You might try removing the cartridges and then performing a hard reset on the printer.
To perform a hard reset, use the following steps:
I would recommend that you do a hard reset on the printer. To do that, use the following steps.
1. Press the Power button to turn on the product.
2. With the product turned on, disconnect the power cord from the rear of the product.
3. Unplug the power cord from the wall outlet.
4. Wait at least 15 seconds.
5. Plug the power cord back into the wall outlet.
6. Reconnect the power cord to the rear of the product.
7. If the product does not turn on by itself, press the power button to turn it on.
After the printer is back on, re-insert the cartridges.
Try that and let me know if it helps!
Best of luck,
Kyle

  • The Science Behind Mixing: HOW do you decide what speakers are right?

    Hey guys,
    Hoping you could shed light on how a sound engineer chooses the levels when mixing a song?
    I know this is a total loaded question...but at least this can give you some direction on what I'm looking for in the answer:
    My buddy and I are playing the music from M-Audio BX5a speakers.
    With somethings, they sound great on there...
    but then we go listen to them in the car, and the mix is wayyy off....
    Often times the off part is the bass. It's hard to determine with the BX5a's if the Bass is at a good level, or if it's going to totally overwhelm all the instrumentals. (we're doing orchestral hip-hop by the way)
    Any advice? Do we just need new speakers?
    Thanks!
    --Sean

    Lots of good, sound advice here...
    I think the biggest thing you can do, which may yield the quickest satisfactory results, will be, as has already been mentioned, to A/B your mixes with a CD that is similar in style/content.
    Then, as you listen to your mixes in multiple environments, make sure you A/B in those listening environment as well. You'll learn nothing if you don't constantly make comparisons on ALL the systems you are listening on.
    Beyond that, treating your mix room is a crucial thing to do. The company Auralex offers a free service, where you download a sweepable sine wave that sweeps 20Hz to 20kHz. Using the most neutral microphone in your arsenal, you record that sweep by placing your mic between your speakers. You send this file back to them, and they can tell you where the worst deficiencies are in your room.
    Granted, this is a general observation, and obviously they will make suggestions to room treatments, in hopes you will buy their products. But at the very least, it will tell you what to be aware of when mixing.

    I have 3 sets of monitors from which to constantly be checking my mixes. Dynaudio BM6's, Yamaha NS-10's, and Avatone's. I am very familiar with the strengths and weaknesses of each... I know what frequencies should (or shouldn't) be popping out on each, etc...
    I have been mixing for over 20 years. I'll let you know when I master it

  • HT4436 I don't see the point of having to create another email account - could someone explain the thinking behind this please?

    For iCloud syncing there are a few items that require a new iCoud email address to be created (eg. Notes and email), whilst the majority of other options do not require this.
    My question is simply why do these items need yet another email address to be created?  I would have though the Apple Id would have been sufficient to hang everything together...
    If someone could explain the thinking behind this please I will hopefully be more comfortable with it and probably more likely to start using these features!
    Thanks in advance!
    Stuart

    If TCP port 25 isn't open, then SMTP services won't work.  That's the port that all SMTP servers use to communicate amongst themselves.    (Sure, you can change the port your SMTP server is listening on, but you'd also have to change the port processing on all of the other SMTP servers around — and if you did manage to implement that change everywhere, the local network folks would likely just block the new port for the same reasons they blocked the old port.)
    If you have a public static IP address and have correct forward and reverse translations — host domain to IP address, and IP address to host domain name — then you don't need and very likely don't want to run your own DNS server.
    More to help you learn how these pieces fit together and not something I'd expect you would need given you have a public static IP and public DNS here is a detailed DNS server configuration article for OS X Server; enable Show All Records and it applies to Server.app on 10.7 and later.  If you have questions after reading that, I can certainly answer them and also update the article to try to reduce the confusion or answer the question.
    Your host didn't have valid reverse DNS, so you'll want to get that cleared up, and you'll want to get the port blocks cleared, or work with the local network folks to set up a relay through one of the existing mail servers.

  • Could you please help me understand the logic behind certain things in OSX?

    Ok, so I try to be an open-minded guy, and I bear no particular allegiance to either OS. I own a Sony TZ and a Mac mini, and my wife has a MacBook Pro. I use both Oses.
    There are certain things I have trouble understanding in th Mac OS, so what I'd really like to understand the logic behind certain design decisions in the OS, and why these might be better ways of accomplishing things. I know how to get around all of the things I mention, so I'm not looking for instructions; rather I'm looking for well-thought out explanations for why these features are the way they are.
    *1. Programs don't quit when you close the window.*
    - This totally puzzles me. Why design it so that program windows are independent are from the running program itself? There must be a reason, cold someone explain how this is more efficient? To me, it's simpler to click an X on the window you are working on to completely shut down a program, rather than to either mouse through menus to select quit, or be obligated to using Command Q keyboard shortcut.
    *2. Menu bars are on the desktop.*
    - Related to the first point, why make the main thing framing your desktop be something which is always changing depending on the program? Why have file menus outside the main window of the program. Having the menu bar on the desktop then necessitates an additional area, the dock, which has to be used as a launch bar and to tell you what programs are currently running. That obligates you to having 3 different areas of screen: 1 for program menus, 1 for running programs, and the program window itself. This seems very inefficient to me. Not to mention all the messy-looking floating palettes all over the place, again because everything is separated and not nicely contained in a single program window.
    - Really, having a changing menu bar that frames the desktop isn't even consistent wth the whole desktop metaphor, which is that you place things on a desktop, like programs, files, etc. Are you changing the whole desk everytime you load a new program, yet the wallpaper stays the same? Doesn't seem to be logically consistent to me.
    *3. No delete key.*
    - This one really gets me. Why make such a commonly used key be a function key (Fn + Backspace)? Why make the user press a secondary key for a major function?
    *4. No Cut command.*
    - I read something about how Cut doesn't actually make sense when moving files around, but I obviously didn't fully understand it. Why make the user command drag, when you can just do Ctrl X??.
    *5. Launching Apps from the Finder.*
    - This seems weird to me, that you find and launch applications from the same thing you use to view files. Program icons in the finder are placeholders for the entire program, not files, yet they are found in the file viewer. Again, to me this seems logically mixed. I really dislike scrolling through Finder to look for apps. I know there is Spotlight and the dock (used as a quicklauncher), but these are really just workarounds for a setup which seems inherently illogical. To me at least, a menu of applications make more sense, ie, the start menu.
    Anyway, those are all I can think of now, although there are other things aout OSX that don't make sense to me.
    Thanks in advance! If I can understand Apple's reasoning and it is convincingly better, that will go a long way towards making me more comfortable with this OS.

    1. Programs don't quit when you close the window.
    That's really more a matter of what you're used to. It comes down to a programming decision as to what Apple and Microsoft considered to make sense. MS thinks that if there are no open windows, you're done using the app. Apple thinks you aren't necessarily done yet, as others have mentioned. I certainly wouldn't want Photoshop to quit every time I closed the last open image I was working on. Would be nice though if Safari would quit when I close the last open browser window. It's quick to relaunch if you really weren't done with it, so wouldn't be much of a bother to have it shut down with the last window.
    2. Menu bars are on the desktop.
    Makes way more sense the Microsoft's approach of repeating the same file menu on every open document in a program. How many places do you need to see File, Options and other common menu headings?
    2. Menu bars are on the desktop.
    Related to number two. The forward app is the only one you can directly work in, so why not have the menu bar change to reflect the choices for that application? When you go back to the previous app you were in, the menu bar changes back. So what loss of functionality is there? It comes back to not having menu bars on every single open window. There's no need or purpose for it.
    3. No delete key.
    Backspace does the same thing.
    4. No Cut command.
    Command+X, not Ctrl+X. This is Mac, not Windows. There's also very little need to ever do this from the keyboard. If you're moving files that are on the same drive/partition, then just drag and drop from the target folder window to the source. It's automatically a move. If going from one physical drive or partition to another, it's automatically a copy. Press and hold the Command key during the drag to make it a move.
    Besides, you don't really think Windows cuts the entire folder or file contents into RAM, do you? If your computer has 4 GB of RAM, and you cut 12 GB of data, it of course can't possibly fit in the clipboard. All Windows does when you do a cut is visually remove the files and folders from the screen. If the items are going to a location on the same drive/partition, it does the same thing as if you did a drag and drop move. The file table is simply updated to reflect the new file or folder locations. If it's to a different drive/partition, it then performs a copy then delete action, same as OS X.
    5. Launching Apps from the Finder.
    A program is just as much a file as any other file. It takes up space on the drive. The OS of course knows what to do with it when you double click an app. Same as it knows what to do when you double click a document related to an app. Windows is no different. An .exe file is also just as much a file as a .doc file. The .exe extension tells Windows to try and treat it as a program to load into RAM. It's not just a simple placeholder. The program has to be made up of something.

  • I can't fathom the reasoning behind ID CS5 tables. Can you help?

    I can make ID CS5 tables work, but I don't understand how they work. I should mention that I'm a heavy FrameMaker user, so I'm sure I've got some faulty preconceptions.
    In FrameMaker, I'm accustomed to using table styles to automate table formatting. All table formatting info -- e.g., text styles for table titles, headings, and body; rules; cell padding; etc -- is built into the table style and applied with a single click. The text styling information is drawn from preexisting paragraph styles that are associated with the table style. All very straightforward. But in InDesign, things seem a lot more complicated.
    InDesign has Table Styles and Cell Styles. I'm unclear on the relationship between the two. You can specify ruling and shading styles in both. I don't understand this.
    I've gotten more predictable results with Cell Styles, so I've built most of my formatting info into them. But Cell Styles aren't stand-alone entities. Even though you have to create them, then add them to the Table Style, they have to be associated with a preexisting paragraph style. This seems like a duplication of effort -- two separate styles (cell and paragraph) applying the same text formatting info. The Cell Style does include ruling and shading info, but that shouldn't be necessary since that information theoretically can be entered in the Table Style.
    Also, using Cell Styles limits you to one paragraph style per cell. In some cases I need two -- data or text, followed by some bullet points. When this happens I've had to strip out the Cell Style and apply a paragraph style directly. Seems funky.
    I don't want to get too deep into the weeds with specific puzzles I've encountered; suffice to say I don't understand how Table Styles and Cell Styles interact and how best to use them to create and format tables efficiently. Do any of you understand the thinking behind ID tables? Can you point to a source that explains it? There's got to be a system there, a set of coherent operating principles, but I haven't been able to discern them.
    Sincere thanks,

    I'm not clear how you're able to automate the next-format behavior in FrameMaker. Are you saying that populating a FrameMaker table by importing text from a source, using the convert-to-table option does this because the incoming content has paragraph styles that match existing FrameMaker formats, and that you can't get this in InDesign? InDesign's import options are quite rich. If you need details, search Google for "InDesign text import options" without quotes.
    My apologies. I must have done a poor job of explaining the problem, which is: If you apply a Cell Style to a cell, that cell will only permit one paragraph style. If you need to use two styles in the cell, you have to change the Cell Style to None, then do your formatting with a regular paragraph style.
    These tables were imported as RTF, which has worked reasonably well. Actually, yesterday I was thinking about the discussion we had re: Frame > ID conversions. The first draft of the tutorial I worked up is done. If interested, I'd be happy to send a copy.
    Many thanks for your assistance,

    Try this:
    * Create a small table, say four rows by four columns.
    * Create a paragraph style named noStyle, based on No Style.
    * Create a paragraph style with text color cyan, for the second paragraph in the cel; call it cyan. Leave Next Style as Same Style.
    * Create a paragraph style with text color magenta, for the first paragraph in the cell; call it magenta. Set Next style to cyan.
    * Create a cell style whose paragraph style is magenta.
    * In a table cell, create two paragraphs that use the style noStyle.
    * Copy the two paragraphs to another cell.
    * In the first cell, apply the magenta style to the first paragraph.
    * Select both paragraphs in the cell, or select the cell.
    * In the paragraph styles panel, Right-Click the magenta style name.
    * In the context menu that appears, click Apply "magenta" then Next Style. The first paragraph remains magenta, and the second paragraph changes to cyan.
    * Select  the second cell.
    * Apply the cell style magentaCell. Both paragraphs are tagged with the magenta paragraph style.
    * Select the cell and in the Paragraph Styles panel, Right-Click the paragraph style magenta, and select Apply "magenta," then Next Style. Like the two paragraphs selected in the cell that has no cell style applied, the first paragraph remains magenta, and the second paragraph changes to cyan.
    * Copy two paragraphs tagged with noStyle and paste to all the cells in the table.
    * Select the whole table.
    * Apply the magenta paragraph style to all cells.
    * * In the paragraph styles panel, Right-Click the magenta style name.
    * In the context menu that appears, click Apply "magenta" then Next Style. The first paragraph remains magenta, and the second paragraph changes to cyan. All the cells have the first paragraph tagged magenta and the second tagged cyan.
    * Undo these last steps until all cells have reverted to containing two noStyle paragraphs.
    * Select the whole table and apply the magenta cell style.
    * In the paragraph styles panel, Right-Click the magenta style name.
    * In the context menu that appears, click Apply "magenta" then Next Style. The first paragraph remains magenta, and the second paragraph changes to cyan.
    So, with or without cell styles, the Apply Next Style feature efficiently formats multiple-style table cells.
    [EDIT] Yes, I'd like to see your tutorial. Click on my name in the sidebar to send a private message, if you don't have my email address already. Thanks for the offer.[/EDIT]

  • The reasoning behind aggregation rules at report level

    Hello guys
    I notice that in the answer criteria, we can define column formula of each columns in the request, but we can also set aggregation rules for the numeric columns..
    I'd like to have a deeper understanding on how these settings work..
    The Avg, Max, Min, Count are pretty clear and self-explanatory to me.
    My main question is the difference between 'default', 'Server determined', 'complex server aggregate', and 'Sum'.
    In a lot of the measure columns when the aggregate rule is 'default', when I do subtotaling in report views, I would actually get the right total amount by dimension columns, however there are also places in the report where the sub total is off, so I have to go and set the aggregate rule of that measure to 'Sum' then the total becomes correct 100%. When I try 'server determined', 'complex server aggregate', some measures change and some don't, but this is not in a pattern of change that I can understand the concept behind. The OBIEE documents said very little about this part
    So is there more detailed information out there that explains more about what these options are doing?
    Thanks in advance

    Hi Shruthi,
    To be clear you have one table 'DIM_LF_B' and its separated out as FACT and DIM in BMM layer with respective formulas ? If yes check this http://www.varanasisaichand.com/2012/04/fact-and-dimension-from-single-source.html
    let me know if it is different

    Howdy.  I keep getting a message stating that my apple ID has been disabled.  I recently contacted my CC company, AMEX, for several fradulent iTune charges, which is probably where the problem first originated.  How can I resolve this issue?

    I had to dispute several unauthorized charges to itunes. My apple id was disabled after that. I followed jarnoldus's (older post) advice and it worked. Im duplicating his entry here with a few modifications. I hope this works for you.
    1. Go to https://getsupport.apple.com
    2. Choose your product (mine was ipad)
    3. Click the "iTunes, App Store or iBooks" icon
    4. Click "Apple ID account security"
    5. Type in "apple id has been disabled"
    6. Choose your country (mine was US)
    7. Choose the "talk to apple support now" option
    8. Provide the info they request (name, email, phone number)
    9. They will call you right away.
    Explain your apple id has been disabled. The rep will connect you to an iTunes rep. He/she will look up your account. You will be required to answer your 3 security questions. You MUST get a minimum of 2 correct. If you succeed they will enable your id. Good luck!

  • Has anyone used the wiki behind a Cisco WebVPN?

    I'm trying to use the wiki behind a Cisco WebVPN with little success.
    What I think is going on is that as pages are downloaded to the browser, the WebVPN (as it should) translates each link into a WebVPN-specific link (acting essentially as a proxy). When you edit the page and submit, these links get submitted through the web service with the translated links intact, now setting all previously internal links into unusable external links. For some reason the result of this is a page with links fails to save.
    Has anyone written a APCF (Application Profile Customization Framework) file that might take care of this, or some imaginative proxy bypass rules or something else? I can't believe I'm the first person to use a combo of a Cisco ASA WebVPN and the Snow Leopard wiki. Any other ideas short of using an ipsec VPN instead?

    Ahhh the days of the Creative Nomad Jukebox MP3 Player. Thanks for the bringing back the memories Apple! I had one of those and the USB 1.1 transfer rate took HOURS to fill the Nomad's 6 GB drive. Once it was full, minor updates to playlists were tolerable.
    So now for anyone with a pre-2003 Mac will have to cope with USB 1.1 transfer speeds, specifically iBooks and PowerBooks. Desktop Macs can simply add a USB 2.0 card to resolve that problem.
    Still, the iPod Nano is a huge improvement over the Mini. FireWire would have been nice since the original iPod was a FireWire device. But, to keep the form factor small, they had to decide on only one transfer protocol...so I guess USB 2.0 won.
    Also, Apple will never get rid of FireWire, not even when they start shipping Intel-based Macs. Digital Video is huge, and so is iMovie and Final Cut Pro.

    Cannot see the video behind the title even though I select the option to do so, what am I missing?

    hauntnh,
    I assume you're referring to the fifth video, "Add a title to your video." Did you drag the title to the V2 track, as explained at 2:33 in the video? Also, if your main video in the V1 track is not sitting below your title clip in V2, you won't see the video behind the title because there won't be anything behind your title.

  • What the Concept behind this

    hello friends plz check this code
    class a
    class b extends a
    class c extends b
    class test
         public void print(a first)
              System.out.println("Here in A");
              System.out.println(first);
         public void print(b first)
              System.out.println("Here in B");
              System.out.println(first);
    public class kr
         public static void main(String arg[])
              test t=new test();
              b obj =new c();
              System.out.println(obj);
              t.print(obj) ;
    this will print Here in B
    if change b obj = new c to a obj = new c
    this will print Here in A
    what's the concepts behind this
    help me thanks
    Vivek Nidhi

    I saw this a while back:public class A {
    public void show(A a) {
    System.out.print("A.show(A);\t");
    public class B extends A{
    public void show(A a) {
    System.out.print("B.show(A);\t");
    public void show(B a) {
    System.out.print("B.show(B);\t");
    public class ABTest {
    public static void main(String[] args) {
    A a = new A();
    B b = new B();
    A bAsA = new B();
    a.show(a);    a.show(b);    a.show(bAsA);
    bAsA); System.out.println();
    b.show(a);    b.show(b);    b.show(bAsA);
    bAsA); System.out.println();
    bAsA.show(a); bAsA.show(b); bAsA.show(bAsA);
    A); System.out.println();
    }You had to guess what the output was.
    Almost everybody saidA.show(A);   A.show(A);   A.show(A);
    B.show(A);   B.show(B);   B.show(B);
    B.show(A);   B.show(B);   B.show(B);   when in fact, the correct answer isA.show(A);   A.show(A);   A.show(A);
    B.show(A);   B.show(B);   B.show(A);
    B.show(A);   B.show(A);   B.show(A);   the reason is that although B overrides A.show(A)
    which is taken account for at runtime - giving the B.
    on the last row - the decision of whether to call
    show(A) or show(B) is made at compile time, so
    the last column says show(A) - the parameter is of
    compiletime type A even if it's runtime type is B -
    and the last row is show(A) for similar reasons.
    I hope this helps (and makes sense)
    Well it makes sense to me but what is really surprising is the result of
    bAsA.show(b);
    which comes out to be
    B.show(A);
    while parameter being passed in the method is b which is of type B. Could anybody explain that?

  • What is the idea behind Render Response and Exception Handling in TF?

    Dear All,
    While searching for answer for my question, I find it hard to decipher this line.
    task flow exception handling doesn't handle any exception that is in Render Response phase
    I found this several times in many post like this.
    Re: ADF Exception handling (including RENDER RESPNSE PHASE)
    and this
    Re: Exception Handling in TaskFlow
    What's the idea behind exception handling in task flow that is related to JSF/ADF life cycle?
    I can't find a resource on why I should know what phase an exception has been thrown?
    Sorry if my question might be vague/ignorant to others, but I just would like to know the idea from experts around here. :)
    Thanks.
    JDEV 11G PS4

    Hi,
    Render Response is the last lifecycle phase processed during JSF request. The ADF controller has no chance of handling exceptions that occur during this time (example, exception thrown in managed bean) and therefore in its default exception handling implementation ignores this lifecycle phase. As an application developer you don't need to know when an exception is raised. However, if you find that an exception occurs during Render Response and it is not handled by the ADFc declarative exception handler, then you know. You can try and override the framework exception handler as explained here:
    https://blogs.oracle.com/jdevotnharvest/entry/extending_the_adf_controller_exception_handler
    However, better practice is to use try/catch blocks surrounding e.g. calls in a managed bean that could cause exceptions

  • How can you access the content behind an Animate .oam file in Muse?

    I have an animation to open doors at the bottom of a parallax scroll, but once the doors open, I cannot click on any of the buttons in my "room" that were set up in Muse. Anyone have any ideas of how to fix this? I am using CC for both programs.
    par·al·lax: The effect whereby the position or direction of an object appears to differ when viewed from different positions, e.g., through the viewfinder and the lens of a camera
    More »

    Hello,
    In case .oam file is placed above the content, then I am afraid user would not be able to click on the content which is behind the animation.
    There are two workarounds that you have. Either have the content (Buttons behind the open door) placed inside the Animation itself so that users can click on it.
    Or you can have transparent Rectangles (boxes) placed in front of the animation and apply links to them. it should appear like the buttons behind the animation are clickable however it should be these transparent Boxes which would be clickable and are placed above the Buttons and the animation (on the top layer).
    Hope this helps.

  • When I import files (copy from jpeg or copy as DNG from raw, where is the full size original stored?

    I have the photos go here file, does LR5 put the untouched original there? Do I need my own file for originals and if so, how does LR5 know where to find the full size original? I have everything working but don't understand where my untouched originals go after import. Say I import off my card to My Pictures/Lightroom Catalog/ Photos go here ..... are my originals there? What if I erase my card now, do I only have partial size negatives basically? I don't understand why LR5 didnt put in an originals do here file that imports the full photo to a stock folder. I am so confused I am about ready to throw out LR5. I even bought your instructional DVD and it doesnt make where the original files location clear, it just repeats that LT5 does NOT import the original, just thumbnail and instructions, where is the program getting the photo when I double click to open it , or am I only seeing a lower resolution version of the photo and the full res is now gone because I formatted the card?

    When you import photos, you can choose "Copy" or "Move" or "Copy as DNG", and then select a destination folder on your hard disk. This happens on the right hand side of the Import dialog box. So your original files go to this destination folder.
    Alternatively, if your photos are already on your hard disk, you can import by choosing "Add" and the original photos remain in the existing location.
    If you're not sure where the photos are, open Lightroom, go to the Library Module, and on the right hand side is the Metadata Panel. Set the dropdown to "Default", and it will show you where your photos are stored. Alternatively, you can right-click on any photo and select "Show In Finder"/"Show in Explorer" and Lightroom will take you to the exact folder where the photo is located.
    So, bottom line, you are in total control of where the originals go, and if your forgot where you put them, or made a mistake, you can always find out where they are.
    What if I erase my card now, do I only have partial size negatives basically?
    If your import was successful, then the photos are now stored on your hard disk. So you have the full size original for Lightroom to work with.
    it just repeats that LT5 does NOT import the original, just thumbnail and instructions
    Lightroom does import the original, which means, in Lightroom jargon, that it records the location and metadata about the photo; in other words, Lightroom knows where the photo is, but Lightroom NEVER contains your photo, your photo is ALWAYS stored on the hard disk.
    Because Lightroom now knows where your photo is located, it is important that you not manage your photos (move, edit, rename, delete) outside of Lightroom. Photo managements tasks now must be done in Lightroom. (There are advanced methods that let you manage your photos outside of Lightroom, but these would be NOT RECOMMENDED for beginners)
