Every time I open itune, the program 'AppleMobileDeviceService.exe' will use at least half of the CPU, how comes like this?

Since the issue can always be caused by incompatible shell extension or driver conflict.
We can first use shellexView to disable non-Microsoft related extensions of Windows Explorer to see what’s going on:
1. Download ShellExView v1.41 from the following link

2. Extract "shexview.zip" file and open shexview.exe. It will scan the registry for all the shell extensions.
3. Select all the non-Microsoft extensions in pink by press "Ctrl" in the keyboard.
4. Click the "Disable Selected Items" on the toolbar and click Yes.
5. Restart your computer and check if the issue is resolved.
If the issue persists, then test the issue in Clean Boot and Safe Mode, and let me know the results.
Meanwhile, please configure Windows to create user-mode dumps. Create a System Restore Point first.
If you copy and paste the following in Notepad and save as a .reg file, then right-click the .reg file and select "Merge" to add to the registry, a .dmp file at the time explorer.exe crashes should be created in the C:\CrashDumps folder:

Msinfo32:Application hang. The program thunderbird.exe version 31.2.0.05 stopped interacting with Windows and was closed.

I've tried installing, reinstalling and removing and installing itunes 9.1 but the program will not start. I have clicked on the desktop shortcut, the itunes.exe in the program folder but all i get is a brief loading hourglass and then nothing. I have checked in task manager and the programs itunes.exe and ituneshelper.exe are in the processes window but the program is not visible on the desktop.
Starting some basic-principles troubleshooting here, if you're game.
The first thing to try isn't a cure in itself, but can rule out some possible causes of problems, and narrow in on others. We're going to check to see if this is a systemwide issue or if it is specific to one particular user account.
From the Start menu, choose Control Panel.
Open Add or remove user accounts (If using the Classic View in Windows Vista, open User Accounts. Then open Manage another account).
Select Create a new account and follow the instructions to complete the account setup process. Give the new user account full administrative rights.
Once the new account is created, choose Log Off from the Start menu. Log into the newly created user account. (Don't use fast user switching to move between accounts.)
Launch itunes in the new account. The setup assistant will/should run. Do not add any files when prompted to do so (if things get that far). Just let it eventually open to an empty library.

How do I lower the applemobiledeviceservice.exe*31 cpu usage? It is running between 10-16% of my cpu usage for my laptop. Even if I shut it down in the windows task manager it starts back up in a few minutes. I am running windows 7.

If your still having beachball issues, what I suspect has occured (which a lot of people mistakenly do) is the hard drive got sectors damaged when the computer was moved/bumped while it was in operation.
The fix for this (and anything else) is rather drastic, all user data off the Macintosh HD will have to be removed, the entire partition Disk Utility > Erase with Secure Zero (or middle selection option), OS X reinstalled and updated, programs reinstalled and files returned.
If one has a previous uneffected bootable clone or TimeMachine backup that can be used to restore.

What is the correct location and file size of AppleMobileDeviceService.exe on Windows7 x64? iTunes (iTunes64Setup.exe)?

I am still trying to get the AMD service to start. I currently have it installed in "C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Apple\Mobile Device Support\bin\AppleMobileDeviceService.exe". The file size is 54K. Can somebody confirn that both values are correct?

That's weird, I created the bin folder. The install puts it in the "C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Apple\Mobile Device Support" folder.

Never mind -- I just found it under Tools/Options.../Applications, where I changed the incorrect association of "nlmcp" from Windows Media Player to the correct one, NetLibrary Media Center. Done!

Getting error message : the item Itunes.exe that this shortcut refers to has been changed or moved so this shortcut will no longer work properly. I get this either using the start menu or the desktop shortcut. I tried going to programs /itunes and repair.

I think it is some sort of permissions issue preventing the installer from updating the shortcuts. Is your account an administrator of the machine? If it is and you still have the problem then you may need to explicitly use the "Administrator" account for the install.

Build exe is working but the program is not

i have build an exe, everything went fine. I opened the exe and want to start the program via "Übernehmen". Then I get the attached error message. It's an old Labview Version (2009) which I converted in 2014. Do I miss sth I should add to get a successfull program via exe?

1. yes, it is running fine in the development environment. There are no errors when I start the main.vi. I can open the program and work with it etc.
2. yes, the old version is working. It's 2009, I installed 2009 Runtime and I can open the .exe and work with it.
3. concerning 2009 .exe see my answer at 2. When I start .exe which is converted AND build in 2014, the first screen is working. Then I press the "Übernehmen" Button and I got the attached error. Yes, it says "the program is not working".
I don't know if there were custom actions. I got this project from a former colleague... :/

I tried updating my plugins and tried reinstalling Firefox 4 but no good. The error doesn't seem to cause any problem but it's just extremely annoying seeing it pops up every time I turn on my computer. The error goes away if I reinstall Firefox 3.6

The following has only transpired recently. It concerns Windows 7 and my C6380 All-In-One.
It appears to be a registry issue. I am experienced and have tried even more than that listed below.
On launching the "HP Solution Centre", I receive the following error message:-
“Hpqdirec.exe – System error.
The program can’t start because ATL90.DLL is missing from your computer. Try reinstalling the program to fix this problem."
Are you able to advise on how I can resolve this issue. Clearly, I want to avoid a complete clean install of my PC.
What I have tried
- Complete Install, Reboot, Install of the HP Software
- Restore points
- Running virus scanners
- Windows "Start-up Repair"
, - Running RegZooka

I can think of a couple of possibilities here.
One, if this was an upgrade from XP or Vista, then it is possible that the file is just not there in the operating system. Or if some other uninstallation removed it unknowingly. Not likely but possible.
More likely, some sort of security software (firewall/antivirus/malware) blocked part of the installation. This could result in missing HP items and/or missing linkage to operating system necessities. You might try reinstalling with the security software disabled or off completely. At the minimum, with options to allow the HP installation full access during the install.
