The screen gone wrong

Dear Sir/Madam,
I have found out that every time I plug in my lightning into my iPhone, I can see that the screen and the touch sensor of the phone have gone wrong. Sometime I can see that it is like someone tap on an app and it load that app up without I even do it. If I leave the keyboard on the screen, without tapping any of those letters... the screen just tap on itself. Even worse, everytime I scroll from one page to another in home screen or scroll up and down in safari.... I can see that it lag and not smooth at all. It like the screen just gone not function well.
Here is the trick. Everytime I remove lightning out, the device just work back fine. Is this charger issue or OS issue ? Please help!!

Try this - Reset the iPad by holding down on the Sleep and Home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons. (This is equivalent to rebooting your computer.)

Mileage on the screen is wrong

Hi- the "voice" on my nano has the correct mileage/pace for my runs, but the screen on the nano has almost double the mileage.
What could be the cause of this? I've calibrated on a track, I do not have Nike shoes, but have the pouch for the sensor.

The Nike + iPod sports kit is just a pedometer. It will never show you the real distance. In your case the deviation is extreme, I agree.
To get the exact distance of your workout you can use a freeware called TrailRunner (http://trailrunnerx.com). The app allows you to layout your route on a map like in GoogleEarth and then connect that route to your workout. Both the route and the workout data are then stored in the diary on your mac. So the second advantage is that you're independed from nikeplus.

Restart unsuccessful and screen gone back after software updated

I just got my iMac back from the store for hard drvie replacement programme. When I back home, I used the original OS install DVD to start up my computer, all went smoothly till the software update check, I tried to updated the software and restart the computer as per request, but the screen gone black and my computer never can start up again. What's going wrong? Can anyone help?

Could be many things, we should start with this...
"Try Disk Utility
1. Insert the Mac OS X Install disc, then restart the computer while holding the C key.
2. When your computer finishes starting up from the disc, choose Disk Utility from the Installer menu at top of the screen. (In Mac OS X 10.4 or later, you must select your language first.)
*Important: Do not click Continue in the first screen of the Installer. If you do, you must restart from the disc again to access Disk Utility.*
3. Click the First Aid tab.
4. Select your Mac OS X volume.
5. Click Repair Disk, (not Repair Permissions). Disk Utility checks and repairs the disk."

Then try a Safe Boot, (holding Shift key down at bootup), run Disk Utility in Applications>Utilities, then highlight your drive, click on Repair Permissions, reboot when it completes.
(Safe boot may stay on the gray radian for a long time, let it go, it's trying to repair the Hard Drive.)
If perchance you can't find your install Disc, at least try it from the Safe Boot part onward.
If 10.7.0 or later...
Bootup holding CMD+r, or the Option/alt key to boot from the Restore partition & use Disk Utility from there to Repair the Disk, then Repair Permissions.
If that doesn't help Reinstall the OS.

When i went to unlock, screen was acting up. had to click, then double click just to get one letter to work to do my password. now it lights up but doesn't show anything on the screen.what happened?

Half of screen gone!!!

My ipod nano's bottom screen is gone. there is nothing there and i cant seem toread half of what i am doing. it is so FRUSTRATING!!!

The exact same thing happened to me this morning. i left the ipod playing on hold through the night, and half of the screen is gone in the morning.
Not only is half of the screen gone, it looks like the top part dislocated and moved right a .5 centimeters. So there's a blank line on the left side of my screen.
How do i exactly request a replacement for my ipod? (noob question)

You are talking to fellow users on these forums, not iTunes Support or Apple - I've asked the hosts to remove your phone number from your post.
For the Camera app, try closing it via the taskbar and see if it works when you re-open the app : from the home screen (i.e. not with the Camera app 'open' on-screen) double-click the home button to bring up the taskbar at the bottom of the iPad's screen, then press and hold any of the apps on the taskbar for a couple of seconds or so until they start shaking, then press the '-' in the top left of the Camera app to close it, and touch any part of the screen above the taskbar so as to stop the shaking and close the taskbar.
If that doesn't fix it then try a soft-reset : press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds (ignore the red slider), after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the iPad equivalent of a reboot.
In terms of syncing, you will need iTunes on your computer - if you haven't already downloaded it then you can do so from here : http://www.apple.com/itunes/download/
You can conncet the iPad to your computer and select it on the left-hand sidebar of your computer's iTunes (you can enable the sidebar on iTunes 11 on a PC via control-S), and use the tabs on the right-hand side of the iTunes screen to sycn your content to the iPad.

For the excel file, what app are you viewing/editing it in ? If the values are different then it may be that the app that you are using doesn't support all the formulas that are being used in the spreadsheet. Apps that 'support' excel documents include Apple's Numbers app, and from third-parties apps such as Documents To Go ('premium' version) and QuickOffice Pro HD.

If the reset doesn't do it then it's possible that the backlight or another part of your screen has broken. Unfortunately it's not really user servicible. I'd make an appointment at your local apple store and have them check it out. If your device is still under warranty and they don't determine that the damage was the result of 'abuse or neglect' (their words) then it could be a free replacement.
I'd just do a backup before you take it in, just in case.

Have no idea - But if it is a new problem with exactly the same kind of material that was previously used. Then my trouble shooting guide might help.
If You
• used a new Camera - file codec might be a sort that don't work
• Your main hard disk might get too filled up
Else try
Trouble
When iMovie doesn't work as intended this can be due to a lot of reasons
• iMovie Pref files got corrupted - trash it/they and iMovie makes new and error free one's
• Creating a new User-Account and log into this - forces iMovie to create all pref. files new and error free
• Event or Project got corrupted - try to make a copy and repair
• a codec is used that doesn't work
• problem in iMovie Cache folder - trash Cache.mov and Cache.plist
• version miss match of QuickTime Player / iMovie / iDVD
• preferences are wrong - Repair Preferences
• other hard disk problem - Repair Hard Disk (Disk Util tool - but start Mac from ext HD or DVD)
• External hard disks - MUST BE - Mac OS Extended (hfs) formatted to work with Video
( UNIX/DOS/FAT32/Mac OS Exchange - works for most other things - but not for Video )
• USB-flash-memories do not work
• Net-work connected hard disks - do not work
• iPhoto Library got problems - let iPhoto select another one or repair it. Re-build this first then try to re-start iMovie.
This You do by
_ close iPhoto
_ on start up of iPhoto - Keep {cmd and alt-keys down}
_ now select all five options presented
_ WAIT a long long time
• free space on Start-Up (Mac OS) hard disk to low (<1Gb) - I never go under 25Gb free space for SD-Video (4-5 times more for HD)
• external devices interferes - turn off Mac - disconnect all of them and - Start up again and re-try
• GarageBand fix - start GB - play a few notes - Close it again and now try iMovie
• Screen must be set to million-colors
• Third-party plug-ins doesn't work OK
• Run "Cache Out X", clear out all caches and restarts the Mac
• Let Your Mac be turned on during one night. At about midnight there is a set of maintenance programs that runs and tidying up. This might help
• Turn off Your Mac - and disconnect Mains - for about 20-30 minutes - at least this resets the FireWire port.
• In QuickTime - DivX, 3ivx codec, Flip4Mac, Perian etc - might be problematic - temporarily move them out and re-try
(I deleted the file "3ivxVideoCodec.component" located in Mac HD/Library/Quicktime and this resolved my issue.)

My phonw got wet and the screen was cracked. so i thought the screen mustve gone bad or something so i bought a new screen and got it replaced. try holding and pressing the sleep button and home button together for a few seconds and see if there will be any change in the screen and apple logo should appear after 10 seconds or so if not i guess its a problem with the screen itself maybe darkened pixels or maybe a wire is cut off
