The perfect solution to scratches has been found!!

Get Over It!!!!
Ive had my 5G ipod for just over a month now. But with all the talk about scratches I was too afraid to touch in the first week. The result was that I was not enjoying it nor was I showing it off!!(which all 5G owners want to do!!)
So thought stuff this, I give up and im going to handle this thing as much as I want to.... The result could not be better.
I only use the case that was provided in the box. Now yes, you do get smudges on the back from handling it. But buy using the case it actually cleans it. The same goes for the front too.
All im saying is if everyone got over this issue I dont think it would not be as bad as it seems to be made out. (cant comment on nano, dont have one!) Sure there are one or two "faint" scratches, but you only see them if you look really hard in certain light.... Fark that, cant be bothered. Enjoy it and move on..

It is hard to "get over it" when the scratches in question impede the ability to view videos on the video ipod clearly. If it was just a music player, fine. But as a video device, I feel that it shouldn't scratch so easily. Take a nail and put a few deep ones in your TV screen, then take some coarse sandpaper and give it a few scuffs. Now try enjoying watching some shows.

Every time I open Iphoto I get the following message:  "A photo has been found in the Iphoto library that was not imported.  Does anyone have any suggestions?

Quit iPhoto and to to the iPhoto library (by default in your pictures folder) - right click (control click) on it and select show package contents - find the folder named import (on importing) and drag it to the desktop - DO NOT MAKE ANY OTHER CHANGES - launch iPhoto and you will be fine.
Open the import(ing) folder and if there is nothing in it that you need move it to the trash and empty the trash

Everytime I open iphoto, my computer tells me,  A photo has been found in the iPhoto Library that was not imported.  Would you like to import it.  If I import it, a message comes up Unreadable file, the following file could not be imported. them it tells me where the file is and it cannot be opened.  If I do not import, then it says,The photo has been placed in the folder /Users/patrick*******/Pictures/iPhoto Library Recovered Photos_4.  It will just keep adding to recvovered photos.  This drives me crazy!!!!!!!  How do I fix this?

I had this problem some months ago and the following solution from Terrence Delvin put things right:
Go to your Pictures Folder and find the iPhoto Library there. Right (or Control-) Click on the icon and select 'Show Package Contents'. A finder window will open with the Library exposed.
Look there for a Folder called 'Import' or 'Importing'.
Drag it to the Desktop. *Make no other changes*.
    Start iPhoto. Does that help?
If it does then look inside that folder on your desktop. Does it contain anything you want? If not you can trash the folder.
However, since connecting a memory stick to my computer, I now have the same problem again.  This time there is no folder called 'Import' or 'Importing' so what should I do?

  • A photo has been found in the iphoto library that has not been imported???

When i open iphoto i get a message saying "a photo has been found in the iphoto library that has not been imported, would you like to import it?" I have tried what everyone is saying to do, but when i look under show package contents there is no import folder to move. only a folder that says contents and i've looked all through that, still no import folder. Even though i click no i do not want the photo imported it still is stored on my external hard drive and every so often i have to go delete TONS of photos and when you click on the photo it doesn't even actually show up as anything.

but when i look under show package contents there is no import folder to move. only a folder that says contents
You're looking at the iPhoto.app package. Those instructions are for the iPhoto Library package. That's in your Pictures Folder.

  • Errors in the OLAP storage engine: A duplicate attribute key has been found when processing

    Hi dear MSDN Community,
I am facing a problem while processing a cube with a customer hierarchy as follows:
Global Account --> Main Customer --> Master Customer --> Customer
The data comes from a flatted parent child table, that is, I create an extra column for every level of the hierarchy in the customer view. If a level is empty, then the value is filled with the previous value. Then I can use the property:
HideMemberIf = OnlyChildWithParentName for the intermediate levels (Main and Master Customer)
HideMemberIf = ParentName For the leafs (Customer)
HideMemberIf = never for the root (Global Account)
    Consider this example:
Then, for the root level I am using as the key the fields in yellow in order to avoid duplicates. However, I am getting the error message "Errors in the OLAP storage engine: A duplicate attribute key has been found when processing" while processing.
I analyzed the query that SSAS issues to the server (select distinct ....) and I think it should work but it is still failing.
I had similar problems with the intermediate levels but I was able to solve it using a similar procedure.
    Any help will be appreciated.
    Kind Regards.

When are you having this error? While processing the dimension or during cube processing?

How to connected my Creative WP-350 Headset to my iMac. The device has been found it will not connect?

You're profile indicates your Mac has v10.5.1 installed.
If that is correct, you need to update to v10.5.8.
Click Software Update from your Apple  menu drop down menu or open System Preferences > Software Update.
After the update is installed, restart your Mac.
Turn off the printer then turn it back on then try printing via USB.
If that didn't help, try here >  Mac OS X 10.5: Included printer drivers

" 3 items could not be synced. See iTunes for more information"  I have searched and I have tried the solutions on the forum. My iPhone has been successfully synced previously on my mac mini without error. I am trying to sync my iPhone with new MacBook Pro.

Modular77:  With respect the dialog on the iPhone 'XX items could not be synced.  See iTunes for more information.' , would you happen to know where to look in iTunes?  I looked in all the places that seemed logical to me.
I am, however, asking only for future reverence, as the initial sync which generated the error dialog was done via USB, and almost immediately after the USB sync, I ran a WiFi Sync—two in a row in fact—both initiated from the iPhone.  Both WiFi syncs completed successfully with no error dialog.
I then ran another USB sync initiated from iTunes on the Macintosh, as was the first sync which gave the error. This second USB sync also completed successfully with no errors.
I think someone in this thread mentioned non-AppleStore products or DMR issues which I think could not have been an issue in my case, as I was running the sync to install updated Apps from the AppStore, and additionally had deleted some music and movie items to make sure there was room for the App updates. Nothing was added other than the recently downloaded App updates from the AppStore.
    iPhone3GS  iOS 5.1.1 build 9B206.
              Developer Profile enabled.  iCloud enabled.
32 GB “disk.” About 1.5 GB free after sync.
              iPhone NOT jailbroken
MacBook 13-inch Aluminum, Late 2008 (NOT Macbook Pro)
         Lion 10.4.7 build 11E53.  2 GB RAM.
Thanks for any info or advice.  Problem IS now solved, but it absorbed a lot of time to reach that point.

It may be that a "metadata attribute" called the "bundle bit" has somehow been set on the Desktop folder, such that the system treats it as a "package" rather than as a folder.
To check for this, click on the Desktop, type command-I (Get Info), and look in the General section of the Info window under "Kind". It should say "Kind: Folder" - if it instead says "Kind:package," then I would proceed as follows:
Download and run the utility File Matey. From its "Choose an Object" window, navigate to the Desktop folder and click Choose. In the next window, see if the box for "Has Bundle bit" is checked:
If so, then uncheck it, and click Apply, then Save.

  • TS4006 I got a email saying my lost iPhone has been found , but I went and checked and it isn't showing up on the map and it hasn't been 24hrs yet since I received the email! Why is this?

I received a email saying my iPhone has been found and when I went to find it on the map in the app , it wasn't showing up on the map and it was in the 24hr time period , is there a way to locate my iPhone?

Sounds to me like there may  be a hardware failure involved. Where exactly did you get the phone? Did you ever have it "unlocked"? If so, by whom? Did you ever jailbreak it?

  • No PPPoE server has been found for the specified service.

I am getting the following error message when connecting to our ISP via PPPoE. I have a PC that connects to the ISP no with problems.
Have tried creating a new service but still have the same problem.
    Error message
No PPPoE server has been found for the specified service. Please delete the service name option ans try again.

Not sure what you are trying to do but it PPPoE (Point to Point Protocol over Ethernet) connection and authentication will be handled at the modem.
This is only true if the modem has an integrated PPPoE client most Modems dont have this. A modem/router does have this but may need reconfiguring if the ISP supplied it in bridged mode.

  • A photo has been found in the iPhoto Library that was not imported

Every time I open iPhoto, I receive this error.
I've already read through the posts on here that state to "simply go to the iPhoto library folder and delete.... " and so on an so forth....
My problem? I don't have an iPhoto Library folder in my Pictures folder. I don't have an iPhoto Library folder anywhere on my hard disk. I do have an icon for iPhoto Library in my Pictures folder, but it's not a folder. It's a shortcut to the iPhoto program.
This has been happening for a while now, and I'm so thoroughly irritated that I'm ready to give up on iPhoto altogether. Help!

  • Windows backup reports when restore is attempted that no drive has been found.

The backup is duly found, but restore (of Windows 7) cannot proceed, since the setup of the repair disc reports that no (target drive) is found.
Is there a solution for this?
    KR
    Joe

    Hi 549toast,
Would you please explain the issue more detailed ?
Are you performing a system restore from a repair disk and you will get a "no drive has been found "notification ?Or perfoming a system recovery from an image created before?
Have you got any error code ?Have you tried other restore points or other backup image(This will help us to verify whether it is caused by the machine or the image or the restore point) ?Can we get into the machine now ?
If we can get into the machine ,please try the following steps to have a troubleshoot :
1.Run "sfc /scannow"to check the health of the system files.
2.Update or reinstall the disk drivers from the device manager.
    Best regards

  • SM Diagnostics Warning " No landscape element has been found "

    Hi All,
I am in the process of setting up the SM Diagnostics on Sol Man 4.0 SP10. I have deployed the LMSERVICE11_0-20001429.SCA file when I login as J2EE_Admin to SM Diagnostics I see the following warning
Warning : <b></b>No landscape element has been found. There might be none or you are not authorized to see any of them.
I am not sure if I can go ahead with SMD wizard before I clear this warning.
    Thanks

    Hello Paula,
I've tried SMDIAG_WIZARD but it also ended with error :
<i>The data could not be passed to the Solution Manager Diagnostics.
Solution Manager Diagnostics error message: <--Localization failed: ResourceBundle='com.sap.engine.services.rfcengine.RFCRes

Check the RFC connection and the Solution Manager Diagnostics configuration
    </i>
I've checked the RFC connection n found no error. I've also checked SMD config, it looked fine. But, I'm still wondering there is no RFC setting in SMSY for non-ABAP system. any idea ?
    Thx n Regards,
