The same problem with Windows Vista 64bit-iTouch not recognized by iTunes
Happy Holidays, all. I was just hoping that someone had come up with a fix to the problem with iTouch and Windows Vista Premium (64bit). All I get is a picture of the plug pointing to the iTunes image on my iTouch, can't even see the regular icons yet. The device is not picked up by iTunes, either. Tried reinstalling iTunes, the whole bit. Thought I'd try one more time to get a fix before returning the product. By the way, if you ever finally do get through to Apple Tech Support, they'll act like they have never heard of the problem (at least the guy I spoke with did. He wasn't very nice or very helpful). Anyway, good luck and thanks.
I have I think the same issue. iTunes can see a Nano but not an iTouch. Vista see the device when I plug it in, but no luch with iTunes. I ended up using a old laptop with XP which is slow and out of hard drive space, so I need a fix.

If your iPhone is recognized by the computer, but not seen by iTunes, you may need to restart the Apple Mobile Device Service, as described in this article -

Problem with windows Vista 64bit

I have core 2 quad processor, MSI p7n diamond nvidia 780i motherboard. At the end of instalation windows Vista 64bit, it has show blue screen and I dont know why? Can somebody help me? And I have 4GB ram.Try to install Vista with one memory stick only.

As you don't say what suggestion it is that you've tried, I don't know whether you mean for having notifications muted, so you may already have tried the following.
Depending on what you've got Settings > General > Use Side Switch To set to (mute or rotation lock), then you can mute notifications by the switch on the right hand side of the iPad, or via the taskbar : double-click the home button; slide from the left; and it's the icon far left; press home again to exit the taskbar. I have a problem with the iTunes Store, I have an ipod and an iphone 2. I have a PC with Windows Vista Home Premium 2007, entering into iTunes Store on the main screen I get only AppStore, Podcast and iTunes U. In my screen I get only ipad2 Podcast, iTunes U Downloads. My problem is I can not access any application to download music, videos, books, etc..
ITunes will be installed wrong or what should I do to activate these options?Go to the front page of the Store, and click Change Country. Make sure it is set to the country where you actually are.
Then you will be able to see everything that is for sale in your country, which, depending where you live, might or might not include music. -
ITunes / Quicktime Video Problems With Windows VISTA
I took up Windows Vista as soon as it was available and initially had no problems with iTunes. Then later, video clips (those purchased from iTunes and those I had converted myself) started stuttering / freezing and eventually crashing iTunes and finally I lost audio as well.
Ayyway to cut a long story short, I have uninstalled / re-installed Vista now about eight times for problems with installing drivers for USB devices (I've finally solved all these problems). After the last install the first program I installed was iTunes, tried video and it worked flawlessly. Then, each time I added a hardware device or program I would restart Vista and retry iTunes video.
The first item I added was a USB thumb drive (as I had on all previous occasions to take advantage of Vista's 'Ready Boost'). The thumb drive is a 'Sony 2GB micro vault tiny', and meets the transfer speed requirements for 'Ready Boost', as soon as I had set the drive up for 'Ready Boost' I started having the same problems with iTunes video and Quicktime.
Removed the thumb drive, restarted iTunes and had flawless video playback again. Have tried this over and over with the same result.
So my question is, has anyone else had video playback problems with iTunes / Vista and found similar problems. Trying to tie down whether this is a compatability problem with 'Ready Boost' or the thumb drive used. I have also tried a Sandisk Titanium 2GB with the same result.
I am not sure exactly how 'Ready Boost' works, I thought it added memory that was used to cache page files to the thumb drive instead of to the HDD making a faster seek /access time? Which should make things faster. Another article I read today was talking about 'Ready Boost' being an affordable extension to RAM, in this case I could understand the problem as I would think the access to a USB 2.0 thumbdrive would be slower than that to RAM.
Any help appreciated, but I guess my bottom line is anytime I want to watch video on iTunes, I just pull the USB thumb drive .
PC Pentium 4 Other OS Windows Vista Home PremiumI have the same stuttering video issues with iTunes and Vista. While I have used a thumb drive to transfer files (not Sony) I have not yet messed with Ready boost. I have seen several others complain about the video problem, perhaps they will chime in as well. Unfortunately, your solution doesn't work for me. I pretty much ignore iTunes, waiting for the next version (only god knows when it will be released).
I do have an external firewire drive connected, I'll disconnect later today and see if that has any affect. -
Problems with Windows 7 64bits
Today we get the new desktops with Windows 7, 64bits, we work with Oracle 10G and Visual Studio 2005, now we get Visual Studio 2008, the problem happends when I compile a solution migrate from 2005 to 2008, the oracle conection dies and I can`t connect with the databe, I have SQLdeveloper in the same pc and I can connect without problems, any ideas??

I can't Start, Uninstall of Install new iTunes. I'm getting the same error message: "Window Installer Service could not be accessed". No other programs having similar problem. Any suggestions how to fix it?
For general advice see Troubleshooting issues with iTunes for Windows updates.
The steps in the second box are a guide to removing everything related to iTunes and then rebuilding it which is often a good starting point unless the symptoms indicate a more specific approach. Review the other boxes and the list of support documents further down the page in case one of them applies.
The further information area has direct links to the current and recent builds in case you have problems downloading, need to revert to an older version or want to try the iTunes for Windows (64-bit - for older video cards) (not for XP) release as a workaround for installation or performance issues, or compatibility with QuickTime or third party software.
Your library should be unaffected by these steps but there are also links to backup and recovery advice should it be needed.

I am using a Linksys router supporting draft-N; it seems that after some time of usage; Windows Vista stop being able to connect to Linksys using a WPA-2 PSK.
Everytime you search for the SSID and attempt to connect, the ''network is taking too long to connect''' and Windows always informs the user that ''limited or no connectivity'' even though the signal strength is excellent.

Photo sync problem with Windows Vista?
I did some searching and was wondering if there is a solution to the photo sync problem with Windows Vista. I have gone the route of changing some of my photos to bitmap files but this is was way too much work just to view on ipod. I like to email Apple but could not find a link to do so. As far as I know I have all updates but still the iPod does not sync photos. Is there an update to this that I am missing or am I stuck changing all my photos to .bmp files?

Would it make a difference if I purchased Adobe Photo Album or would I still be stuck with changing and saving files to .bmp extensions? I have Adobe Photoshop album starter but still have to change file extensions.
If someone has a solution to this problem I would really be greatfull. I did contact Dell as this is a brand new computer and that was a wash. They did give me a number for Apple but of course I bought the iPod off of ebay and has no warranty on it so unless I pay a fee I'm not calling. It just blows my mind that Microsoft and Apple can't or won't come up with a fix. But I guess when Microsoft wants you to buy the Zune or Apple wants you to buy the overpriced Macintosh why would they waste time on having there products compatible with each other.

I can't send emails from Mail. I have three different accounts set up and have the same problem with all. The mail just sits in my outbox. All worked fine until Yosemite upgrade. Recent update has not fixed problem.
I have been experiencing the same problem. My mail app won't even open on my Late 2011 Macbook Pro. It will show as open, but the app will never actually show up.

I have a problem with iphoto (have a mac book pro): the icon in the dock appears with a question mark, and the application is gone!!! Can someone tell what's going on? Applications should not disappear all by themselves.
If they are then that coud indicate serious problems with your hard drive.
Backup everything up as quickly as possible.
Using Disk Utility verify your system disk.

i tried everything in this article, but still have the same problem when using Rapidweaver software. NOT with other software. I am converting my iWeb site to Rapidweaver, whenever there is a calmer period in my office. I have 16 Gb RAM on my NEW iMac and have Parallels desktop, mail, safari, iWeb and Rapidweaver running simultanious.
I never have the problem if i don't use Rapidweaver, but after i have added several pages to Rapidweaver, the problem begins. my iMac won't start up. the only thing that works is re-installing Macos OS X 10.8. i tried even whiping the completeharddrive, and reinstalling with a complete new user, the same problem.
I had it on my previous iMac also, and bought a new one because i thought the problem was in the iMac first. i hadn't noticed it only happens with using rapidweaver.
i sent my complete rapidweaver project to the programmers from rapidweaver at Realmacsoftware, but they couldnt reproduce my problem, there macs started up without any problem.
i deleted all the rapidweaver addons and extra stacks, and started a complete new project.
saterday i had the problem again, after adding about 5 new pages to my rapidweaver site.
i think i have reinstalled Macos OS X 10.8.2 20 or 30 times by now

Almost all of the same problems with Thunderbolt HTC
I have experienced most of the same problems with my phone as the ones indicated on this website. I have been to the Verizon Store on three separate occasions seeking help, with almost no solution, I guess not the one I was looking for, however now reconnected. .
I have to give a shout-out to Tim in the Verizon Wareham, MA store, who has displayed incredible patience and took the time to hopefully fix the phone and then explain my options. The final result was to get a replacement and ship out the defective phone,

Very disappointed with Verizon these days, poor quality cell service and poor quality cell products in exchange for huge profits.I have also had the same problems that people are posting. I also have had several phone calls to Customer Service with no luck. I stopped in a store in Phoenix when I was traveling last week and I was told I should try to resetting my phone to factory settings. I was told that as long as I log back into my Gmail account that all of the apps I downloaded previously would be available to me. So I took the plunge and reset my phone. Yes it is working great. I was surprised to find some of my downloaded music that had mysteriously disappeared suddenly reappeared. The bummer, I can't seem to figure out how I can access the apps I previously downloaded. I only care about the ones I paid for.
