The pdf font quality changes if another pdf file is open, for pdfs generated by Latex Beamer
Hi There,
I create pdf presentation files using Latex Beamer. I see a strange behavior when I open the file with Adobe reader to read it. If another pdf file is already open, the quality of the font is good but the shadow of the boxes disappears. If no other pdf file is open, the shadow box is good but the font has a low quality.
Does anyone know about this problem?

I am having a similar issue with PDFs i create from Photoshop and added links in Acrobat. The quality of the text was changing on me and I hadnt realized it was when I had more than one PDF open.
Please let em know if you come to any resolution on this.

I have the latest version of Acrobat Reader. However I cannot open a PDF document online. I was always able to do this on the particular website. What can I do please?

It doesn't need a SIM to download apps if you have Wi-Fi. Can you describe this box a little more, or better yet, screenshot it?

If you don't want to do this, can you describe it a little more? When you say "black box," I'm guessing it's an outlined box that appears around any item that you tap on. Is this correct? If so, it sounds like VoiceOver was enabled. See:

I have just downloaded the latest "Office" update, and now my xls files only open in "Numbers". Can this be fixed?
You can try right clicking on one of your xls files select get info then select open with, select other then choose office excel and check the box to say always open this file type.

I have the preview pane active when selecting PDF Documents. When I open a PDF document I am unable to save any changes. the error message I receive:
"The documents could not be saved. The file ma be read-only,or another user may have it open. Please save the document with a different name of in a different folder"
The document is not read only and no other user has it open. If I turn the preview pane OFF there is no problem saving changes. I have also un-installed Adobe Reader.
Other programs (such as Excel, Word) do not experience the same problems as the PDF documents.

It sounds like you just need to associate the PDF filename extension with Acrobat, rather than Preview. Please see this document from the Microsoft Help for instructions on choosing the default program for opening a particular file type (in your case, PDF): Change which programs Windows uses by default - Windows Help

Receiving 'Missing Font' message - but have font on my system; and no one can open my PDFs
I have just started using a new Ind template (developed by someone else). Everytime I go to open the .ind file I get a "Missing Font" error box that says my document "uses one or more fonts which are not currently available on your system." Specifically, the font the error message notes is "Univers 57 Condensed." But I do have that font on my system. I reinstalled all of my Univers fonts again just to be on the safe side, I upgraded from CS3 to CS4 and I updgraded my Acrobat for v6 to v9 and I am still having the issue. Now, I am able to create a PDF and I can open it myself no problem. But when I send the PDF to anyone else they can't open it, and then get an error message that says: "Cannot extract the embedded font 'GRCMCG+UniversLSTD-CN'. Does anyone have an idea as to what the issue may be - I don't know what else to try. Thank You!!!
If that's the case the font you've got installed is obviously seen as a different one than the one in the template by Indesign. Howver once you've used Find Font and saved the document you shouldn't get that warning again, right?
As to why other people can't open it I don't know.... I have had it in the past when a document is emailed that it gets damaged, could that be a possibility? -

İ also check the site of adobe to find answers, but no results.If there is no info on Adobe about it, this is probably a case where there is a special 3D plugin that Adobe has access to on your PC. You need to find out what software generated the 3D. Then you can find out if there is an equivalent Mac compatible plugin. That said, you can always run Windows on an iMac Intel if push comes to shove:

I can't open attachments on my iPad 2t and I can't open jpgs, PDFs, docs. or movie files now.
Obviously, you are talking about the mail app, so force close the mail app and reset your iPad. If that fails, reset all settings.
In order to close apps, you have to drag the app up from the multitasking display. Double tap the home button and you will see apps lined up going left to right across the screen. Swipe to get to the app that you want to close and then swipe "up" on the app preview thumbnail to close it.
Reset the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider if it appears on the screen - let go of the buttons. Let the iPad start up.
When you reset all settings, you will not lose any data, but most of the device settings will have to be entered in the settings app again. Settings>General>Reset>Reset all Settings. -
I recently downloaded the most recent version of snow leopard to my imac. Now I can't open any pdf files. I just get a dark gray screen when I try to pull one up. Has anyone else had this problem? Please advise.

I just bought splashtop, you have to have your home computer online,and download the pc version. I have used it ot watch movies and to "go to work" on my ipad. It controls the desktop through the ipad. Whiteboard by splashtop does that and more and is on sale. The education director at the hospital I work at is using that one.

JSP-can i reuse the instance of a bean in another .jsp file
am having a bean like clsStudent and i have used the usebean tag and setproperty to set all the values of the same bean. then i want to access the contents in the instane of clsStudent in another .JSP file.
That doesn't sound like you're doing it right. Beans, like any java class, are actually defined in Java, and class files placed in the WEB-INF directory (By the way class names should be capitalised).
JSPs shouldn't be populating beans, they should be generating HTML based on them. If you're loading form data into a bean use a servlet.
That said there's no problem referencing beans in multiple JSPs, but you have to pay attention to how the actual reference gets into the JSP. This is done through "scope" on useBean. Generally a Servlet builds a bean and places it into the request attributes, then forwards to a JSP to format the HTML. -
I have recently updated my CC programs to the latest version (CC2014) and now all of my files wont open by default into their respective programs, only if I open the program and go to file>open and open the file from there. How can I fix this?
I have tried 'Open with' and the version of the program now installed on my computer isn't even suggested as an option and when I browse for it, the file wont open with it anywayOn Windows (don't know about Mac), the latest version will always take over the file association, and become the default for indd files. It's impossible to change it.
But there is a plugin for ID that makes this possible. Never tried it myself.
