The file on the link:
http://otn.oracle.com/software/htdocs/devlic.html?http://download.oracle.com/otn/other/PDK.zip
is corrup is ther a other link to download ? The link seems to be fine, do you mean to say the pdk.zip file which u downloaded is corrupted. If so, I'm not sure of the exact reason of corrupt file getting downloaded, but it could be possible that your download did not complete. I tried today, it is fine and functional. You could try downloading again.

  • Want to view the created zip file via Bursting in Oracle Apps

    Hello,
    I' ve created a Bursting control file and invoked the concurrent request (XML Publisher Report Bursting Program, XDOBURSTREP) within the after-report trigger in oracle reports.
    My Bursting-Control file as follows:
    <xapi:requestset xmlns:xapi="http://xmlns.oracle.com/oxp/xapi" type="bursting">
    <xapi:request select="/XXMI_OM_QUOTE/LIST_G_ORDERS/G_ORDERS">
    <xapi:delivery>
    <xapi:filesystem id="file1" output="/usr/tmp/DEV1/${QUOTE_NO}"></xapi:filesystem>
    </xapi:delivery>
    <xapi:document output-type="pdf" delivery="123">
    <xapi:template type="xsl-fo" location="xdo://XXMI.XXMI_OM_QUOTE.en.US">
    </xapi:template>
    </xapi:document>
    </xapi:request>
    </xapi:requestset>
    It works fine. e.g. Bursting creates two pdf-files and one zip file in unix, which I can see when pushing the View Output of the request(XML Publisher Report Bursting Program):
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8" ?>
    - <BURS_REPORT>
    <REQUESTID>643527</REQUESTID>
    <PARENT_REQUESTID>643525</PARENT_REQUESTID>
    <REPORT_DESC>XXMI OM Quote</REPORT_DESC>
    <OUTPUT_FILE>/u00/erp/dev1APP/inst/apps/DEV1/logs/appl/conc/out/o643527.zip</OUTPUT_FILE>
    - <DOCUMENT_STATUS>
    <KEY />
    <OUTPUT_TYPE>pdf</OUTPUT_TYPE>
    <DELIVERY>FILESYSTEM</DELIVERY>
    <OUTPUT>/usr/tmp/DEV1/10000012.pdf</OUTPUT>
    <STATUS>success</STATUS>
    <LOG />
    </DOCUMENT_STATUS>
    - <DOCUMENT_STATUS>
    <KEY />
    <OUTPUT_TYPE>pdf</OUTPUT_TYPE>
    <DELIVERY>FILESYSTEM</DELIVERY>
    <OUTPUT>/usr/tmp/DEV1/10000026.pdf</OUTPUT>
    <STATUS>success</STATUS>
    <LOG />
    </DOCUMENT_STATUS>
    </BURS_REPORT>
    But instead of this XML-output I wish a link to the file on unix. How can I link <OUTPUT_FILE>/u00/erp/dev1APP/inst/apps/DEV1/logs/appl/conc/out/o643527.zip</OUTPUT_FILE> within the view Output-Button of this request?
    Thanks in advance for any clues

    That is not how bursting works in EBS.
    The View Output from XDOBURSTREP is the Bursting Status Reprot.
    The bursted results are (potentially) multiple files so cannot be linked to view output.
    Depending upon the delivery channel chosen you have to either read the email, check the fiel system or printer, to see the results.
    The delivery channel bypasses the standard EBS request view.

  • How do I find the latest Critical Sun Solaris Patches on Oracle site

    Hello
    How do I find the latest critical Solaris Patches available to the users. I was searching the list on Oracle's site it's hard to determine which patch is critcal or not. When I type uname -a this is what returns Generic_142909-17.
    Any help you could provide would be appreciated.

    Sorry, I wrote "Monthly" when I meant to write "Quarterly". Apologies for the confusion. My bad.
    From - http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/topics/security/alerts-086861.html
    They are released on the Tuesday closest to the 15th day of January, April, July and October. Starting 2011, the scheduled dates for the release of Critical Patch Updates will be on the Tuesday closest to the 17th day of January, April, July and October. The next four dates are:
    * 19 April 2011
    * 19 July 2011
    * 18 October 2011
    * 17 January 2012
    The CPU for the Solaris Operating System is a rebranded snapshot of the Recommended OS Cluster. The rebranding involves only superficial changes to the patch cluster, with the actual patch content remaining unchanged. The patches contained in this patch cluster are considered the most important and highly recommended patches for Solaris 10. They provide the least amount of change required to address known security, data corruption and availability issues.
    If there's a particular CVE Alert which you're vulnerable to or interested in, then the fix will be released within the patch that corresponds to the area of code the vulnerability affects. You can then apply that patch and it's requirements separate to the clusters. Next time you apply the cluster it will either install the latest rev of the patch or skip it if you have the latest installed already.
    The Recommended Patch Cluster bundle is a much larger collection of patches and contains all the latest patches (at the time of release) which include Solaris updates, Security, and Sun Alert fixes. Note that we merged "Recommended Patch Cluster/Kernel Jumbo Patchset" and the "Sun Alert Patch Clusters" back in June 2010. See http://blogs.sun.com/patch/entry/merging_the_solaris_recommended_and for more information regarding what happened and why.
    Of course there will be a large overlap between the "Recommended OS Cluster" and the "Critical Patch Updates" patchsets will be rolled in to the "Recommended OS Cluster" whenever it's cut and released.
    There's a lot of information in the README files for each cluster so you may want to read those to understand the subtle differences.
    Regards,
    Steve

  • Can anyone help me get my version of FM 10 updated with the TCS3Update.zip patch?

    I'm trying to get FM 10 working on my new computer, but after installation when I go to open the program I get the "Licensing for this product has expired" message. I downloaded the TCS3Update.zip patch the website recommended to fix this, but when I try to run the patch I get a "Update not applicable" error message.
    I'm on Windows 7.
    Any suggestions?
    Thanks, Greg

    Did you de-activate the previous install and/or do you still have
    activations left? If you didn't deactivate or don't have any activations
    left, you'll need to call Adobe support and get them to reset things.
    At that point, updates should work, because they only work for valid
    installs... and you're not quite legal yet.

  • Installing JDK 1.4, esp. the src.zip file

    I have some questions about installing JDK 1.4:
    1. After running the executable installation file, you get a src.zip file in the installation directory. Does anyone know what this is? The obvious answer is that it is the library of code for JDK 1.4. However, I have run programs on Forte Agent without unzipping this file.
    2. In previous versions of the JDK, when you decompress the src.jar (it is now a src.zip file in the 1.4 version) file, it creates a src folder and decompresses all the information into that. However, in JDK 1.4, it does not create a src folder, but rather, decompresses the files into the installation directory. Is this a fault of the new release or should I create a src folder and have the src.zip file decompress into that folder?

  • Where can I get Tutotorial.zip that the OA Framework Developer Guide talks

    Hi
    Can someone please tell me as to, from where I can get the Tutorial.zip that the OA Framework Developer Guide talks about.
    thanks
    subra.

    Hi,
    You can download the OA JDeveloper Extension from Metalink (Patch Number 4045639) and install it according to the instructions provided on Metalink note 286082.1. This will install a version of JDeveloper on your machine that already comes with the tutorial mentioned in the Developer Guide, as well as the IDE suited for OA Development.
    Thanks!

  • Posting Links to Oracle Documentation

    Far too often I see a URL Link to a copy of the standard Oracle documentation hosted by some other site -- sometimes it is a University.
    It would be incorrect and inappropriate to provide a link to a non-Oracle site for standard Oracle documentation.
    Universities might be hosting a copy of the documentation but I would guess that this is primarily for their students although they do not prevent others from accessing the documentation.
    Remember that any non-Oracle site cannot necessarily be an "authentic" source of information on Oracle documentation. Furthermore, many of these links that are posted here on forums are pointing to Oracle database 9.2 or 10.1 documentation. At the minimum ensure that you point to 10.2 or, preferrably, 11.2 documentation.
    There is no issue with providing a link to a non-Oracle site when it is clear that the page provided is not intended to be read as standard Oracle documentation.

  • Advantages and protocol on listing a page of links to other sites

    Hi, Once again, I have questions about my site www.freemodelguild.com. the question is more a general question for experienced web designers not about Muse specifically.
    Most of the art groups in our area have a page that lists all the other art groups in the area, and so this organization is suggesting we do the same thing. I know having other links on a site can help with our search engine optimization, and we are trying to drive traffic to our site, so I think it's a good idea. However, should I just copy a list of all the other arts organizations?  Should I write to their webmasters and ask them to link to us?  Should I write and ask for permission to link to them?  I just don't know what the protocol is.
    Again this is such a non-web savvy group, they know they want a website, but have no idea what should and could be done  so I've had wing this thing. I'm a print designer and, of course, things are done a little differently with print.
    I appreciate all the feedback I get from this forum.

    Generally you would have no problem adding links to other sites without asking. No website owner will tell you you can't as the more links they have coming to their site the better. I have always had mixed feelings on that type of thing. One thing to remember is the more external links you have the more work it is to make sure they all work. Dead links make your site look bad as well as bad for search engines so you would have to constantly be checking that the sites are still operational or the link hasn't changed.
    So over the years I personally have found it better to just supply a small handful of links (maybe no more than 5) that I think will benifit my site visitors directly. Almost always it is a very well established long standing site so I know it is worthwhile/relevant and most likely not to dissapear.
    Remember that when you do link to an external site to set the target to open in a new browser window. Also keep in mind that the more external links you have the more you are pushing your visitor to somewhere else.

  • Why are most of the links on Oracle's site that relate to Java broken?

    Why are most of the links on Oracle's site that relate to Java broken? For example, try searching for SocketChannel and then clicking on any of the returned links, in particular click on www.oracle.com/technetwork/servers-storage/ts-4222-159193.pdf.
    This is the second time I have tried to search for Java information and both times found broken links.
    Does anyone know where I can find more information on using a SocketChannel?

They have a huge investment in it and would need to replace or discontinue a number of products that they paid quite a bit of money for.
    On the other hand in might just be that they don't much about providing support that doesn't lead to revenue. Thus support contracts have a support channel while public links get little support.

     Take it somewhere that has better broadband. The best you can do sometimes is invest in new modem that works with your system instead of the rental etc in most cases.
    Do a Safe Boot.
    Make sure your firewall is set properly. Don't use 3rd party. AV software can get in the way.
    Make sure you are getting the service and a clean strong modem signal - slow is one thing but if it drops off and can't maintain a connection you have hardware issues, not software - and upgrade to a new OS doesn't tend to improve, it may even not work with older networking equipment once you do get it.
     I agree and think electronic only goes too far. And when you do get it: burn the package and manually set it aside first before running the intaller! make a flash memory installer, put it on DVDs too.

  • Does Oracle support multiple pdk-forms on the same page??

    We have a portal page that contains two portlets (“summary” and “review comments”) and each in turn contains a pdk-form. When a form (say “review Comments” portlet) is submitted via post, in the resultant page, the second portlet (“summary”) gets the post parameters from the first portlet as hidden fields. Here is a snippet of the resultant HTML source that shows the second form’s automatically generated hidden fields:
    ==============================================================================
    <form name="summaryFormBean" method="post" action="http://host/portal/page">
    <INPUT TYPE="hidden" name="_pageid" value="584,1564971" />
    <INPUT TYPE="hidden" name="_dad" value="portal" />
    <INPUT TYPE="hidden" name="_schema" value="PORTAL" />
    <INPUT TYPE="hidden" name="facilityId" value="1232187" />
    <!—The parameters from the review comments portlet -->
    <INPUT TYPE="hidden" name="_piref584_1564976_584_1564971_1564971.1415711_REVIEWCOMMENTS_49519881org.apache.struts.taglib.html.TOKEN" value="2c6b4e323df1281c93602ecc9d855819" />
    <INPUT TYPE="hidden" name="_piref584_1564976_584_1564971_1564971.strutsAction" value="reviewComments.do" />
    <INPUT TYPE="hidden" name="_piref584_1564976_584_1564971_1564971.reviewFacilityComments" value="this is a test" />
    <INPUT TYPE="hidden" name="_piref584_1564974_584_1564971_1564971.strutsAction" value="summary.do" />
    Due to the presence of the “strutsAction” hidden parameter of the previously submitted “review comments”, when the form in the second portlet (“summary”) is submitted, the “review facility comments” are resubmitted erroneously.
    Is this a known issue with oracle portlets? Any thoughts/comments will be appreciated.

    Hi Omar,
    At least for me it does not help much since it looks like they are not talking about relating a parent table with one or more child tables. For me as a beginner with this product, I also wanted to know how to do that. It would be nice if the wizard allowed more then one child table to be related to the parent. When I have time I will look further into how the wizard created the relations and other bits. Also that thread was talking about forms. I noticed that the wizard created two report regions. Since I am an Oracle Forms developer, HTML DB terminology is quite different so I need to kind of re-learn what they are talking about.
    Did you try to make a Master/Detail form with the wizard yet? If you choose to go that route, please let me know how you make out.
    Thanks.
