The Progress Bar in Downloading is Stuck.
Hi Guys.
I have downloaded ibooks on my Ipad 2 (IOS 7) and have had trouble downloading it. The progress bar is stuck and won't move. I've tried rebooting, retyping my Apple ID and shutting it down but it still is just slides back to the same progress.
It's a fifth of the way down as well, and I've made sure I'm connected to Wi-Fi!
Help would be greatlt appreciated!
Thanks, Zephyr.
Hi,
It may be a problem with the installer so you need to contact the app developer > Timeline 3D Help

Looking for the progression bar when downloading data
We are accessing firefox via a compression software, Xgate. The data we download most is a shortened version of the 4day weather charts. There is a way to lower the quality of the detail( a bloke showed us but he is no longer available), but we can't find it. it was a movable bar which could be adjusted with the mouse. Please help At present the page continually upgrades until it is perfect. Less than perfect will do for our needs.

Dai.Hi,,,,
Double # (##) means the file is tab delimited.
When you download the file from application server use cl_abap_char_utilities=>horizontal_tab to split fields into separate variables.
Using this variable populate a ITAB then upload it to presentation server.
CLEAR: p_l_string.
READ DATASET p_fname INTO p_l_string.
EOF reached
IF sy-subrc <> 0.
EXIT.
ELSE.
CLEAR: wa_final,
l_length.
IF l_count <> '1'.
SPLIT p_l_string AT c_tab INTO wa_final-char_c
wa_final-value
wa_final-desc
wa_final-ldesc.
IF wa_final-char_c IS NOT INITIAL.
l_char_c = wa_final-char_c.
ENDIF.
wa_final-char_c = l_char_c.
APPEND wa_final TO i_final.

Problem with a progress bar for downloading attachment
I display the progress bar for downloading attachments and it works fine … but when I am downloading some attachments I get the exception message:
Exception in thread "main" com.sun.mail.util.DecodingException: BASE64Decoder: Error in encoded stream: needed 4 valid base64 characters but only got 1 before EOF, the 10 most recent characters were: "Q3w5ilxj2P"
I found the explanation:
Certain IMAP servers do not implement the IMAP Partial FETCH
functionality properly. This problem typically manifests as corrupt
email attachments when downloading large messages from the IMAP
server. To workaround this server bug, set the
"mail.imap.partialfetch"
property to false. You'll have to set this property in the Properties
object that you provide to your Session.
http://java.sun.com/products/javamail/NOTES113.txt
So I turned off partial fetch:
Properties props = System.getProperties();
props.setProperty("mail.store.protocol", "imaps");
props.setProperty("mail.imaps.partialfetch", "false");
Session session = Session.getDefaultInstance(props, null);
Store store = session.getStore("imaps");
store.connect("imap.gmail.com", "<username>","<password>");this solved the problem ….however the method getInputStream() from the Part class blocks the thread until the attachment is completely downloaded and it is impossible to get the information about the number of bytes which have been already downloaded from mailbox.
Without this information it is impossible to display the progress bar. So is there a way to obtain this information and display the progress bar?

Ok so i downloaded the 4.3.3 update and tried updating but it got stuck about a quarter of the way along the progress bar and won't move. I unplugged it and plugged it in again then tried a restore, it did the same thing, i've done it about 5 times now and it still gets stuck in the same spot each time. I put it into DFU mode and tried a restore but it still won't. Help?

Internet recovery gets stuck on the spinning globe with the progress bar below.
Hello Everybody!
I'm trying to fix the iMac (27-inch, Mid 2010) of my friend. He said it doesn't boot anymore and just gets stuck on the grey screen with the Apple logo and the spinning wheel below. So my first step was to go into the Startup Manager by pressing the Option key after the chime. There I was presented with the Macintosh HD and the Recovery HD. After selecting the Recovery HD to access the Disk Utilities I got stuck on the grey screen with the Apple logo and the spinning wheel again. So I guess the data on the drive is corrupted and might have to be replaced. But before I do that, I wanted to give the Internet Recovery a try. I connected the iMac to the internet using an ethernet cable and pressed Command + Option + R after the chime and the spinning globe appeared with the info: "starting recovery process from network. This may take a while". After a short time the sentences are replaced by a progress bar and a timer that is counting up. The progress bar then moved for a tiny little bit and then nothing happens anymore but the timer keeps counting up. I waited for quiet some time before I gave up. I did not get any errors so I can't provide any other useful information. Can anyone give my some advice? I read in other posts that the ISPs of specific countries block ports which are needed for the internet recovery. I'm in Thailand right now. Does anyone know if that might cause the problem?
Thank you for all your help!Neither we nor Apple support jailbroken iDevices.

Now it's stuck with the progress bar less than a quarter full. I have also tried resetting through itunes which works right up to the point where itunes states that it needs the passcode to be inputted into the ipad to connect to it. At which point it then sticks at the same progress bar point. HELP!! please, this ipad is really important to my work.
Well the term "hotlined" I have never heard before. In any case many states (like NY) just passed regulatory powers to the State Public Service Commission of which it may be called something different in your state. You could file a complaint with them. Or file a complaint with your state attorney generals office, they also take on wireless providers.
The problem here is the staff you speak to are poorly trained, in days gone by it took one call to them and they pulled up your account and see the error and had the authority to remove any errors. They did not remove legitimate account actions, but used their heads instead of putting a customer off or worse lying to the customer.
Its a shame you have to go through what you going through.

I have a Mac Pro tower am running OSX and iTunes will not work. It has always worked flawlessly. I can see all my iTunes content- my playlists, my songs et cetera, But I cannot play anything. The progress bar is 'stuck'...any suggestions?
Thanks. I have been using iTunes since its inception and have never had a problem...I'm using the latest version. The progress bar is the bar that moves when you're playing a song..it just won't start when I double click on a song,..have tried quitting, rebooting etc but nothing works. Apple are useless-they have told me twice they've tried to call me 'momentarily', but I've been waiting by the phone, and they definitely have not tried to call...

Why I cannot see the progress bar whenever I download my apps directly from my App Store ?
Whenever I install an app, I cannot see the app's icon on the home screen and then when I proceed into the home page, the apps will not be installed unless I stay into the App Store and wait till the circle on the top of the screen stop turning. It is really very inconvenient. I'm using iPhone 4S. Anyone knows the solution? And I'm can't see the progress bar showing whether its downloading. I'm using IOS 6. And I've got another issue. Why whenever I want to reinstall the youtube they would say its free. When I press the 'free' it will go into the 'install' and then when I press the 'install', it would go back to 'free' and because of that I'm unable to download youtube. It's only youtube I'm able to install other apps. But ya, I cannot see the progress bar. Help anyone?
Actually, the app is there, and it asks to PAY AGAIN, that was the issue, but I have just solved the problem using your first advice, as I tried a few times with different names in my account.
For example, you told me to use the same ID...
I have a ONE account, but sometimes I sign in as [email protected] and sometimes I sign in as [email protected] and sometimes I sign in as [email protected] and that made all the difference, as I tried them all and finally with [email protected] worked and gave me the opportunity to download again.
Thanks a lot for the tip.

At the end of the installation process (Clean install, new 500GB internal hard drive, formatted and partitioned, MacBook 13" Aluminum, late 2008) the progress bar stalls and eventually a drop down error message appears "Can't download the additional components needed to install OS X". I am using a USB 8 GB bootable flash drive. Any ideas?

Turn your iPad off.
Hold down the Home button and plug it into your computer. Keep holding the Home button until you see a screen telling you to connect to iTunes.
iTunes should show you a popup saying that there is an iPad that is in Recovery Mode and needs to be restored before you can use it. Click OK.
