The error messages are perfectly normal warnings, by the way - those files shouldn't be in the final V-TS folder, and DVDSP removes them automatically for you. The fact they are there at all is also down to DVDSP - they are information files which the app uses when building.
The term 'build' is used when describing the multiplexing process and the creation of a (temporary) set of folders on your hard drive. These will appear in the location you specify in the dialogue box. Formatting, on the other hand, is the process of burning a disc... in effect it is being formatted to the Universal Disc Format which is necessary for it to play in a DVD set top player. The terms can eb confusingf, and when the disc burns so fast it's sometimes hard to believe it has burnt at all.
One thing to be careful of is that a faster burn speed can introduce incompatibilities when you play the disc in some players (not all, mind you). The general advice when burning a critical project to DVD-R is to use Toast to burn it as slowly as you can, to keep the maximum video bitrate down to no more than 7.4MBPS, to use compressed audio (AC3, aka Dolby Digital) and don't stick a paper label onto the disc itself. Even then errors can creep in, but these help minimise their occurence.

Whentrying to uninstall iTunes (the first program that must be uninstalled per the instructions) I get a message: A network error occurred while attempting to read file: C:\Windows|Installer|iTunes.msi. I can't even uninstall iTunes?
(1) Download the Windows Installer CleanUp utility installer file (msicuu2.exe) from the following Major Geeks page (use one of the links under the "DOWNLOAD LOCATIONS" thingy on the Major Geeks page).

After clicking one of the circled links, you should be taken to another page, and after a few seconds you should see a download dialog appear for the msicuu2.exe file. Here's a screenshot of what it looks like for me in Firefox:
Choose to Save the file. If the dialog box does not appear for you, click the link on the page that says "CLICK HERE IF IT DOES NOT". Here's a screenshot of the page with the relevant link circled:
When the dialog appears, choose to save the file.
(2) Go to the Downloads area for your Web browser. Doubleclick the msicuu2.exe file and follow the prompts to install the Windows Installer CleanUp utility. (If you're on a Windows Vista or Windows 7 system and you get a Code 800A0046 error message when doubleclicking the msicuu2.exe file, try instead right-clicking on the msicuu2.exe file and selecting "Run as administrator".)
(3) In your Start menu click All Programs and then click Windows Install Clean Up. The Windows Installer CleanUp utility window appears, listing software that is currently installed on your computer.
(4) In the list of programs that appears in CleanUp, select any iTunes entries and click "Remove", as per the following screenshot:

Appears essential to keep resource-forked data off Lion disk:
First attempt with Eudora on SL VM was sharing data on Lion disk. Error messages on open like "can't find Table of Contents" suggest Lion ate resource forks crucial to Eudora.
Found success by transferring data from SL Mac to thumb drive, then mounted drive in SL VM so Lion couldn't touch.
While Michael warns against storing data in VM, appears there's no choice with Eudora. At least She's enthroned on a mirrored RAID.
There is Nothing like Eudora! (to tune of "There is Nothing Like a Dame" from South Pacific -- Oops! my gray hair is showing!)
(It's amazing Parallels can force Lion to store taboo resource forks. Thank God for code warriors!)

An example of the rants you will see from a lot here. Don't be put off as these problems are generally user specific, and these same old comments come out after the release of every OSX I can remember. When Lion is upgraded to the next OSX you can gaurentee these forums will be full of people screaming about how great Lion was. Happened with Tiger, Leopard and Snow Leopard.
So come to think of it you may be better off Googling sites that give you unbiased views on Lion, rather than expect any positive comments here. For every one complaint there are probably 100,000 people with no issues.

Do you have a MAC or Windows ?
For Windows, you can launch Windows Task Manager and go to Processes Tab, kill "Firefox.exe"
For MAC, you can launch Activity Monitor and Force Quit "Firefox"

Is it a Windows version you are trying to put on a Mac?
If it was a downloaded version, it is operating system specific. If it was a disc, it should work on both.

This error is a little generic at times and there are a few things that could be happening here. Please put in a ticket here for an advisor to check into details:
