The Recording Academy's 2014 Winners

The Recording Academy’s 56th annual awards show has now come and gone and, as expected, it was a night of unforgettable moments and incredible performances. This year's show was hosted by LL Cool J again and featured a number of interesting collaborative performances.
These award shows seem to find artists to perform together that you would never imagine sharing the stage. This year was no different with Metallica returning to the show for the first time in 23 years to perform with Lang Lang, Stevie Wonder performing with Daft Punk, Kendrick Lamar performing with Imagine Dragons, Robin Thicke performing with Chicago and Paul McCartney performing with Ringo Starr. There were also performances from four-time nominee Lorde and two-time nominee Katy Perry among others.
Let's take a look at the winners for the four biggest categories of awards, along with the category that I'm most looking forward to, Best Alternative Music Album.
Record of the Year
Winner: "Get Lucky" - Daft Punk feat. Pharrell Williams

"Get Lucky" - Daft Punk feat. Pharrell Williams (Winner)
Daft Punk released their fourth studio album, Random Access Memories, in 2013 that included the very successful song, “Get Lucky.” This song is also nominated for Best Pop Duo/Group Performance, while the album is nominated for Album of the Year, Best Dance/Electronica Album and Best Engineered Album, Non-Classical for a total of five nominations for Daft Punk.
"Radioactive" – Imagine Dragons
Imagine Dragons’ debut album, Night Visions, contains the incredibly popular and catchy song “Radioactive.” This song is nominated for both Record of the Year and Best Rock Performance for a total of two nominations for Imagine Dragons.
"Royals" – Lorde
Lorde released her very successful debut album, Pure Heroine, in 2013 when she was just 16. Along with Record of the Year, “Royals” is also nominated for Song of the Year and Best Pop Solo Performance. Pure Heroine is nominated for Best Pop Vocal Album for a total of four nominations for Lorde.
"Locked Out of Heaven" – Bruno Mars
Bruno Mars’ second studio album, Unorthodox Jukebox, contains the hit song “Locked Out of Heaven.” Along with Record of the Year, this song is also nominated for Song of the Year, while “When I Was Your Man from the same album is nominated for Best Pop Solo Performance. Unorthodox Jukebox is nominated for Best Pop Vocal Album for a total of three nominations for Bruno Mars.
"Blurred Lines" – Robin Thicke feat. T.I. and Pharrell
Robin Thicke’s sixth album, Blurred Lines, contains the hugely successful song of the same name. Along with Record of the Year, the song “Blurred Lines” is also nominated for Best Pop Duo/Group Performance while the album is nominated for Best Pop Vocal Album for a total of three nominations for Robin Thicke.

Random Access Memories – Daft Punk (Winner)
Daft Punk’s fourth studio album, Random Access Memories, was released in May of 2013. The album features many collaborations with other artists and has been very critically successful. Album of the Year is just one of six nominations for Daft Punk’s Random Access Memories this year along with Best Dance/Electronica Album and Best Engineered Album, Non-Classical. The single “Get Lucky” is also nominated for Best Pop Duo Group Performance and Record of the Year.
Good Kid: M.A.A.D City – Kendrick Lamar
Kendrick Lamar released his second studio album, Good Kid: M.A.A.D City, in late 2012. Kendrick Lamar has a total of seven nominations this year with Good Kid: M.A.A.D City nominated for both Album of the Year and Best Rap Album. He is also nominated for Best New Artist, along with song nominations for Best R&B Performance, Best Rap Performance, Best Rap/Sung Collaboration and Best Rap Song.
The Heist – Macklemore & Ryan Lewis
Macklemore & Ryan Lewis’ debut studio album, The Heist, charted very quickly with the help of singles like “Thrift Shop,” “Can’t Hold Us” and “Same Love.” The Heist is nominated for both Album of the Year and Best Rap Album, and Macklemore & Ryan Lewis are nominated for Best New Artist. I have two table 1. Holiday 2. Attendance.
When I insert the record    in holiday table for his
advance holiday   with empid, the same time I want to insert it attendance table
automatically for the same date using a trigger
Insert into attendance (empid,date,holiday) values (20078,07/10/2014,1). If holiday column value 1 represent holiday marked,
0 represent holiday not marked. The same thing can happen vice versa
If employee mark his current attendance as holiday through attendance,
it should   be inserted into holiday table
automatically using triggers.

According to your description, if you want to synchronize the data between the holiday table and the attendance table while inserting records into holiday table, you need to create a trigger on the holiday table, please try the following syntax.

Auto record meeting/ class and view/ share the recording.

I have integrated my adobe connect account to be able to trigger the meeting from moodle. Any idea how I can get my students to have a recording of their class session once it is completed and view the recording inside of their moodle account? We are an eLearning company.
Preferably, the meeting/ class session should be auto recorded without the users (teacher or student) having to manually record the session. Our account only has one host enabled. Both student and teacher will enter the class as presenters (classes are 1 on 1).
Apparently only hosts have the ability to record the class and it would be abit of a bother if I would have to enter every class and record it. Any auto record class/meeting session function?

Delete the records which have the Data values are NULL before load data to BPC model

Hi Everyone,
I am loading the data from flat file to BPC Model (10.0 Version).
Source data (Flat file) looks like below:
RP_Employee RPT_Currency Data

Test2              USD                    6
My user requirement is that to delete the records which have the Data values are NULL before load data to BPC model.
So,Please let me know how can i meet to this requirement.
I am thinking that,it is possible by using start routine BADi. If i am correct please let me know process like creation of class and BADi implementation.

If data value is ZULL, then the Employee or another dimension is also NULL.
So I want to delete second records.

The Record select is excluding rows

The following record select formula, is not showing rows which we want to see. The user passes a month and year param and then we show the not sold
for that month year as well as the previous month.
However, we do want to show rows that did not sell for the entire year and even years back. This formula is only showing the rows that had some sales in the past 2years. It's better use for management to see all items not selling also years back to the last sale.

hi Paul,
if you've got a situation where your query is not bringing back all combinations of the records that you want, and no combination of table joins (e.g. left outer or right outer) and record filter syntax gives you the results you need, then you may want to start thinking about creating a command object or stored procedure that produces / brings back those records.
so, if your database does not include a value for product A sold in january 2014, then you may need to manufacture that record.
this particular blog post will show you 3 different methods of bringing back product & month combinations.

i just explained how i have done it.
i just simply gone into Debug mode. there
code = Dele.
i have given. then i came out from debug mode to Table. there i just got Delete button on application tool bar.
i selected the record then icliked on Delete button.
it is got deleted.
But it is not asking for any new Transport Request.

How to delete the records in BI for deleted reocrds in R/3

Hi ,
We have a scenarion described below...
We have a table in R/3 and updates happen to the table every week with a ZPROGRAM which deletes some of the records and recreates with some logic.
Assuming :
Initially, We did the load to BI and we got 200 records for last week (Initial Load)
After R/3 prgram is ran, it deletes some of the reocrds in those table , say we only have 150.
Now, Can BW somehow know , what are those records and delete those 50 records from the request which has already been loaded ?
FYI, we just have an indicator marked with X on the R/3 table if the program in R/3 has run.
I know, one solution is "selective deletion".
As we have to selectively delete every week, we do not want to take that approach.
Second is "full load" but we do not want to do full load also as the data volume is huge.
We would like to delete those 50 reocrds in BI dynamically with some ABAP code/some logic. Does anyone have any suggestions ???

Hi Kumar,
I will try to explain it, but at the moment I am unable to take a look at the code.
I have set up a generic function module which will do the trick for more than one specific datasource. This function module is placed in the startroutine and only executed for the first datapackage.
Within the startroutine of the transformation, you have the possibility to use the p_r_request class. This class contains all necessary information about the current DTP load.
I use the get_source and get_target methods to determine the correct database tables dynamically. The t_h_sel (or somthing) contains the current DTP selections. This will include the RequestID and all other selections like fiscal year for example.
Because the write optimized DSO only has a technical key, we can use the RequestID to do the selection on the source table. After that you can compare the source selection with the active table of the second DSO and add all records from the second DSO that are not available in the source selection.
Please note that the key of the second DSO should be the same as the semantic key of the first DSO in order to do the compare.

i) How can I delete a record based on some condition in the recordx in the file that is present in the application server?
ii) How can I lock the users whiel one user is accessing the file on the application server?

Hi,
If u want a frequent deletion this approach to delete a record from a file will havee unnecesary copy of records from one file to another and deletion of one file and renaming activities.
Instead what u can do is Add and field del_flag to ur record structure.
If u want to delete the record from a file just mark this del_flag as 'X'.
While processing u can have a loop like
loop at it_XXX where del_flag <> 'X'.
endloop.
This will logically delete the record.
When u r to finish the application at that time only perform this copying / deleting / and renaing activity

Error while saving the records in the database

Hi,
I am running into a wierd error.
I have built a new page which contains the information about the employees. Some of the fields are updatable fields. The page shows the details of the person who logs into the page.
I am not using EO in this page. The data is queried from the database from VO and displayed in the page and when the records are updated, they are saved in the databased using pl/sql procedure which is
being called from AM. So i am basically not using VO to save the records in the database.
The error which i am getting is,
If 2 users are trying to update the page at the same time, user A's details are updated in user B's page.
This is really causing the issue. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Why I can not unlock the record when close a page?

I develop a jsp page as client,the jsp application use a business componment with statefull application module.i call a database rowset's lock function in jsp page to lock a record,now,after i close the jsp page without commit and rollback,the record is not unlocked,until i restart the oc4j application server.how can i unlock the record when close the page without commit and rollback?????

If you lock a row in the course of a transaction, you cannot unlock the row until the end of transaction (either rollback or commit). DBMS doesn't allow this.
Alternatively, you can try to delay locking of the row. E.g., you can try using optimistic locking. Please see the Java Doc for oracle.jbo.Transaction if you're interested in optimistic locking.

IPhone 4s Voice Memo App has 5 second delay when the record button is pressed. When it starts recording, it goes from 0 seconds to 5 or so seconds recorded. This happens randomly and often and sometimes has the delay but starts at zero. Solution Anyone?

After iOS 7 update, my iPhone 4s Voice Memo App has 5 second delay when the record button is pressed. When it starts recording, it goes from 0 seconds to 5 or so seconds that it shows has recorded. This happens randomly and often, sometimes it will have the 5+ second delay but starts recording at zero seconds. Besides the delay it has been working fine as far as saving and playback is concerned. I have plenty of storage on the phone itself and it NEVER had this problem before I updated to iOS 7. I've reset the phone a couple times by holding down the power and home buttons at the same time. The reason I have an issue with this is that I'm always recording song ideas, melodies, and scratch takes; what I'm saying is when I come up with an idea I need to be able to know that when I hit record it will start right then so I don't forget anything that has just popped in my mind.
Does anyone have a solution or suggestion?

Issue in retrieving all the records from ADF Table with multiple row

Hi,
As per my requirement, I need to fill the table with multi selected LOV values and when user clicks on commit, I need to save them to database.
I am using ADF 11g, Multi select table. Using the below ADD method, I am able to add the records but if user clicks on cancel, I need to remove those from view and clear the table as well.
But the Issue I am facing is, in my cancel method, always I am getting half of the records. Lets assume table contains 100 records but in my cancel method, I am getting only 50 records.
Please let me know what is the issue in my source code.

I need to select only the records that startswith 3001 and 3003 which are of different types and ignore the remaining records like 1010,2001,2002,1000.
Can any one help me on this.

You can make use of "conditionValue" or "startsWith" attributes while designing you native XSD.
