The same one podcast always syncs to my iPhone, why?
Everytime I connect my iPhone to my computer and iTunes, a certain podcast always uploads to my phone. It is a podcast that is not even on in my itunes. How come it remains and always syncs to my phone...?
Usually a song is uniquely identified by song name, artist, album and track number. That said internally I suspect the iTunes Store may allow one song to appear on more than one album while they only need to store one copy of the audio data. (They must also be able to cope with the situation, for example, where the UK & US version of an album have a different track order). It is also possible there is an error in the database that means you're not getting the song you're expecting. If you can't successfully download the two (presumably) different versions of the song then use the report a problem links in your account history and explain the issue. Hopefully the iTunes Store support staff can get it resolved.

If your view the ringtones on the iphone through itunes, are they the same or duplicates.
As posted earlier, if you are manually managing the music on your iphone, set the iphone to auto sync.
Then try syncing ringtones.

If the mail carrier use the mail type called pop3 then when mails are downloaed to a device they are removed from the server unless one set in the settings they are not to be so
If your carrier support the newer types of mail called imap or exchange this will not be the case check if they do

You linked them both to the same Apple ID and thence to the same iCloud account. Don't do that.

For iPhoto '11 IMHO the best solution is to set Mail as your email client in the iPhoto preferences

Just launch the application, find and select the domain file you want to open and it will open with iWeb. It modifies the iWeb preference file each time it's launched so one can switch between domain files.

WARNING: iWeb Switch Domain will overwrite an existing Domain.sites2 file if you select to create a new domain in the same folder. So rename your domain files once they've been created to something other than the default name.

i have been trying to sync my device to itunes but it keeps saying i have the wrong itunes. the thing is its the same one i have had all the timei have had this phone? I have even went through and uninstalled and reinstalled 3 times. what the hek is going on? HELLP!!!!

If I use the same iCloud account for my ipad and iPhone, will changes I make on one change on the other as well? I'm not sure of the advantage of using teh same iCloud for both devices.
No, it only mirrors changes to synced data. This includes mail, contacts, calendars, reminders, safari bookmarks, notes, iWork documents and data, and photo stream photos (assuming you choose to sync all this data). Changes to iTunes data such as music, apps, podcasts, etc., are not synced using iCloud. In your example, if you delete an app from one device it will remain on the other until deleted there too.

Hi all,
I've been having the following problem over and over. When I sync podcasts they all transfer to my iPod Touch even if I don't select the sync check under the Podcast tab on my iPod menu in iTunes.
I've tried selecting only one podcast to sync but even not selected podcasts copy into my iPod eating a lot of space. I want to keep them in iTunes but I don't want them in my iPod.
I've also tried selecting "only the most recent", etc. without success at all. When I sync, always and all podcasts sync, no matter what I select on iTunes.
What am I doing wrong here?

PS - Don't have this problem with music, movies, pictures or TV Shows, only with Podcasts.I just found another post that for me resolved the issue for me. Since my iPhone doesn't have enough memory to hold all my music I revert to a "Smart" playlist to eliminate specific genres (Holiday music). SInce this playlist excludes items but genre it inadvertently includes Podcasts. I assumed my playlist was music only. I'd suggest checking here first.

When i put my iPhone in the logitech dock and i start the music it stops at exactly 1 Minute. What's the problem? I cleaned the contacts, the same happened again. always after 1 minute the music pauses!
It is a known issue and un-conventional remedy.
It is Hardware failure. I would get the iPhone changed for a good one. -

When I launch Finder for the first time the same folders are always open
Hi. When I first boot up and launch Finder the same folders are always open on my boot drive. I close them all and continue to work on the computer, opening and closing folders as needed for that day's projects until I quit for the day. But the next time I start up (normally the next day) the same exact folders are open on my boot drive when I first open Finder or if I just double-click the drive. I've tried switching accounts and then back again and trashing Finder preferences, making sure every single folder is closed before I shut down, but the folders continue to show up as open the next time I boot up my Mac Pro. Any ideas anyone?

In the meantime I contacted support at www.bombich.com (creator of Carbon Copy Cloner) and told them what I was thinking about doing and they suggested deleting the hidden .DS_Store files in the folders remaining open. This is the explanation they gave me:
This file, created by the Finder, keeps track of folder view options, icon positions, and other visual information about folders. A separate .DS_Store file is created in each directory about that directory.
So I went online and found the Terminal commands for showing (and hiding) hidden files and trashed, one by one, all the .DS_Store files in the folders that were remaining open and that did the trick. I've tested Finder several times on relaunch and reboot and it's working perfectly again. Folders remain closed as I've left them before shutting down. Big relief. And I've learned something about .DS_Store files.
