me the secure (https) connection at the browser address.
'''Try the Firefox Safe Mode''' to see how it works there. The Safe Mode is a troubleshooting mode, which disables most add-ons.''
''(If you're not using it, switch to the Default theme.)''
* You can open the Firefox 4.0+ Safe Mode by holding the '''Shift''' key when you use the Firefox desktop or Start menu shortcut.
* Or use the Help menu item and click on the '''Restart with Add-ons Disabled...''' menu item while Firefox is running.
''Don't select anything right now, just use "'Start in Safe Mode"''
''To exit the Firefox Safe Mode, just close Firefox and wait a few seconds before using the Firefox shortcut (without the Shift key) to open it again.''
'''''If it is good in the Firefox Safe Mode''''', your problem is probably caused by an extension, and you need to figure out which one.
Please follow the [[Troubleshooting extensions and themes]] article for that.

When trying to log into yahoo mail, I get the message saying 'The page isn't redirecting properly'. I deleted history/ restarted firefox. How can this be fixed?
If it works in Safe Mode and in normal mode with all extensions (Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) disabled then try to find which extension is causing it by enabling one extension at a time until the problem reappears.
Close and restart Firefox after each change via "Firefox > Exit" (Windows: Firefox/File > Exit; Mac: Firefox > Quit Firefox; Linux: Firefox/File > Quit)

When I try to load gmail I get the message "The page isn't redirecting properly"
I logged out of one gmail account to log into another. The first account was working fine.
When trying to load up the second, I got the following message:
" The page isn't redirecting properly
Firefox has detected that the server is redirecting the request for this address in a way that will never complete.

I've checked the cookies but all seems fine. What to do?

Trying to access a part of a website- message saying the page isn't redirecting properly
Trying to get from one Sage page to their reference page. Message says "The page isn't redirecting properly. Firefox has detected the server is redirecting the request in a way that will never complete."
Can you post a link to a public page where that happens that doesn't require authentication (log in) to access it?
Then we can check if it is a problem with that site.
Are you allowing cookies from that site?
If clearing the cookies doesn't help then it is possible that the file cookies.sqlite that stores the cookies is corrupted.
Rename (or delete) cookies.sqlite (cookies.sqlite.old) and delete other present cookie files like cookies.sqlite-journal in the Firefox Profile Folder in case the file cookies.sqlite got corrupted. -
Help with Managing sub accounts and The page isn't redirecting properly
Anytime I try to make a new sub account, and I click on "Sub Accounts" I get this error:
The page isn't redirecting properly
Firefox has detected that the server is redirecting the request for this address in a way that will never complete.

Before you ask, I'm a bit of a PC geek, I tried in both FF and IE8, same result, checked cookie settings, and they are NOT disabled etc.
Any ideas?
Solved!
Go to Solution.Cookies are normal. The only exceptions are for SU.
I found a way to manage the sub accounts. Through Yahoo. Which is completely asinine. Why do I have to go to Yahoo's page when IT'S RIGHT IN MY VERIZON!?

The page isn't redirecting properly
Firefox has detected that the server is redirecting the request for this address in a way that will never complete.Does this happen on just one site or does it happen more often?
First I would delete the contents of the cache and delete all current cookies and try again. If clearing does not help, I would try safe mode.
Did you try to start Firefox in the Firefox Safe Mode? If it works when in safe mode, then this problem is probably caused by a broken add-on. If the safe mode does not help, that may be an indication that the server is sending some broken headers. -
"The page isn't redirecting properly" - Deleted Cookies, still not working
I'm trying to access "www.mtgsalvation.com" - Initially it redirected me to yahoo, searching for the website. I tried deleteing the cookies, go on the site and it comes up with the "The page isn't redirecting properly" page.
Tried deleting individual cookies, tried deleting all the cookies - Both don't work
Any suggestions on what to try? Windows 8 btwYou can remove all data stored in Firefox from a specific domain via "Forget About This Site" in the right-click context menu of an history entry ("History > Show All History" or "View > Sidebar > History") or via the about:permissions page.
Using "Forget About This Site" will remove all data stored in Firefox from that domain like bookmarks, cookies, passwords, cache, history, and exceptions, so be cautious and if you have a password or other data from that domain that you do not want to lose then make sure to backup this data or make a note.
You can't recover from this 'forget' unless you have a backup of the involved files.
It doesn't have any lasting effect, so if you revisit such a 'forgotten' website then data from that website will be saved once again. -
The page isn't redirecting properly
Hi Friends,
I recently was given permission to edit a website (made with django). When I finished editing, and saved the new edits, I got the following error from Ff:
"The page isn't redirecting properly.
Firefox has detected that the server is redirecting the request for this
address in a way that will never complete.
This problem can sometimes be caused by disabling or refusing to accept
cookies"
I have all cookies allowed for this site. And I don't know what else to do. I've contacted the admin for the site, and he says there is no redirect that he knows of. And I've looked at the page source and don't see any redirect in the code.
Note that the edits I made were successfully saved. Also, I have no idea where it might have been redirecting me to or through, since it was my first time doing this. But again, the admin says there are no redirects.
Can you all give me some info about this error message, that will help me to track down the problem?
Thank you very much.
PS -- And please don't reply by posting search results on the topic title. I've already done that and didn't find an answer. Please reply only if you know something about this. Thanks :-)Thanks cor-el, but the problem is solved, as far as the redirect issue.
Maybe I should have started a new topic.....maybe I will....
I just thought since the issue I was having because I had reset the referrer header, was explained through this thread, it would be easier than explaining it again in a new topic.
At least 1 of those programs I listed, as best I can understand, allows for customized referrer header, site by site. I just can't understand the other one though.
But you know what, I think I'll just start a new topic, and ask if anyone has experience with these, or can explain the one I can't understand.
Thanks again :-) -
The actual error message is below:

Out Tech Support person, thought it had something to do with FF4 adding things to the address that do not belong. It is an in-house address with just a URL number.Clear the cache and the cookies from sites that cause problems.

Can't load Netflix - Firefox says something about cookie problem and recommends try again button. ("The page isn't redirecting properly Firefox has detected that the server is redirecting the request for this address in a way that will never complete. This problem can sometimes be caused by disabling or refusing to accept cookies.)" Hit the try again button repeated ly - nothing???
I decided to give Netflix a call about this problem.
On a recording while waiting for a support rep, it said if you're having problems logging in to go to:
http://www.netflix.com/clearcookies
It works for me. Now I have to logon everytime I go to their site though versus it had kept me already logged in before this problem.
I will be using that link to get to their site until they get it fixed. -
How do I fix "Error: The page isn't redirecting properly...."
On one particular webpage I access through my e-mail, I can initially open the webpage just fine, but when I click on any link on that page, I get the error message "This page isn't redirecting properly. Firefox has detected that the server is redirecting the request for this address in a way that will never complete. This problem can sometimes be caused by disabling or refusing to accept cookies".
This is the only website that this occurs on, but it occurs on at least three e-mail accounts that I use on this computer using Firefox. It does not seem to occur on other computers using Firefox and does not occur when using other browsers. From the information I have been given, I have no idea how to go about fixing the problem. Any suggestions are appreciated.''GettingNoAnswers [[#question-1014120|said]]''

I periodically have this problem and have just realized it occurs ONLY on the Wall Street Journal web page that I have stored in my bookmarks for Apple stock. It won't load the page (like today) and I then go through an hour of reading forums, Googling, searching thru my Options, and then suddenly, right now, the page loads as if nothing has happened. Grrr. And i have altered nothing in my Options, or Cookies, or History blah blah blah. I have other issues with the WSJ quote pages such as, and yinz won't believe this, but I've noticed in the past that for certain stocks that they've written critical articles about, the real-time quotes are erratic. I've written to them 6 times in one week and they've only responded with a brief generalizaton of "clear your cache" or some such nonsense. Seems to me they refuse to acknowledge their servers are goofy. -
This problem started right after I deleted lots of cookies, trying to avoid the ad people from getting too much information. My email is from pol.net (from Medscape). I made sure my Privacy settings accept cookies. The problem also occurs in Firefox Safe mode. I even restored the Firefox applications (I have a macBook Pro laptop) from my external hard drive using Time Machine from a backup I did 2 days before I deleted cookies -- NO change, even though checking to see what cookies are on the system appear to show that all the deleted cookies were restored !! My Medscape people CAN access my mail from Firefox---I can't from my bookmarks or URL window using Firefox. The rest of my bookmarks seem to be unaffected. I CAN access my mail from Safari. Please help.
Did you check the cookie exceptions ([http://kb.mozillazine.org/Menu_differences Firefox > Preferences] > Privacy > Cookies: "Exceptions") ?
