The RemoteFX Manager process stopped working and has been restarted

I'm seeing the above warning in the Event Log of a new Hyper-V Server 2012 R2 installation but can't find any information on what's causing it.
It references a VM that seems to be working fine and continues to log the same event even when the VM is shutdown.
The VM did have a RemoteFX GPU assigned to it but I've tried removing that as well but still no reduction in the Events being logged.
Anyone got any ideas?
Cheers for now
Russell

Hi Russell,
Fist of all ,please ensure that the VMs are enterprise edition win8/8.1 or win7 with RDP8.0 update if you want to use RemoteFX VGpu .
please refer to following link :
http://blogs.msdn.com/b/rds/archive/2012/11/26/remotefx-features-for-windows-8-and-windows-server-2012.aspx
I assume that all VMs are Ent and just one VM with that issue.
For troubleshooting please try the items below :
a. remove the VGPU from the problematic VM
b. create a new VM add VGPU for it to check whether the log will arise
If the issue do not persists , please try to focus on the VM system (mabe you need to check the integration serive version )
If the issue still arises please try to update the driver for physical GPU .
Hope it helps
Best Regards

  • "Killapps.exe has stopped working and has been closed&qu

My card was working fine until i tried to update my drivers today. Now, no matter what version driver I attempt to install I get the error message "Killap
    ps.
exe has stopped working and has been closed." when it begins to install the drivers. I've attempted the beta driver, the latest stable driver, and even installing the drivers off the disk. I even tried using system restore to go back to before I attempted my first update today, only to have system restore fail!? I have an X-Fi Fatalty Champion card, and am running Vista Ultimate 32 bit. Now that this has occured, I'm stuck without sound. Before you even ask, yes, I'm using the disk labled for vista that came with my card. Window's built in sound drivers (which worked when i first plugged in the card before I even installed the software a few months ago), dont even attempt to kick in. Help? Please?!

I was having the same problem.  Earlier in the week, I was able to drag a few photos to the upload folder and they synced correctly.  Yesteday, I dragged different photos, and I got the "applephotostream.exe has stopped working" error.
The solution - for me, at least! - was to reduce the size of the pictures being uploaded to the photostream.  While all of the pictures were jpegs, the first set were ca. 800K (3800 x 2500), and the second set were ca. 2.5 MB (4000 x 2000).  When I reduced the resolution of the last set by a factor of 4 (ca. 600 K, 2000 x 1500), they uploaded without a hitch.
Based on this admittedly sketchy experiment, it looks like Apple has a max picture size limit, apparently based on file size rather than picture resolution).  Perhaps < 1 MB?  To be rigorous, I should complete the experiment - leave the resolution of the second set of pictures alone and reduce file size by reducing jpeg quality.
Has anyone heard about a picture file size limit?

Same problem here! Moreover, for some reason, the pictures in my iPhone 3GS somehow have been divided into 2 folders, Photos and Medialibrary. And when I open iPhone as a folder through the explorer I can see only the Photos folder, but cannot see the Medialibrary folder which stores the photos taken before updating/upgrading the iPhone and getting separated folders!!! What the hack with all of this?!!! When I connect iPhone to PC it automatically opens iTunes and starts syncronizing it, but at the process of OPTIMIZING the photos (and according to the number of photos it shows, I see that it tries to syncronize that invisible Medialibrary folder) the process suddenly stops and error message pops out Tried the sync test, tried the button DEBUG in that pop out message, but NOTHING HELPS!!! Also, when I open the Medialibrary in my iPhone, the screen get sblack all through scrolling it down, only the video clips are shown there... >.<
So, could you, apple developers, please, explain WHAT THIS PROBLEM IS ABOUT?!!!!!! FIX IT! I am getting ****** of to spend hours at the computer and reading those lame advises which do not help at all! I have my own things to do except reading your support websites. And I payed for the product ready to use, but not a halfproduct which problems should further be solved somehow by users..

  • ITunes has stopped working and has to close message on Win 7

When I plug my phone into the computer iTunes starts to open and then I get an error message that states iTunes has stopped working and has to close.  This seems to only happen while at work and not at home

For general advice see Troubleshooting issues with iTunes for Windows updates.
The steps in the second box are a guide to removing everything related to iTunes and then rebuilding it which is often a good starting point unless the symptoms indicate a more specific approach. Review the other boxes and the list of support documents further down the page in case one of them applies.
The further information area has direct links to the current and recent builds in case you have problems downloading, need to revert to an older version or want to try the iTunes for Windows (64-bit - for older video cards) release as a workaround for installation or performance issues, or compatibility with QuickTime or third party software.
Your library should be unaffected by these steps but there also links to backup and recovery advice should it be needed.

    Hello @youleeus,
Welcome to the HP Forums, I hope you enjoy your experience! To help you get the most out of the HP Forums I would like to direct your attention to the HP Forums Guide First Time Here? Learn How to Post and More.
I have read your post on how the driver display has stopped working, that it has recovered, and I would be happy to assist you in this matter!
To further diagnose this issue, I recommend following the steps in this document on "Display driver stopped responding and has recovered" error in Windows 7 or Windows Vista. This should help prevent the GPU on your computer from timing out.
Please re-post with the results of your troubleshooting, and I look forward to your reply!

  • The 'JobServerChild.exe' processes with ID '6632' has been running on this

    Hi team,
Automated tiket is being generated for the below following issue.
can any one suggest me how to move forward to solve the issue
The Windows Process Monitor script has determined that the 'JobServerChild.exe' processes with ID '6632' has been running on this computer for longer than the maximum acceptable time of 18000 seconds (5 hours).
    Thanks
    Murthy

    Hi Murthy,
It sounds as though you have a schedule which is long running or the jobserverchild.exe process has become orphaned.
If you check with the Instance Manager you chould be able to see if any schedules are taking much longer than usual. The Task Manager on the XI3.1 server will also show you if any jobserverchild.exe processes are hung i.e. not consuming any CPU\memory - once located you can kill the process.
I would also recommend that you apply the -type OUTPROC switch on the Job Servers to ensure that in future the jobserverchild.exe processes are killed upon completion of the schedule task.
I hope this is a very helpful answer to you.
    Kind regards,
    John

    See

    - I would start with
Removing and Reinstalling iTunes, QuickTime, and other software components for Windows XP
    or
Removing and reinstalling iTunes and other software components for Windows Vista, Windows 7, or Windows 8
However, after your remove the Apple software components also remove the iCloud Control Panel via Windows Programs and Features app in the Window Control Panel. Then reinstall all the Apple software components
