I have a question about changing the screen in my Zen touch. Can I put the screen from Zen touch 20Gb to Zen touch 40GB? I now that the difrence is only 0,3 cm but I must be shure...Greetings

I have problem with my screen (it have a rainbow spot) and I must to chang it. The guarante service can change it but I must have to 00 euros . The computer service in my city tell me that there is possibility to change it when i bring them the same for example broken player with good LCD. Ther must be the same matrix ,then they will change it.

I am thinking about getting either a Zen or Zen vision M player. I can see that the Zen has 6m colors on the screen and the Vision "only" has 262k colors can I see the difference?

Well, the difference IS significant when viewing pictures, as well as videos. It's like setting your TV color setting to 30% (Zen V M) and then to 00% (Zen).
The ZEN is a huge improvement, as I have both the Zen and ZVM

The screen on my touch is completely black and no matter what i do it stays that way but it will still sync everytime i plug it in. Thoughts?

- Reset the iPod. Nothing will be lost.
Reset iPod touch: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears
- Restore the iPOd from backup via iTunes
- Restre the iPod to factory defaults/new iPod
If you still have the problem. then it is very likely due to a hrdware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in ordert o confirm and outline your options.

Well, Thanks @IlIaass for letting me know that the screen doesn't get replacve but you get a new iPod. But then doesn't that indirectly mean that if your iPod is under warranty, you can get the refurbished one i.e. a new screen!! ?

Creative Zen Touch - Hard drive problems - HD upgr

Hi!
I bought my Creative Zen Touch almost a year ago now. Yesterday my hard dri've went crazy. The sound was a funky rythm, 0 DJ "scrathes" then one more high-pitched sound. In the Rescue menu I try to format the hard dri've and it responds with "Hard dri've problems."
Yes, it has fallen down several times. I don't know what caused it to malfunction this time though. It suddenly just stopped working. It looks like a mess, was bought over internet under the name of a mother of my frien; to make a long story short. I have no warranty :/
So here's what I decided; I opened it up to take a look inside it. Here's what I found:
- One loose battery, too much dirt on the sticky stuff.
- One hard dri've, model: HTC424020F7AT00
And here is my main questions:
- Can I use a 40gb Hitachi dri've in my 20GB Zen Touch? This is just the big brother, so the dri'ves are pretty much the same except storage space. http://tinyurl.com/4yurr

Thanks for your reply SSR. I'm a clueless as to what the controller is, but at least I've found out that the Creative Zen Touch 20GB uses a .8" harddri've. So the larger Fujitsu Siemens 2.5" dri'ves, which the Creative Nomad Zen Players use, aren't compatible.

My Creative Zen Touch is refusing to work! HE

Ive got the 20GB Creative Zen Touch Mp3 Player and today, it just stopped working. Its less than a month old, didnt get knocked or anything. I put it down on my desk at college, an hour later, i picked it up and left, tried to turn it on and it won't work. I had about 3000 songs on it too. Before you say the battery has probably run out... Ive tried that! Does anyone have any ideas about what to do to sort it out other than sending it off? Anyone know how to get the songs off their if I do have to get it repaired? The person at Currys told me I would loose all the songs on their if I sent it off for repair, so any help from anyone is welcome. Thanks

Hi. I've been searching the forums for zen touch cases and have a few questions about the ones discussed.
RE: the Krussel flip case. I tend to use the touch pad a lot to switch songs, etc. Will I be able to open the case a lot to access the touch pad or is the headphone jack in the way?
RE: the Belkin Dell DJ case. There was a link to see a picture, but it doesn't work anymore. Could anyone describe what this one looked like. Is it the drawstring one or something else?
RE: the esxpect skin. Do these really do much to protect the player? We li've in the country and also am looking for something to try to keep dust out as much as possible.
Any other suggestions regarding cases?

I've got the Krusell case. If you use the stock headphones or any with an L-shaped jack you're going to be fine. If you've got phones with a straight jack, you might want to use an L-shaped adapter (if there are any) because it could get in your way depending on the brand. So far I'm really satisfied with the case, it seems to be really well made.
