The REFRESH button is missing, and No I do not mean RELOAD !
Here is a simple test...
Go to my work site :
www.scforeclosures.com
Click on Bank Properties, then click on a city. Hit the "reload" button . It goes BACK to the main page.
Open Firefox, do the same thing but use the "refresh" button. See the difference ?
I cannot believe Safari has removed this.....wow
So what's the sudden change? Why the need to change the schematics so that Refresh is now a reload command ? Anyone know why would developers need to do this?

I cannot find the refresh button? I don't see refresh in the view menu drop down either.
It has been incorporated into the far right end of the Address Bar. When you load a page, it is a "Stop" button, when it finished loading, it turns into a "Reload" button.
If you want it to be somewhere else in the Toolbar, you can drag it out to wherever you want. If that doesn't work, try this:
View > Toolbars > Customize and drag the Refresh/Stop icon into the window, then drag it back out to wherever you prefer. -
My magic trackpad fell yestarday and the switch button appeared blocked and it is not possible to make it working. I contacted Apple support and it is not competent in giving a solution. They only suggest replacement and pay a new one. They simply do not repair it. It is a very poor solution since there would be other solutions. Anyone may help me with a solution?
Hello folks!!!. I found out a solution. I simply take the start button off with a screwdriver and now the trackpad works properly. Since it initializes automatically when the computer turns on, the magic trackpad works without the need of using the start button. The only drawback is that there is a loss of aesthetic because the trackpad has now a gap, which was occupied by the button, but it is not easy to notice. It seems to be a better solution than that given by the apple customer service, which was to pay a new one.

Several basic functions seem to be have vanished from Firefox. I can no longer open links in new tabs with a right click, and the refresh browser button (and back/forward navigation buttons, etc) do not appear in with consistency anymore. How do I get these basic navigational tools back? (most recent updates are installed)

It happened after Mozilla Firefox's plugin crashed. Whenever I tried right clicking the refresh button or a page in History, it no longer prompted me to "open in a new page." Instead, the box showing the menu bar, navigation bar, etc. showed up. How do I change it back?

The bookmarks button is missing from the navigation toolbar. It appears when I right click on the navigation and click customize. As soon as I close the customization window it disappears again. I can no longer access the library to back up my bookmarks. Why did you change it from Firefox 3 where you could clock on the bookmarks tab and be able to backup your bookmarks?
Actually the Bookmarks Menu button doesn't appear because you have the Menu Bar visible in your first screenshot. The Bookmarks Menu button should appear to the right of the overflow chevron on the Bookmarks Toolbar if the Menu Bar is hidden.

Since upgrading to OSX Yosemite last night, I get this error message when I open spreadsheets previously created in Google Drive: "A browser error has occurred. Please hold the Shift key and click the Refresh button to try again." Following these instructions does absolutely nothing.
Word google docs open fine, as do spreadsheets that aggregate responses from a form and a select few spreadsheets; however most other spreadsheets display the same error message.
I've tried:
opening in Google Chrome - uninstalling and reinstalling Google Chrome: same issue
opening in Firefox: same issue
opening from sheets.google.com: same issuemoving tab doesn't work.

Downloaded FF4 a while back. Not the beta version. All seemed to work well for a while. Then the aforementioned problems began. I did not add any plugins or make any changes at all. Web site addresses do not show in tabs, and the refresh button is non-functional. After FF4 has been open a while, it begins to run slower and slower as if there is a memory leak.
This can be a problem with the file places.sqlite that stores the bookmarks and the history.

I updated to firefox 4 and it's not as good as the former version. There is no refresh button, and I use that a lot. There is no loading status bar at the bottom of the page and I liked the tabs BELOW the page address.
Why do you keep changing things, just for the H**L of it...In Firefox 4 by default the Stop, Go and Reload (Refresh) buttons are combined and attached to the right hand edge of the location bar.
When you are typing in the location bar it will show the Go button. When a site is loading it shows the Stop button. At other times it shows the Reload button.
If you want separate buttons, right-click on a toolbar and choose Customize, you can then drag and drop the stop or reload buttons and place them elsewhere. If you place them in the order "Reload-Stop" on the right hand edge of the location bar they will be combined again. Why is it when I go to a website, it shows a blank page until I hit the refresh button?
When I visit any website, at first, it shows nothing and stops loading. It is not until I hit the refresh button that the site will load. It is like I have to visit the page twice before it works. I have checked my connections, inside and out. I have called my ISP and had them run some tests. I have downloaded Firefox again and re-installed. I have also cleared my cookies/cache completely and the problem persists.

Help! My email push isn't working even when I hit the refresh button!
Please help me. I got a Palm Pixi in December. It worked perfectly until about 2 weeks ago. It suddenly stopped pushing my email, including when I hit the refresh button! I spent many many hours on the phone with both verizon and palm, we tried starting and restarting the phone, removing and adding my accounts, we even tried a partial wipe of the phone. Nothing worked. So both verizon and palm assured me that my brand new phone must be defective, they sent me a new palm pixi promising me that my email push problems were a fluke and that it would never happen again. I got my new phone a week ago, it worked fine until yesterday- the same push problem is back! I've been on live chat with a palm technician for almost 2 hours now, we've set and reset my email settings, we've reset the account settings in the phone, and it still doesn't work!
Please somebody, tell me what the fix is for this!
I need this phone for my job.
Because this problem didn't start until the end of my 30 day trial period, I can't exchange this phone now, and I can't afford to pay retail price for a new phone so I'm stuck with this phone even though this problem is not my fault!! I have to make this work!
Verizon and Palm promised me that this problem would never happen again, that it was a one time fluke based on a defective(though brand new device)- based on this assurance, I exchanged phone and now I am stuck. I spent hours on the phone on monday with palm support updating/changing my email settings on the phone and when that didn't work he sent me the webos doctor instructions via email to try on my own. I did that last night, and guess what? It still didn't work! As per usual, the solution either doesn't work at all, or it works for a bout an hour and then stops working.

In the latest version of Pages (5.0) I cannot find the refresh button to update a chart copied from Numbers (also latest version 3.0). I saved my Numbers document before copying to Pages. Can anyone help?
I think you identified my mistake. I confused tables-charts-graphs. I was wanting a "table" of cells (numbers) to be added to the Pages document. Is there no way to do that and keep the tables linked between Numbers09 and Pages09?
An example would be a Numbers spreadsheet calculating a number (say, a product price) and that number (data) be linked to a product information text in Pages.
I just recently saw the Merge function in Pages, but have not yet learned how that works. I don't use Pages much at all but it would come in handy for creating to information sheets about products --- with the product pricing being updated from a Numbers spreadsheet.
If you have any hints on how that can be done or where I can find info on that I would appreciate it.
