The preview in browser function is not working in DW CC 2014.1
I just installed WAMP 2.5 on my local Win 8.1 machine. All files transfer to the test server fine and all is working. However, when I open pages from Dreamweaver in preview I get a URL not found error. The pages open fine in all browsers when I open them directly in Windows Explorer. I changed the HOSTS file in windows as recommended in the WAMP 2.5 setup for using virtual hosts as follows:
127.0.0.1 localhost
127.0.0.1 project1
127.0.0.1 sttest.dev
::1 localhost
::1 project1
::1 sttest.dev
where sttest is my local website project folder for the test server.
Any help or ideas would be appreciated.

I figured our the problem. In WAMP if you're using Virtual Hosts, you have to point to a folder under the www folder either in the WAMP main folder or other spot. I had designated a Project1 localhost, but had failed to create a Project1 folder under the c:\WAMP\www folder. So I set up a more specific folder as c:\WAMP\www\STTest1 as a project folder and then edited my HOSTS file to:
127.0.0.1 localhost
127.0.0.1 sttest1
::1 localhost
::1 sttest1
Since I had previously had 127.0.0.1 Project1 statement in my HOSTS file but no Project1 folder, the Dreamweaver could not find the html page on my local server. So for now, all is good.

Is there a way to use the preview in browser function without an Internet connection?
This morning our cable modem was down and I was making some changes to a page in a Muse site I'm designing. I wanted to preview the changes in a browser, but when I clicked on the Preview button (or clicked on preview in browser), I received a notification that it was checking for an Internet connection and the preview page never completed. Is there a way to use the preview in browser function in Muse without an Internet connection?
Thanks for getting back to me! When our cable modem went down, we were still connected to Airport Base Station, and perhaps it appeared to Muse that we did have an Internet connection. In any case, we have now received a new cable modem and our network is working again. As you suggested, I disconnected from the network and tried preview in Muse again, and now it seems to be working just fine. Perhaps it was just the circumstances of our network problem this morning. Good to know I can use the Muse Preview function off-line!

Crystal Report for VS2010 - The Go To Page function does not work
When running a report into Crystal(VS2010), the Go To Page function does not work. Typing in a page number and pressing Enter does not take you to that page. The report remains on the current page. I'm not sure if there is suppose to be a button like the one in Crystal 8.5(VS2008).
As long as you are using the CR assemblies for VS .NET, the viewer (Win) should look like this:
Remember, the ActiveX viewer based on the Report Designer Component (RDC, referencing craxdrt.dll) is not supported in VS 2010.

Browse functionality does not work in JVM1.4.2
Hi,
I have sun's jvm 1.4.2_04 and OS is Netware (NW60SP5) or it can be Linux as well.
While installing an application( Groupwise ) when you click on a browse button, a directory search box pops up, which only shows a list of server icons but without their cooresponding letters or names.
Has anyone faced this problem before ?
Any information will be very useful to me.

Anand.Without knowing more, I would suspect that this is not a Java question. And that may be why no one has responded. It sounds more like a problem with the installation of the application "Groupwise".

Palm Desk Top 6.2 Address Look Up Function Does Not Work In Windows 7
I recently upgraded my desk top computer's operating system from Windows Vista Home Premium to Windows 7 Home Premium. I synchronize with a Palm Tx PDA. HP PalmOS customer support Chat helped me work through a compatibility issue that was preventing display of Address, Calendar, Memo and To Do items on my desk top computer via the Palm Desk Top 6.2 application. I now find that the address look up function does not work (although it worked fine when I was running Vista). Without success, I tried running the repair tool as well as reloading the software (both overlay and clean reinstall). I would appreciate any help or suggestions to fix?

New iMac (10.9.4) & now my HP Photosmart 6520 "scan to computer" function does not work
Recently upgraded to a new iMac running 10.9.4. Printing works well from this computer and all other devices (iPad, iPhone, etc.). However, the "scan to computer" function does not work. In the "Scan" section of HP Utility when I click on "Scan to Computer" the error message reads "Scan to Computer Cannot Be Enabled. The software required for Scan to Computer could not be located on this computer. Please download and install the latest HP recommended software for your device from http://www.hp.com/support, and then try again.
Of course I have done this... twice... still no luck. Also ran Software Update and there was an update, but it made no difference.Yes, did all that... in order. It did not resolve the problem. However, I did find what appears to be the answer. After re-installing the driver software DO NOT immediately follow the prescribed steps. Instead, quit the installer, restart the Mac, and an Apple software update will appear after restart. Install that software update, and even though the computer and software do not call for it, restart the Mac again. Only then add the printer and follow the balance of the steps. It works! Thank you for your help.

Paste functionality suddenly not working
I currently use Captivate 3. I have been working on a project where I have been editting the background image in Photoshop and pasting the editted version as a background to the original slide. Captivate is no longer pasting the image as a background. I do recieve the warning message, but when I click OK, the old image is not replaced. I also tried it on a blank slide and the slide remained blank.
As I was trouble shooting I realized the paste as image functionality is not working either.
I am able to save images, import them to the library and then replace the background using the slide properties,,, but this takes way too long when you have 50 slides to edit.
Any thoughts as to what is happening?

Perhaps try restarting Captivate. Sometimes it gets tangled in memory and needs a kick in the pants to straighten itself out.

I have acrobat pro on my lap top and recently installed acrobat pro on my Mac Mini, but the text recognition function is not working, does anyone have any advice on how to remedy this problem?
On my laptop when I open up a pdf file and do a search for a particular
text phrase it prompts me to run a character analysis. Whereas on my mac
mini, when I try to engage the same process it just says it couldn't find
the phrase and doesn't even try and run a character analysis. I tried
clicking on the tool bar and the recognize text tab but nothing there seems
to do anything.
In trying to figure out the issue on my own I noticed one thing. I run a
small law firm in St. Louis and I scan in all my files to which are
subsequently emailed to my outlook account where I will save them as pdf's
to their respective folders. On my laptop when I open up an email from my
scanner I see the image of a acrobat document next to the attachment
paperclip symbol. However, when I open up the same email on my mac mini I
notice instead of an acrobat file image it shows a Preview file image (the
program used to open up pdf's before I installed acrobat).

Since I installed Lion on my macbook the LED light does not pulse when I close the screen - the sleep function does not work neither when chosen after pressing the button nor chosen in the apple menu..
I have had the same problem but on another forum it was suggested that disabling internet sharing would solve this. This fix seems to work on my machine - why it works I do not understand

Sorry I had to reply through your profile Gail from Maine, my PC has java issues. In any event, when I delete them directly from my device everything is perfect and cool. However, in the rare instance I want to add new music that I actually buy in stores (I know, quite the unique and old-fashioned idea...but hey Im an audiophile) once I upload the tunes, everytime I sync my library it re-adds everything that I spent hours deleting. In a perfect world, I thought I could maintain a massive iTunes Library, and add or delete (remove) songs from my iPhone to save both memory or keep my iPhone selections more current/apt to my musical "tastes" at that time. I know about the whole playlist thing, but thought there might be an easier way. ie - checking/un-checking the little box next to the song name, and then doing a sync. Again, everytime I do this however, whether everything is checked or un-checked it adds the entire library! So frustrating. Any suggestions. Thank you graiously in advance for your help.

all the links in the header of any websites are not working, the cursor is not changing into pointer and no way to click on any link located at the top of any website page. I reinstalled firefox and it s the same. No problem in others browser. the tool bar is working but not the links inside any web page located between the top 300px height.

I have a MacBook, made in 2010. I can't get the eject function to work. I have a DVD in now and want to eject it and put another one in. Command-E, dragging it to the trash or Find-Eject does not work. Ideas?
Hi there. Hear are some other options . Hold down for click on the track pad while restarting and keep it down all the way thru boot. Or use right click on a mouse. If it's stuck, sometimes sticking a business card in top edge of slot while trying the eject option can work.

The download function is not working....!! I don't use any add-ons like idm or dap,etc.... When I click on something like download a doc,pdf or any such file, the firefox just doesn't respond, and when I checked the download, i.e. cntrl+j, I don't find anything in the downloads... I am currently using Firefox 7.0.1....... Nothing is being downloaded, and I am forced to use IE8 for everything... I even tried re-installing, but doesn't help... I am using Windows 7
TonyE is correct the plugin version comes with Adobe's Reader X.
The failure in communication is two parted:
1. Reader X is not Acrobat (Mozilla Plugin Checker)
2. Acrobat is not mentioned in the Reader X download Page (Adobe)
therefore confused clients.
