The plus sign on my calendar has disappeared....can't add events?.

The plus sign in the lower right corner of the calendar app that allows you to add events to the calendar has disappeared. I have turned the iPad off and back on....recharged it....nothing. Help!

Go to Settings>iCloud>Calendar>On. Toggle the setting on and off. Leave it on if you want to sync with iCloud, but do not sync the calendar with your computer if you sync with iCloud or you will get duplicate events.

SharePoint Calendar changed and can't add events

Hello -
All of the calendars within my SharePoint sites were somehow modified. The calendars look plain and different now and I don't have the option to add events to them, even though I am the site admin. The first image
shows what the calendar used to look like. the 2nd image is what it looks like now. Any ideas what could have caused this to happen?

Can you browse http://site/_layouts/viewlsts.aspx and check Calendar list shows how many items ?
If it shows some numbers then you can create / change view and check those items in Calendar.
Else if you said earlier they have been modified / deleted you can check recycle bin / site level or secondary level to get those items back.
Or
If you have any old backup then you can restore it to some temp site and check for the content.
Additionally from above images it seems someone changed default view via changing XSLT

I feel better knowing I wasn't going crazy this morning. After spending the last 15 hours tweaking iTunes Match, I was afraid the service was draining my battery, but then I just let it sit idle on my desk at work and periodicaly checked it, every 30 minutes I lost 5% when it was in standby. When I was checking mail in 5 minutes, the battery drained 1% each minute. After a full night charge last night the day of standby has brought me down to 43%. I normally charge my 4s every other night, and I listen to Pandora and TuneIn Radio regularly. I have a feeling it hasn't affected everyone, just like I had no issue before, but clearly have a massive issue now.
SERIOUSLY, APPLE. Make an announcement acknowledging this garbage. If my device doesn't get its normal battery life back, the poor folks at my local Apple Store are going to have my family and I raging the place.

Well, it looks like you have an iMac, but if you go to the Apple menu, click About This Mac, then More Info, you'll see a hardware model number at the top. It might look like "iMac3,1". That will help us translate it into a year.
When you say your programs have gone, are you just looking at the dock (the line of apps at the bottom of the screen), or have you also gone to the Applications folder (click the Finder, then Applications) and verified that they've been deleted?
There are two possibilities that I can think of - either your install wiped the hard drive (it's possible to do that, but shouldn't happen by default), or you're logged into a different user account than your normal one. You could try going to System Preferences - Accounts, and check if there are multiple users listed there.

you don't need to use iTunes to restore your old phone to factory settings.
Just go into settings on your old iPhone and reset .. it will take it back to factory set-up with the cable showing on the front of the screen. All your content will be permanently erased from the old iPhone.

Go to Setting, select and set up iCloud, then turn on Calendar option. It should work after this is done. Hope this helps.

Assuming you're creating this event to place in your calendar, and assuming this calendar is shared with your iMac and iPad using iCloud, might the calendar be restricted on your iPhone?
Check Settings > General > Restrictions

After IOS 5, iCal is missing the Plus Sign

After I updated to IOS 5, the iCal app is missing the Plus sign. Everything else seems OK, but there is no plus sign to add a new calendar entry.
I will try to restore/backup and see if it comes back, but I'd really appreciate any advice you might have.

Just found another post, where the problem seemed to be due to the way sync with iTunes was set up. I'll check that out.
